Monolith, under an earlier name, constructed a very nice garden path and stone garden stairs for us several years ago. HOWEVER, the stone walls they constructed are very poorly done and continue to be problematic as the front-placed shims fall out into the garden on a regular basis. We since learned from highly-trained stone masons that walls should never be shimmed from the front but rather the back. They did a sloppy, unprofessional job for which they charged. $10,000! Micah even admitted to mistakenly placing drainage rocks where they should not have but made no apologies or offer of a refund. Furthermore, poorly supervised crew raked stone-filled mud over my well-prepared garden bed. I am reminded with the onset of Spring as I am STILL picking rocks out of the soil. My advice to potential customers: “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.”

Sarah, Micah and the entire Monolith crew were great to work with on our backyard project. Sarah designed a plan that was just what we needed to make our backyard in our new home more functional, and we plan to do additional work with them to enhance the fun and beauty of the backyard later this year. Communication was excellent, they were able to start and finish right on schedule, and they were flexible regarding working with other contractors we had working on our property simultaneously (one of whom they recommended to us). They were also able to pivot and provide us with multiple options in our design when inevitably unexpected hurdles were encountered. Great job all around, and we look forward to work with them again before the year is up!

I don't have the words to express my gratitude for Micah, Sarah, and the Monolith team. They completely transformed our outdoor space into something I would have never dreamed was possible. After having several estimates from other landscaping design companies, Micah and team were the only ones to come up with a good way to improve our view of our huge retaining wall. Our project included finding better use of some unused parts of our yard, landscaping to disguise the retaining wall, new paver patio, new flower beds, a stone walking path, grading/leveling of the yard completely, new grass, and they fixed some drainage issues we have had since we purchased our home. Micah has such an eye for this work and the Monolith team was professional and quick. Micah and Sarah made sure to answer any and all questions we had during the design process and made sure we were 100% happy with everything before the construction started. Once everything was finalized, the team had the yard completely done in about 4 days, even with the freezing temps and 6 inches of snow. I highly recommend this company for all things landscaping and I will definitely use them again in the future!

We had French drains installed and they added an underground holding pan for evaporation. It’s worked wonderful. Nice people and great work!

They went above and beyond and worked with us at every turn over the last few weeks to create/install our “infinity” fire-pit, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, boulder bridge, etc and we couldn’t be happier with them and the outcome. I highly recommend their services.

Monolith did a a complete spring yard cleanup including mulch, weed removal and some sodding a few other small jobs and I am so pleased with the outcome. Their attention to detail is remarkable. I have had some negative experiences in the past where without specifically asking, only the bare minimum would be done. It was so refreshing to work with a company that thought things through so thoroughly that every time I questioned whether something would be included, the answer was, "Of course it will!".

Lastly, but worth mentioning as it is something so close to my heart, I really appreciated working with someone who was open to and knowledgeable about using native and pollinator friendly species of plants!

Sarah and Brandon were both professional landscape experts, offering their recommendations throughout our project. Even after our project was done, they still helped consult with some lawncare and landscape challenges we had. It was such a great experience working with this company from start to finish. Michael, Brandon and Sarah were wonderful! We had them lay some giant flagstones for our firepit area and they also used Gator Nitro to fill in the gaps. It looks fantastic and will be a well used patio area for years to come. Micah and Sarah with Monolith did a great job and accomplished exactly what we wanted. They were a pleasure to work with and were very clear about when and what they were doing to replace a retaining wall and fix the water drainage issues away from our house. We thought that we would need two retaining walls replaced, but Micah suggested we get one of the walls (the bigger/more expensive one) looked at by an engineer because it may not have needed to be replaced at all. Turns out he was right, and that saved us a lot of money since we now didn't need to replace a 4ft tall by 20ft long retaining wall.

The crew worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves each day. I will definitely be working with Monolith in the future for more landscape improvements around my house.

Communication is big for me and they exceeded expectations. Jose and the crew were on time everyday once they started. They cleaned up after every day of work and always checked in with us. Juan, Jose and all of the guys were great! I had a natural spring in my back yard that was turning the yard into a swamp. Other companies wouldn’t even touch it. It took them longer than I expected it would to come out but that was mainly because of weather. Once they were on my property, they were very professional and fast. I was impressed with how quickly they were done. We have backyard goats and they learned their names and even did small extra things for them. I was nervous about how they would be working around the goats but they did such a great job. They also helped me with a couple other requests that I had and gave me advice for my other projects. They were all very kind and went above and beyond for us. They made a minor mistake but I pointed it out and they took care of it right away. I’d recommend them to anyone with a drainage issue. Our yard is finally drying up!
