5 STARS!!! I I absolutely love our new gas insert. Great servicemen, great team. Was on time, courteous, helpful! Could not ask for any better service! When the tech came originally & inspected what we had, they could fix it, but it was cheap, old, and worn out. It was all shown and explained to me, he wasn't just trying to sell me on something new. When they said they could have someone out the following day for the new install, I was impressed! Thank you, TN Fireplace & Chimney

Hey everyone, if you want to spend $$$$ and not get the work or warranty fix, please contact Tn Fireplace and Chimney. They do 1 thing right. They know how to take money. My wife talked with them 3 weeks ago went into the office and they set an appointment. They no showed us. Never called until hours after, and rescheduled. They no showed us again without the common courtesy to call. Then they called and said because of our reviews of the NOT AWESOME SERVICE, they thought they were not welcome. Come on, you are selling a service that you have no business doing, because you cannot fix problems. We have a waterfall in our fireplace with videos to prove it. And they still won’t come to HONOR their warranty. We our contacting our Attorney to start the process to sue. If anyone wants to join in on a Class Action lawsuit let us know. We have 3 months left of the 1 year warranty. They keep delaying so they no longer have to fix their incompetent work. The business is so bad, they hardly have employees left. How was the scope of the work completed? You were hired to fix a leaking chimney. That is what you were hired for. So no, you didn’t complete or honor your warranty, No where does it state that you only fix once. You still have not fixed the issue you were hired for. I have videos if you want to see them please come over next week. Show us you have integrity and come over.

I hired them to sweep and inspect the chimney prior to selling my house and they did show up on time and clean the chimney, but it took more than 3 weeks to get their inspection report. 3 days prior to closing on the house they finally sent the report saying the chimney was unsafe and required $15,000 in repairs. I was able to get another opinion from a different and more experienced company who stated that no repairs were needed and the chimney was in good working condition. Hiring them was almost a very costly mistake and created a great deal of stress!

Really enjoyed working with this company. Office staff are very clear and easy to deal with. The installers were on time and super sweet gentlemen. They also did a really great job at making sure the floors were protected and clean up was perfect. There explanation of how the new gas fireplace equipment worked was really appreciated. The two gentlemen took there time in explaining and answering any questions I had. Would highly recommend the company as a whole!

Completely unprofessional and unreliable. Had 3 different appointments with them, and they never called or showed up for any of them. I’m not even sure how people like this stay in business!

I recently had a very costly and disappointing experience with TN Fireplace and Chimney of Knoxville TN. The service was far below expectations. After charging me $400 to repair my fireplace the issues remain unresolved. Because the technician was not prepared to diagnose causal factors he called his supervisor who scheduled a second appointment with me which they never showed up for. After calling the office multiple times and leaving messages no one has returned my calls and messages. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and professional service I now have to spend more money with another company because of TN Fireplace and Chimney incompetence.

TN Chimney was highly recommended by a neighbor who had extensive work done to her fireplace and chimney. The work I needed was less complicated but had been put off for too long. I got several quotes and was very impressed by TN Chimneys presentation and pricing. I went with them and I am very glad that I did. The work surpassed my expectations and the communication was excellent from start to finish. I recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of work.

I have had another chimney sweep company "clean" ours for the past 20 years or so. When I called them this summer, they didn't respond promptly so I called TN Fireplace and Chimney. This time time the news was eye opening as we found out how dangerous our situation was. To make this story short, I was blown away with just how professional these guys are.

Their attention to detail and communication is unparalleled. Tyler is a rock star and was one of the most courteous professionals we've ever had visit our property in the 35 years we've been here. Overall, top notch. We'll rest easy knowing that our flue and fireplace is safe to use this winter and many more to come.

What great service. Josh and Jacob were thoroughly professional in all aspects as they repaired, cleaned and added a new damper to our 1938 fireplace. They basically rebuilt the interior of the fireplace which was needed for safety reason while other companies just ignored the problem which was quite difficult to fix. The picture attached is Josh actually standing up inside firebox to fix it right. Having lived in this house for 37 years they were by far the BEST SERVICE we have ever hired.

Your experts were on time, very knowledgeable offered suggestions and yearly maintenance, as well as suggestion to replace my smoke shield. They took their time into my surprise, left no evidence that they were there at all! They were courteous and informative. I would definitely recommend you to my friends and family. Keep doing what you’re doing!

This place used to do good service, but now they refuse to answer the phone. I drove all the way out here and no one would open the door even though there were cars outside. I have been trying to get them to come work on my stove for 5 months. Do not use them. The high ratings were from before whatever change occurred in their business.

This company is a blessing!

You make an appointment for them to come into your home and they give you a brochure to pick out what you desire in a wood stove or fireplace.

