Do not recommend at all! My mother has been dealing with them for the past few years trying to get them to fix everything they have done. Originally had a new unit and vents installed. Shortly after install, noticed there was low airflow coming from the vents and condensation leaking from wall vents. Then when having the floors redone our contractor pointed out THE DUCTS WERE JUST LAYING ON THE GROUND AND SOME WERE HALF CONNECTED HANGING OFF! Not to mention it seemed they knocked some blocks off and never put them back. Called them out to "repair it" was told it would fix everything. WELL IT DID NOT. There was more airflow downstairs, but upstairs there was still condensation and little airflow. After back and forth for almost a year with their "warranty" we gave up and called a new company to come out and take a look. First thing they told us was they recommended us the wrong sized unit the house. It was designed for a house half this size. How, over the calls for 3 years, was this overlooked? Now after shelling out $10k more on top of of everything Choate's was paid, there is a new unit that is the correct size, proper airflow from all vents without condensation, and damage from the condensation on the walls and floors we need to repair.

Choates is easy to work with whether it’s annual system inspections or maintenance work. Leungeluo Robbins did a great job at my home this week. He’s very friendly, respectful and gets the updates/maintenance work done quickly and efficiently.

After getting another opinion, our furnaces do not need replacing. They are in great shape.

The one furnace just needed a new board. The other furnace just needed the fan speed to be adjusted.

Total repair all in... $385.

It was totally inappropriate and unethical to suggest new equipment to the tune of $31,000

Please cancel our Family Plan effectively immediately.

We are beyond dissatisfied. We paid multiple $99 service call fees for the upstairs furnace and were initially told it was the hot surface ignitor. It wasn't. Then were quoted $1600 for a new board. 4 times as much as it actually cost.

We were also told the main floor furnace needed to be replaced. It was a simple fan adjustment.

We expect some sort of reimbursement for tbe erroneous service charges, for wasting our time, and trying to sell is $31k of unnecessary equipment.

We will no longer be using Choates. And you can believe none of our neighbors will either.

This is the type of predatory behavior that gives free market Capitalism a bad name.

Alfredo and his team were punctual, precise in communication, respectful of my family, pets and home, professional in every respect and given the scope of the work completed, left no mess. For an all-day install project there was no inconvenience and they more than improved the quality of air in our upstairs.

Predatory sales tactics so you better be prepared to pay 4 times the average price. Quoted at the lowest a 4000 repair and recommended full replacements of everything for 31,000. I had a second and third quote and ended up paying 385 dollars and my furnace was fixed and has been working great for 30 days. What would you rather pay 385 or 31,000?
These guys are crooks and thats being kind!

Well, I called them about 12 o’clock Sunday afternoon and they arrived about 630 that evening. He had to go and get some parts but he came back and fixed it real quick but after he left it busted again but he came right back re-repaired it and we turned the water back on make sure it held and he waited there. He didn’t leave till 11:00 PM, but the job was complete and he finally left. I was happy. I was able to take a shower again after two days.

Our family and I had a sudden power outage and in our time of need, Thomas assisted us as soon as he could. Very detailed work ethic and we had electricity back on that morning. He was very informative on where we needed to be aware of maintenance wise. Would recommend him in the future! Definitely need to look into the FAM plan

Our Choates team was fantastic! They went above and beyond to replace our hvac system. Our house is complicated to say the least but they took it with stride and overcame all the obstacles thrown at them. Great team!

The service technician (Tucker) was great. He arrived early, was friendly and courteous, and explained everything he did as well as work that was not needed. However, when I called to set up the appointment for service I was misled about the cost. I'm not happy about that. Note: This was not Tucker's fault but the fault of the person who booked my appointment.

He thoroughly inspected every part of our air conditioning unit, explaining each step of the process clearly. What truly stood out was his attention to detail and concern for our safety—he pointed out that our electrical panel was outdated and could pose a fire hazard, which we were completely unaware of.

Devin didn’t just speak to me; he made sure to take the time to explain everything to my wife as well, showing great patience and respect. Jaden Peden came out to check on our heating system. He was the nicest young man. Very knowledgeable and patient in answering all of our questions. Very professional and polite! Choate’s should be so proud to have him as an employee!

Mr. Baptist was very professional and promptly identified the issue with my unit - both inside and outside. He was neat, wearing shoe covers as he entered my home. When the defective part was identified, he carefully informed me of the part/price then with my approval, replaced the part and finally checked to ensure everything was working properly. Great service!

David Luther was my Heating unit repair man. He was prompt, courteous and very thorough. He walked me through the repair cost options and maintenance plans that would work best for me. I would highly recommend David and Choates.

Kevin provided excellent service when he came to discuss purchasing of a generator.
He was very knowledgeable and shared information we were not aware of..
We would highly recommend his services.
We were also thrilled he works for Choates and we have been doing business with them many years and have always been very pleased with their service.

Outstanding Service and Resolution from Choates
I initially had several issues with my Carrier 2-stage AC unit — including noise, uneven temperature, and concerns about installation. However, Choates went above and beyond to make things right.
After reaching out to the manager, all my concerns were addressed within a week. The company replaced the original unit at no extra cost and even reimbursed the $99 service fee from a prior unresolved visit. Every technician I interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.
The manager personally ensured that the matter was handled quickly and thoroughly, exceeding my expectations. The new unit is performing exactly as promised — quiet, efficient, and consistent throughout the house.
I truly appreciate the integrity and responsiveness Choates demonstrated. They turned a frustrating experience into a 5-star one. Highly recommend!

After another successful day on the job, we had a great experience with Mr. Culver and Mr. Alcazar helping us with an electrical installation. They were very understanding of our situation and all around a splendid result. Our family will be in contact again for any future jobs

Called Choate’s about a tankless water heater descaling that the plumber who installed it did not want to do. I got Choate’s number from the manufacturer’s (Rinnai) website as a certified maintenance provider. Chris Allen came and did the work the morning I called. Did an excellent job. Great communicator! Price was as estimated! Super nice. I would trust Chris and Croat’s to do other work!

All 3 technicians were very professional. Had outdoor plumbing problem. Got quick response & service in morning (Ashley), Follow up in afternoon (Tucker), and repair on Monday (Brandon & Timothy). Most highly recommend Choates--they have superb technicians who know what they're doing!

Choate’s was wonderful. They did the job quickly and professionally. Kord was so nice and explained everything well. I will definitely use them again.

Thomas Chism is an excellent electrician. He installed a ceiling fan and outlets behind my TV. You can’t tell any work has been completed in my home today. You can tell Thomas is very knowledgeable about his craft. And most importantly, he loves what he does and that is shown in his work. The world needs more people like Thomas. Keep up the good work! Dylan was super when he visited our home to fix our boiler. He was polite, nice, very knowledgeable concerning what we needed.
