Building Restoration reviews in Knoxville, Tennessee

Great work and responsive. Will definitely use them again!
-
All of the contractors and staff were very kind, and my project turned out beautifully!
-
Very professional and willing to go the extra mile to get things right. Project manager Tony is spot on in his estimates and includes all the"little" things that your insurance company leaves off
-
Disappointing service. Days of delay and unresponsiveness. Final pricing on insurance job included some inflated numbers and add ons in spite of initial assurances that they would work strictly off the adjuster's quote sheet. Did not sign or commit to contract. Went elsewhere.
-
Nice people but they were terrifying slow. They do not know the phase, “Quality Workmanship”!!!! DON’T USE THEM! Your insurance company can do much better!!!!
-
Very professional work, and kept the area clean.

Avoid this company if you can. After having my garage broke into my insurance company contacted them to fix a small window approximately 2X2 and they charged an outrageous amount of $170. My insurance company did pay a portion of my bill while I was responsible for the other half. I received an invoice on 8/16/2012, four days later on 8/21/12 I receive a call from Gwen Mazur asking when they can expect to recieve payment. 4 days are you SERIOUS?!?! I let her know at that time that my husband gets paid every 2 weeks on friday and that I would send out a check when he receives his check. 8 days later she then sends me an email asking about payment again. My bill is not over due by any means, in fact I have never been late on any payment ever! I find this mannor extreamly upsetting. What company only sends you an email invoice and then houds its customers like this? I personally would never use this company again due to the extreamly high prices, and unprofessional customer service.

Home was damaged by fire, some beyond repair so we had to start over in those areas. Yes, there were some major problems with the company management, e.g., they were slow to begin our house rebuild, and they didn't have our interests in mind. The project manager, however, was a tremendous resource for us, always looking out for us and our interests. His skill level was high, his commitment to our project was great, and he saw the job completed, and in quality. He brought us into the planning stages and helped guide us to make sound decisions. Some of the subs were good, others not so much. Yes, there were problems, too many in fact. But in hindsight, we can't say enough good about the project manager. He did a great job for us.

Nothing but a pleasant experience. Brian and his team did a great job replacing the tile/trim downstairs and in the hall bath after some water damage. Flexible in schedule and appreciate them accommodating us.

A very strong wind and downdraft blew the built-up roof off my 10,000 sq ft warehouse leaving the old flat roof underneath it exposed. There was a thick layer of insulation under the flat roof and ceiling panels under the insulation. The insulation and panels were water logged and a huge mess. Landmark removed the old flat roof and then disposed of all the insulation and panels which was in itself a huge job. Landmark did a great job installing the structure for the new roof and then the roof itself. During the entire process they communicated extremely well with me and kept me informed as to what the next step would be and when to expect that segment of the restoration to be done. To say the least, I was extremely pleased with all aspects of their work. I am very glad to give Landmark my whole-hearted recommendation.

When on-site the contractors did a very good job. Unfortunately, there was a lot of overpromising and under delivering from the foreman when it came to being on-site. Without question things like a major snowstorm for this area impacted somethings, and I don't blame them for that, but communication was poor for months and didn't start to pick up until I reached out to the VP. In the end the work they did was worthy of repeat service, but the stress of dealing with lack of communication, and interruptions in work due to being told a time they would be somewhere only for them not to show up means I likely wouldn't reach out to them again unless something in the work they did for this project fails and is covered by warranty.

We had a great experience with this company taking care of our total kitchen renovation. Our project manager, Richard, listened to what we wanted, explained the entire process in detail, thought of things that hadn't occurred to us, and cheerfully took care of all of our requests. He even did some of the work himself to make sure everything was finished on time. He enjoys his work and it shows. His crew, TJ and Michael, were absolutely top notch--they were polite, professional, highly skilled, extremely focused, and they always made a point to clean everything up really well before they left for the day, which made it much easier for us to live through the inevitable disruption that comes with any major renovation. Our new kitchen is beautiful, and I'm extremely pleased with the job Landmark did. I would absolutely hire them again.

They were very mindful of the work they did and cleaned up very well after the work, every day they were at my home.

A large tree fell during a storm destroying one side of my home. It was recommended that I contact Landmark Corporation to do the mitigation work and rebuild, and I am forever happy for that recommendation. Landmark was on the scene immediately with tarps and a cleanup team; then, the rebuild plans commenced. Tony was the site manager, and he was wonderful. He was very reachable any time I called or emailed him and always helpful and reassuring during the process. If I had any questions, he made sure they were quickly addressed. I also had good contact with others at Landmark including Brian and Gwen, and they were always very nice and helpful as well. There is not a negative comment I could make about this great team, and I will definitely pass along the recommendation of Landmark’s services to any of my family and friends!

