Good work but they rescheduled too many times. They are very busy.

Called for a faulty low voltage sensor the day after Christmas, had me fixed and covered under warranty even with not having the part on hand in less than 3 hours.

Not happy
Scheduled an appointment for someone to come out for an estimate
They said they would call before they came
They never called
Someone knocked on our door but we were not home
I called explained I work less then two miles from the house and they said they would have to reschedule
No thank you! -
incredible response time and quality work. I"ve been in one Memphis house for 30+ years and depended on Ellendale for electrical needs. Never been disappointed.

The techs that came to my residence were very polite, clean and knowledgeable.Answering all my questions to my satisfaction! Would hope if I ever needed assistance again we hope that the electricians and security techs I had return to service us again.

Monitored my home for over 20 years. Quick response to service calls. Installed cell phone line & new touchpad for a reasonable price

Recently used Ellendale Electric, and they charged me $95.00 to do a very simple wiring job for an electrical outlet. When asked why it was so much I was informed there was a $95.00 service fee.

Just had a run in with someone who works for your company. He drove across the parking lot into traffic, I paused to allow him to get merge into traffic and he proceeded to pull up next to me and yell while my kids were in the car. I didn't respond to him, but I remember what he looks like. Scariest thing I've ever experience in my life. To try to intimidate a woman in her car with her children under any cirumstance is unacceptable and to do in your company car is despicable.

Extremely professional electricians. These guys were able to fix a big problem for me by ripping out sheet rock and replacing wiring on a circuit for me. They got the job done timely and was budget friendly

Well, now that the Ice Storm of 2022 is in the history books, I am finally.back to normal. I lost power for 9 days and before MLGW could come out, the weather head connection had to be repaired. Ellendale sent out a certified electrician (required) and his apprentice. They called first, completed the job in about 1.5 hours and explained in detail the repairs. They even provided crucial information to pass on to MLGW which saved me 1 less day of outage. I give them my highest recommendation.

Called to make an appointment 10 days ago. Was confirmed, but today there is no record of it! I was asked who I spoke to when I originally called (?!), so I guess they do not have any sort of booking system for appointments. Great way to lose potential customers and get bad reviews. C'est la vie!

I called during a power outage. Was having trouble with running the blower on my HVAC to heat the house. Their rep in the office spent a lot of time on the phone trouble shooting with me. Got great advice. Have since had them quote putting in a permanent connection for the generator to power our house.

I don't write reviews often just because I feel that they can potentially cost a business their livelihood. But after talking with Ellendale Electric and being told that they would charge me (at least) 500$ to pull a Shelby County $20 permit for strapping 2 lines to the side of the house. That means I'm dealing with an up-charge of over $450. When I asked why it could possibly be that high, their excuse was simply the fact that they have a master license. Well, you don't have to be a master anything to rip people off and that is just pathetic. I've called 3 other electrical companies since speaking with these individuals, and they literally all have faster turn around AND lower (seriously, by 3 times) prices for the exact same process (most were shocked that anyone could get away with the $500 charge!)
Anyway, just be sure to do your research. Very nice customer service - don't get me wrong. But prices are NOT anywhere close to being on track with industry standards. -
I was on a wait list to get rewired in April. They pushed me back due to staffing from June to July. Then they dropped off the face of the earth. Turns out they closed their residential customer business and did not bother informing me after I had been schedule with them for ~4 months. If they had given me the courtesy of letting me know that they were shutting down, I would have given someone else my business months ago.

I have used Ellendale Electric for years on all my properties that i need electrical work on. I called scheduled an appointment had to wait a week to get someone out there. I called on Friday when they came out. The girl with an attitude that answered the phone told me i would have the estimate on Monday. They didnt get the paperwork until the end of the business day, well I called today to see where my estinate was & she didnt know she said she could ask Jimmy (whoever Jimmy is)
I said, you know this is ridiculous to have to wait over a week to get an estimate on such a small house, that's not 15 minutes away from their shop. I told her you know just don't worry about it, " She said you know what ok, that would be great" this was at least a $4,000.00 job they just lost. I would never use Ellendale again. -
An Engineer friend recommended Ellendale Electric to us and we have used them several times. Twice we had them install power sockets and ceiling fans and once to run 220V for an outside hot tub. They were on time, did very neat work, and tidied up after their work impeccably. We will use them in the future for all our electrical needs.

This company is one-in-a-million. I've called on them since 2016 when I need an electrician. They top any company I've ever done business with for providing skilled and conscientious service consistently, and especially for their honesty. Not just the techs, but every staff member you have contact with. On January 4, they sent technician Russell Nutt to change my dining room light fixture switch from a regular to a dimmer switch, and to repair the fixture, which had one socket that didn't work. My house was built in the 1940s, and this is the original fixture. I had been led to believe by an electrician from another company that the fixture was too old to be repaired. Russell Nutt quickly identified the problem as caused by the contact element inside the socket having been pushed down from use over the years. He said he simply pulled it back into place. Problem solved! (Note: This demonstrated his honesty; I had not mention beforehand to Mr. Nutt that I had been told the fixture was too old to repair). How I wish all service people were like him.

Ellendale Electric did the wiring for our new flat screen TV location. We were so impressed with how clean and efficient the job went. No sheetrock repair needed and we were sure there would be. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

I’ve been with Ellendale for 9 years. Their was a instance I forgot to pay a quarterly bill for one of me residents. When that happened I always received a courtesy call from Jane. Nevertheless, I received another call from someone in customer service advising Jane is no longer with the company and that I need led to pay the bill and she don’t have time to “baby sit” customers. I explained I always received a courtesy and I would pay it with no problem.
The customer service I received was horrible and the way she talked down was even more reason for me to cancel services. I have 11 properties that are no longer with Ellendale.