We had 2 super respectful gentlemen come and help us with our stove and were up front with the amount. We were able to use financing so we can afford our beautiful stove.

It took about 3 weeks to install our stove and 2 other very respectful and hard working men perfectly installed our stove and cleaned up after themselves inside and out where their truck was that you wouldn't even know they were here.

Our stove works BEAUTIFULLY and we are so grateful to have a stove we can use for a lifetime to come.

This is the place you want to go for the best of the best.

This company has really gone downhill after an ownership and employee changeover. I suggest you look elsewhere. We’ve spent close to $10k on liners, inserts and caps with them but they will not return calls or cover warranty work after paying a premium for yearly cleanings. They left my fireplace in questionable state after our August cleaning for this years burning season after a $350 cleaning.

We used this company to fix our chimney cap in 2020 and it was a great company before. We scheduled a cleaning and inspection couple weeks ago and they didn't show up and no calls.

I delayed writing this because they did give us a small discount and made attempts to correct the work, but looking at it a year later I’m still unsatisfied.

After going back and forth with them for months to have the work completed and then fixed, I will still need to pay someone again to repair their work. The exterior work sloppy. It is still receiving water damage despite promises to resolve the issue. I won’t go into all of it but the photos speak for themselves.

Overall they were fairly expensive and the quality of the work was disappointing.

We had an appointment to have our chimney cleaned before the holidays. Was a no show. When we rescheduled for a different day, he never showed up. Disappointing because they’ve done good work for us in the past.

I wouldn’t use this company. I scheduled a few weeks out for a chimney inspection/cleaning. I was told they would be there on a Thursday.

Thursday came and I received a phone call saying “hey did our tech reach out? I responded no- he did not. The gentleman said that he is having problems with his van and will have to take it to the shop to reschedule.

I completely understand things happen. No problem so we rescheduled for today. (A week later on the following Thursday.)

Today has came and went- I received the same phone call asking if the tech reached out, which no one has, then stating that the van has went down again and I would have to be rescheduled again.

I am now close to a month out from the original phone call and have just been pushed off due to this “Van” being such a POS.

No thanks. I will spend my money somewhere else.

The sales rep seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Quick to answer all my questions however install has been nothing short of a nightmare. The sales rep is no longer there. The job still isn't finished 5 months later and I have a crooked chimney after they came out and "fixed" it twice. Photos are after being “fixed” at different times and my unfinished fireplace. They continue to tell me nothing is wrong with it. When the service guys came out to finish the install they said they didn't know anything about finishing the install and the parts we had (which they had provided) they insisted were not correct. I have been trying to get my chimney fixed and fireplace finished with multiple phone calls. I filed a case with the BBB which they didn't respond to. You are lucky if you can get a call back.

I had an Osburn wood fireplace insert installed 3 years ago and it has never worked as good as the old insert. It is under warranty and I need someone to fix it or replace it. I tried calling 2 phone numbers that I have and neither one is working. Don't use this company to install a fireplace insert. Their customer service is awful. My new insert is defective & they won't fix or replace it. It sucks!!!

Jacob (sales) was very kind and willing to answer all our questions. The company was able to order the wood burning insert we wanted and quickly get us on their schedule. Tyler (installer) was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job with the installation. He showed us how to work the new insert, built a fire with us, and even taught us a trick for how to clean the glass when it gets dirty.

The installer crew did run a couple hours later than expected each day, but it’s a busy time of year for fires (December), so I imagine they had lots of requests coming in. Overall we are very pleased!

We had an Osborn Matrix 2700 insert installed last year. Of all the companies I reached out to, TN Fireplace was the most responsive. Scheduling the install was tricky, but they did a good job when they showed up.

The stove has a blower that can be manually turned on, or automatically turns on when it gets hot enough. The thermostat for the automatic setting did not work. I spoke to Jacob and have several emails dating back to December of last year that they had ordered the replacement part. I've tried to get in touch with them several times this summer. At first, they responded, but I haven't been able to get a call or email back regarding updates. It's not a major inconvenience, but it's frustrating. I was told the stove was under warranty by the manufacturer and that the installer would have to coordinate everything.

UPDATE: I felt it would be appropriate to add an update. Following my review, TN Chimney reached out immediately and came onsite. They felt the issue with the fan was a faulty thermodisc. I don't believe they had any luck with the manufacturer, and they were told by other installers that they are faulty. I reached out to Osburn directly and they disputed this and were generally unhelpful. I ended up purchasing a new thermodisc and rheostat myself. I would recommend considering a stove insert other than Osburn . Customer service clearly isn't great and they don't seem to have any interest in validating/helping the customer - additionally, I have paint pealing on the front of my stove after a second season using it. Very pretty stove but poor customer service and some operational concerns.
