last year I wanted him to come back this year and add to it. Very professional in every aspect! His staff did an excellent job also. Marie is
a pleasure to work with!! This is the only company I will use for any of my landscaping needs.

I recently hired Hodges to do landscaping at my home. When I called I spoke with Marie who was very friendly and set up a time for a designer to come two days later. James Camp was the designer and he developed a plan for an edging wall, scrubs, flowers and trees for both my front and back yards that looks beautiful. He was very knowledgeable and created a beautiful design. I was told it would be about 3 weeks before they could complete the job, but after only one week all my plants were in and they were able to come. The workers Tony, Adam and Will worked really hard and were able to complete the job in one day. They also sweep and cleaned up everything. Because no one in Memphis had the kind of lilies James recommended, Marie drove all the way to Mississippi picked them up and drove them to my house so the job could be finished. Dan the owner of company stopped by several times and ran to get supplies as the workers needed them. He made sure the job was done to my satisfaction.
The entire crew went above and beyond to complete the job and even did a few things that were not part of the contract. I am completely satisfied with their work. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Daniel and his crew were extremely professional and polite. Took down 3 very large trees and ground the stumps for a very fair price. We will be using them for some other landscaping services this summer. I would highly recommend.

They did an incredible job installing edging, carving outflower beds, putting down weed fabric, planting shrubs and installing downspouts.

Also, price was clearly negotiated up front and fair. We had good, open communications and when I needed a bit more work or detail, they responded in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely use them again!

Hodges Tree and Landscaping. They didn't do everything that they said they would. Left a low hanging limb that is encroaching on my side. Didn't cut limbs off a tree on the front side in my front yard. I believe something on my property was damaged by the contractor's employees. Didn't remove a tree trunk as stated by one of the employer's employees or the employer himself. Left deep indentions in my back yard.

Truly exceptional work by an honest bunch of folks. I highly recommend them for any tree work you might have. They provided a quality of service that is altogether rare these days. I will never look further than Hodges for any landscaping services.

I was in an emergency situation and needed immediate help on a weekend. I called Hodges Tree & Landscape after calling several other companies. This crew was amazing. They showed up at my site very fast, cut a tree off my house, secured the property, and at a very reasonable price. This crew was extremely professional and respectful. I was thoroughly satisfied.

I'll say up front I was given a refund, so this isn't a scam company or someone who is going to take advantage of you. I hate to give a negative review for a company that does more than just firewood but I want to make sure people know to stay away from this firewood until they resolve their problems with seasoning. Everyone there seems nice and I know people have great experiences with their other services but the firewood is trash tier quality and if you're relying on wood for winter heat you need to know

I ordered a full cord delivered and stacked. The first issue is that I told them that there are two firewood racks. Neither rack will hold a full cord, but combined they will. They stacked the wood in one rack and left the other empty. This came out to about 3/5 of a cord.

The second issue is the quality of the wood. Some of it was so water logged my fingers dug into it when I picked it up. There's fungus growing on much of it too. I tried to burn some of the dry feeling wood but it doesn't stay burning in my stove. It took 4x the amount of starter to get the fire somewhat going. Then the wood was the smokiest stuff I've every encountered. It was popping and sparking everywhere with water pouring out the ends.

I have to leave my air intakes open at 100% just to keep the fire lit with this wood. My stove can't function as it's supposed to with it efficiency features and this wood will dirty up the interior insanely fast.

I suspect that the method they're using to season the wood is to chop it all and then throw it in a pile to season in the sun. This is not the correct way. It should be stacked and stored in covered racks to allow proper airflow and protection from rain. If this company changes their seasoning method in future years I would absolutely return, but the wood right now is completely useless.

This team does a great job of cutting/trimming. That portion of the service is always top notch. The only issue we’ve experienced is the lack of sticking to a schedule. We were told that the yard will be cut at least every 10 days, which is extremely reasonable, but that has only been the case a couple of times over the past 3-4 months. Weather delays are understandable but I believe we went three complete weeks in between cuts in July. If you call the support line, you’ll be told you’re scheduled for that day or the next, which also doesn’t seem to be consistently true.

Regardless, would still sign up for service next year, as at least they show up at some point, unlike the majority of landscaping services.

I recommend Hodges Tree & Landscape if you need flower bed work. Micah and Caleb did a superb job today trimming and shaping our ice storm damaged shrubs along with cleaning and mulching our flower beds. I worked with Micah before and trust his knowledge of and judgment as to how much to trim various shrubs and plants. Another plus to this company is they will use professional strength pre emergent in the beds if you ask for it. Like a lot of seniors, we can't do it ourselves anymore, so this is a big help.

Give them a 10 plus rating!!!These are some HARD working guys! Very professional, they went ABOVE & beyond for us! We are over the moon pleased they took care of everything! Starting with estimate they were on time, listened to what we wanted & our concerns. They took the time to explained the process , answer all our questions! I can not say enough about these guys & company!! If you want someone who is honest, dependable, hard working & Get the job done ! With no surprises! Call them you will be glad you did!!! They were working very very close to our home taking down HUGE trees we are very pleased!!!! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard , taking of our tree removal!!!!
