Crone Construction replaced my twenty year old rotting porch. Matt explained how they would perform the work, the materials they would use, and the time it would take to complete the job. I am pleased to say that the final result exceeded my expectations. The crew showed up for work each day and took the time to answer any questions I had along the way. I was impressed by their attention to detail, their precision in workmanship, and the extra effort made to 'get things right'. I came away believing that this is 'Standard Practice' for this company. I will do business with Crone Construction again based upon this positive experience.

I had all the windows in my home (25 total) replaced last year. They were very honest and transparent. The crew was professional, prompt, finished on time and did great work. They cleaned up everything and there were no surprises. I could not be happier with their work. My house is much quieter now, and my electric bills have dropped $150 - 200 per month in peak summer and winter months. These are great people and I would use them again without hesitation.

Our gutters were very old and starting to pull away from the house and leak when I contacted Crone Construction to see about replacing them. Matt Crone came out to give me a quote. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He told me that they only use 6" gutters and went on to explain the size difference and how it would be beneficial for our house. He also brought a sample of the gutter covers that they use so that I would have a better idea of how it would work and how much easier it would be to maintain the gutters than the chicken wire type gutter guards that we had been using.

Mr. Crone knew that he was the first person I contacted for an estimate, and he suggested that I get another quote because he wanted to make sure I was comfortable with his estimate and with the quality of materials he used. I took his advice and after getting another estimate (which was higher than the one I got from Crone Construction), I decided to go with Crone Construction, and I am so glad I did!

They were very fast and efficient when putting up the gutters. They cleaned up all the garbage after they were done (I've had some work done by other contractors who did not clean up after themselves). The gutters look amazing on our house. They were put up at the beginning of the year, and I can really tell a difference, especially with all the rain we've been having. I am so pleased with the quality of work that they did that I have verbally recommended them to anyone that will listen. But the best part of the experience was that Mr. Crone did not try to talk over my head. He obviously knew what he was talking about, but didn't try to bog me down technical terms. He explained things in a way that was easily understandable and having the samples to show helped too.

And for anyone with pets, they were very mindful of our dog and did not leave the gate open when they finished working.

Crone Construction reconstructed the space for Muggin Coffeehouse to exist. In what once was an old nail shop has not been transformed into a vibrant, bright space where the city of Memphis can enjoy a nice cup of coffee. We thankful for them believing in the vision of Muggin and making it a reality.

Had my windows replaced by Crone Construction. These folks are the best in the business...professionalism, value, quality, and workmanship are all worth attributes. Simply put, from sales to installation, they're pros! I could not be more pleased.

Crone Construction replaced all of my windows with lifetime warranted vinyl replacement window. He personally supervised the entire job and explained why his method of replacement was superior to other bidders. His price was the best without all the hype and bait and switch tactics that I received from other salesmen. I can see by my monthly bills that the lower bills that I am now receiving will eventually pay for my windows. I will use Crone Construction for any other work that I have in the future.

We used Crone Construction for window replacement, a bathroom renovation, and other miscellaneous items. The employees always arrived on time and were polite. We had the outside of our home painted and the painters did a good job. We had the windows replaced and that went well, although they didn't show up the day they were supposed to install the windows because they forgot to write down the appointment. Jeff, the window guy was very apologetic at his mistake and was great to work with on install day. Our biggest problems with the company was our main representative and the employees they hired to replace wood outside our home and to do a lot of the work in the bathroom. The work was not done well and we had to ask that things be re-done or remind them of work still needing to be done again and again. They even installed the completely wrong tile in our bathroom at one point and it had to be torn out and replaced. When we would try to discuss our complaints with our representative he was dismissive and would have forgotten entire conversations we previously had. He would tell us that we had never discussed it - despite having had the conversations via text. At one point when we had numerous complaints about the quality of the work being done he completely lost his temper and told us that we were 1 of 30 jobs he was responsible for - including million dollar projects. He said that we didn't know what we were talking about and that most of our complaints were stupid. He said he "didn't need this and could cancel our contract at any time". After that conversation we contacted the owner, Lee Crone, who worked really hard to try and correct all of the mistakes that had been made. If we had never been assigned the representative we worked with, maybe our impression of the company would be different because everyone else at the company seemed great. Everyone else apologized when things went wrong and made sure the mistakes were corrected. To date, that representative has still not apologized for how he spoke to us.

It started with the phone call to Crone Construction, they were very professional to talk with. I'm a pilot by profession and punctuality is very important to me; from their first visit to the completion of the project they were always on time. We changed 23 windows in our house, I like the fact that they were not pushy when it came to sales and they gave me all the options that were available to me. I've had couple other big companies came and dealing with Jim and Justin was breath of fresh air. We are hundred percent satisfied with their services and I'd use them again for other projects.

Crone Construction…Jeff, Justin and crew did an excellent job replacing 13 windows in my home. They delivered as promised, addressed all my concerns and cleaned up both inside and out. My new windows are great. Highly recommend Crone Construction to anyone looking for new windows.