We had extensive water damage in our home and within 2 hours of the damage occurring, Southeast Restoration was there to help. In a time of stress, they took all the weight off my shoulders and handled every step of the project with confidence and professionalism. Randall and Kieran were the first people in my home. They worked quickly to remove the water and took the time to explain everything they were doing step by step. Justin was our estimator and he was very responsive and knowledgeable and great to talk with! He gave me comfort in knowing his team was the best and they would handle our project effortlessly. Finally, Tyler and Chase came by to begin our repairs and see our project through. And wow, I cannot say enough great things about them! They are personable, knowledgeable, and I felt like they truly cared about me and my concerns. I had a very tight timeline to get repairs done in my home, and both Tyler and Chase made sure to make that happen. I cannot thank them and the entire team enough for their hard work, dedication, and true customer service. Because of these guys, my home is even better than it was before. Thank you!!!

I am so grateful to have found Tyler and the Southeast Restoration team. What began as an unfortunate nightmare of extensive water damage to my kitchen ultimately turned into the kitchen of my dreams, all thanks to Southeast Restoration.
From start to finish, every member of the Southeast team—estimator, finance, and especially Tyler, the exceptional project manager—was professional, responsive, and compassionate. Their communication was consistent and clear throughout the entire process, which immediately put me at ease. They truly make you feel that they are caring for your home as if it were their own.
Tyler took the time to really listen to my vision and needs, explaining every step and helping me navigate the tough decisionmaking. His professional expertise, attention to detail and deep understanding of construction meant that potential issues were identified and addressed before they ever became problems. I had complete trust in the team, and they delivered beyond my expectations.
One of the most remarkable aspects was their transparency and adherence to the timeline—something I rarely experience with construction projects. Everything was completed on schedule, with no surprises or delays.
Thanks to Southeast Restoration, what started as a disaster became a true transformation. I couldn’t be happier with the final result and will absolutely turn to them for any future projects. -
Our water damage wasn’t a big job, but Southeast had a team to demo & dry out the area, then another team that did the repairs to restore the bathroom. EVERYONE we dealt with were very helpful and communication was great. All of the guys that came into the home were very courteous to my stepmom and took time explaining every step from start to finish. She was very pleased with the finished work! Thank you to Briana, Randall, Sam, Justin, Lori, Heather, Tyler, Chase & Gilberto.

Southeast Restoration is the company you want to use, hands down. They hire the right people and do their work the right way.
After a water leak, we had to replace almost all of our hardwood flooring in the house. We went with Southeast Restoration on a recommendation, and could not be happier with their work. A lot of the flooring and trim is custom, and they did an excellent job matching the materials and making difficult cuts, in a lot of places better than the original. They replaced approx. 3,500 sq.ft. of hardwood flooring with multiple levels, closets, stairs and posts to cut around, replaced the custom trim, drywall, insulation, bathroom floor tile, bathtub surround tile, and painted - and it is all absolutely beautiful.
In addition to the workmanship from Travis and his team, we are especially impressed with the project management from Tyler Breeding, who graciously worked with us so we could stay in our home while the repairs were being made, coordinating and scheduling everything around us, and getting it all done timely. Tyler and Travis both are very personable and professional, and addressed every issue we had right away. We couldn't be happier with their craftsmanship, flexibility and attentiveness.
Southeast Restoration is a very successful company and I believe it's because everyone we met and spoke with is actually really good at their job - Justin Berkley, our field estimator, Joshua Lathrop, the senior project manager, Tyler Breeding, our project manager, Travis, Ira, Heather - have all been very attentive and careful in planning and working to get our house back to 100%, and we appreciate the whole team.
I would absolutely recommend Southeast Restoration. These are the guys you can trust. We are now hiring them for another job to redo our aging deck. -
Southeast Restoration just completed a total remodel of our bathroom after a major water leak. The entire Knoxville team were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Peyton, our project manager, was an excellent communicator and kept us informed of the daily schedule. The sub contractor, Otis Burke and his crew were easy to deal with and offered great suggestions. They did a great job; we love how it looks.

Southeast Restoration was a life saver! When Hurricane Helene graced East Tennessee with wind and rain, she took out a 54 year old oak tree and it fell on my parents house. The tree took out half of the house. I never knew a tree could cause that much damage! My brother and I just stared at the damage and were lost. We had no idea where to begin or who to call. Our insurance agent gave us several names and as soon as he said Southeast, my brother said that was who we were going to go with. My nephew knew several people from Southeast but worked mainly with Tyler. Everyone we worked with from the office was so nice and helpful. They helped us get started with insurance and what steps to take. When I met Tyler and he told me “it’s not that bad” , I thought he was nuts!! Tyler “held our hand” through every step. Never giving us too much at one time to overwhelm us. He either emailed, texted or called weekly with updates. The crew that worked on the house was fantastic. They never cared when I showed up and asked all sorts of questions. I was lucky enough to get to know a few them and make some new friends! If you are lucky enough to get this crew they are awesome and love donuts!
We were very fortunate to have chosen Southeast. I couldn’t have asked for nicer people, a good work ethic and quality workmanship. If I ever need anything else, I will call them first thing. The house is beautiful. Thank you Southeast, Tyler and crew!
