I cannot speak highly enough about the team at Michael’s Tree & Loader Service! I’ve never had a tree removed or had any idea what to expect and this experience was a dream!! If you want an idea of what to expect, read on, otherwise TL;DR.

We had an old growth oak tree in the middle of the turn around at the side of our house that was making the parking space behind it all but unusable. It wasn’t just its massive size - we could’ve dealt with that - it was the constant falling limbs, dripping sap, bug/squirrel/bird mess, just an overall mess. AND our power, cable and phone lines all ran under the canopy in danger constantly of being taken out of service.

We called Michael’s on a recommendation from a friend. Mandi in the front office was very quick to have Anthony come out the next day to get us a quote. He was extremely knowledgeable about trees in general and how we needed to go about removing our particular nuisance. They gave us a very reasonable quote and were willing to wait while we gathered more information.

About a week later, we realized they were they best choice - not the least expensive but definitely the best overall value - and called to schedule. It ended up being good timing as they had a cancellation and could fit us in the next day. Mandi quickly coordinated with STEMC to get the electrical wires moved out of the way, and the next morning everything was ready to go.

Merlin and crew were perfect! They did everything with an efficient and watchful eye (even saved a baby squirrel), and moved the debris to the street. The debris was picked up the next day by Trent and his huge picker/dump truck.

Due to weather the stump grinding took a few extra days, but Merlin came back yesterday and that’s now gone so you can’t even tell a tree was there! I just waved goodbye to Trent who cleaned up the shavings from the grind and we are done!

This company was contracted out by the City of St. Louis to remove 2 trees on my block. After telling 2 workers to be careful around my water shut off valve, they still destroyed the cover and ripped it off. The supervisor from the tree service came and told me he was going to take care of it. After nothing happened for 2 weeks and repeated texts to the operations manager, I called the city water department. The city had no record of anyone calling in a work ticket to have the water inspector come out and take a look. I had to do everything myself.

I just watched them take down a hazardous 125 foot tall Sycamore tree overhanging structures for the city of Saint Louis. Showed up early at 7:30 and finished before 1:00. The street is clean and not a scratch on anything near. They're safe and professional.
The day before this I had these guys remove a 6 foot diameter by 20 foot trunk from a backyard that their grapple truck couldn't easily reach. The ones who felled that tree couldn't clear it and Michael's were the right choice for that job. The price was fair and they finished that in probably less than 3 hours.

This is the best company to get your trees removed. The price was reasonable and the work was professional. I will used them again.

Robinson Tree did a great job trimming up some large branches on my huge oak trees. They charged me exactly what was quoted. This Co. will be my first choice. I highly recommend them.

BEWARE. Do not give them your address over the phone!
I waited days & days for a call back after calling to schedule an estimate. Instead of calling me back, however, they sent a rep to my house without notice. When no one answered the door, he helped himself to my (gated) backyard, then left an estimate in my mailbox as though it was an acceptable business practice. I regret wasting my time calling a company that didn't bother to call back, and I absolutely regret giving them my address over the phone. If these are people who think it's acceptable to wander a customer's property without consent, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

I called for a quote to remove a tree and stump from my front yard. Gentlemen came out and said he would email me the quote by that evening or first thing the next morning at the latest. I called the following afternoon when i still didn't receive anything and the receptionist stated she would have someone look into it and get back to me. It's been 3 days since then and i still have not received a quote or a phone call back. Would not recommend!!

Robinson Tree provided service that exceeded our expectations. The removal of a very old and tall tree was executed in a military-like precision. We're really appreciative.

Robinson Tree Service took down a huge tree in my backyard. We were amazed with the crews' skills and professionalism. Jason helped us understand the process, and we even learned some things about trees!

Excellent. Very very good. Great work. They cleaned and chipped wood on the spot took trunks with them. Started at 7:45 and ended by 4:15. Price was nearly half what others were charging. My only issue was it took nearly a month for them to come out but it was worth the wait!!

Quality service at a reasonable price! Jason and his crew did a very nice job cleaning up our old oak trees, they look great.

This company is fantastic! They arrived here right on time on when they said they would and they did a fantastic job. They were respectful of my property and we’re very nice to deal with. I would definitely recommend them.

Way too expensive for the job I had, plus they would not take care of the entire tree that fell. Found a trusted source that did the entire job for half the quoted price.

UPDATE: construction company passed the quote on to me and totally messed up the entire scenerio. I should have known better than trust their word. Since this was an insurance claim I was told not to contact the tree service directly. Austin was very professional and came right out when the tree fell on my property. Rating changed to reflect their concern for customer service. My apologies to your company.

Excellent work. On time. Attentive. Efficient. Neat. (I do wish for a different online payment system. The shift from the Robinson web site to "Transaction Express" feels insecure, as does the "Transaction Express" web site, generally.)

We have used Robinson Tree Service for over 20 years. Jason has always been responsive and reasonable. The crews arrive on.time, are efficient, get the job (s) done and clean up and haul away. I highly recommend them.

They were not the cheapest estimate That I got, but I felt like Austin explained things to me. They were very careful not to drop anything on my roof or other property. Clean up was good. I am happy with the work and will use them again.

I shopped between various tree companies to have 2 trees in our backyard cut down and the stumps grinded down. Robinson Tree was by far the most affordable. From the moment they started cutting until the moment heyt hauled off the last branch, they were incredibly easy to work with. Everyone I've worked with from Austin, Cynthia, or even Jason has been super friendly and willing to do what they can to help us out. We recently called them back out to cut down 2 pines & will schedule them in the next month to bring down 3 more trees. Highly recommend.

I had a very large, old pecan tree cut down. It was leaning badly, and some of the large limbs had fallen during high winds and storms. Robinson did a great job. They hauled away the limbs and debris, and left the yard clean and smooth. The job was well supervised. Their people are friendly and pleasant. Their prices are reasonable.