After reading positive reviews about Crone Construction from fellow Midtowners, we reached out to them for a quote on a wooden privacy fence. From the (very reasonable!) quote to project completion, the Crone team was incredibly responsive and up-front with us. (Hello, we all know that's hard to find in a contractor!) The crew was always on-time and worked hard to remove the raggedy chain link fence, remove two small trees, and put up 300+' of fencing plus a gate. They did a wonderful job, and we are already planning to have them back out to do more work for us. Could not possibly recommend them more- we've found a contractor for life.

We have used Crone Construction for various projects in our last 2 homes. In both we had the builder grade windows replaced with windows from Crone and it cut our heating and cooling bill from about $350 a month for a 1600sq ft house, to $150-$200 a month (and that with vaulted ceilings too)! Even when the power went out the house stayed cool/warm (depending on if the AC or heat was running) for several hours. We were so impressed with the money we saved by replacing the windows over the 8+ years we lived in our first home, that we made it a priority to replace the windows using Crone again in our new home as soon as we moved in. We also had Crone replace old wood siding with insulated vinyl siding for even more energy and cost saving measures.
We could not be more pleased with the service, quality of work, and price! In all, we have used Crone Construction for new windows, insulation, siding, gutters, roofing, new doors, and a new HVAC system to help better cool our upstairs. And these projects are just to date. We have many more projects down the road that we will be calling Crone for. I have never had more confidence in a construction company that things will be done right! A major piece of mind.

We had the guys at Crone Construction replace 6 windows on our circa 1978 two story home. We started with a small number of windows on the back of the house as we wanted to update the look of the windows from the original single pane,single hung windows with grids (very common in our area), to double pane, double hung replacement windows to update the look of our home.
Jimmy and Justin, and all the other guys from Crone Construction were very professional, prompt, and eager to please. We were very happy with out dealings with Crone Construction prior to and the day of installation and are very happy with the look, and energy efficiency of the new windows. We are definitely going to use them again to replace the remaining, original windows.

Crone Construction replaced 17 windows and a half round in our house. They were wonderful to work with. They showed up on time, thoroughly explained our window options and gave us up front pricing. The installation crew started work on time, cleaned up when they were finished and fixed any of the little things I wanted touched up (I'm a really picky homeowner). We had one window scratched during installation and they replaced it no questions asked. I would definitely hire them again.

These guys give fair and honest quotes. Just amazing customer service, but their craftsmanship and passion for doing the job right is simply mind-blowing. I called needing help quickly. Not only did Crone Construction respond within minutes, but they also met us at the house that same day. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about everything we needed. Kitchen work, ceiling work, demo, and reconstruction. They even helped us with some design ideas that we were stumped on.
I would recommend these guys 1000 times.

When we had a large tree fall onto our house and porch, we were nervous to pick a contractor to help with the work as we have had poor experiences with Memphis contractors in the past. Our experience with Crone Construction couldn't have been more different!

The day of the storm Jeff Crone stopped by and offered his card and their assistance with the rebuild. He was very friendly and helpful. We decided to go with them based on their online reviews and talking to Jeff and Lee Crone in person.

From the beginning their communication was consistent and frequent. We worked with Lee Crone and foreman Glen. Despite hangups on our end from insurance they proceeded with work. They worked very quickly and efficiently to get our home back to its original condition, if not better. Their craftsmanship exceeded our previous experiences as well, and the workers were always kind, accommodating, and courteous. They also were respectful and did a great job cleaning up after the work was done.

In short, we were very happy we went with Crone this time around, and would happily recommend their services to anyone in the Memphis area needing work done.

Crone Construction was attentive from start to finish, a great team. I explained my vision to Sammy and Lee, and they provided good suggestions which took the finished product to the next level. It would not have looked as good without their input from the experience these guys have. My project was converting a screened porch which joined the main home with in-law suite, by adding energy efficient windows and door. In addition, I had a window removed which was exterior before the enclosure, and added a new exterior window on a different wall.

Anytime a time and date was set for someone to show up to perform any work, the crew showed up without fail on time. To me this is as important as the workmanship. It made for easy planning with my job and other events.

There was an issue with the door and one window, both issues handled and resolved. Very pleased with their response to the problems I found and their resolution process. I will definitely call on Crone Construction for future projects.

We had Crone Construction do a lot of improvements in 2019 to our historic Cooper Young home (built in 1910). All new replacement windows, 23 total. We LOVE our new windows. Less noise, easy to clean & maintain, we can open windows for fresh air, and our energy bills have decreased by about 20%.

Crone also did beautiful new exterior paint for our entire home in a custom 3 color scheme. Along with custom exterior paint, we had custom functional louvered shutters made with wrought iron hardware. They look so beautiful as a perfect accent on the front of our home.

Crone replaced the whole front porch, all new floorboards, bead board ceiling, new ceiling fan added, and new dimmable canned lights. The porch is brand new and a perfect place to hang out now. Crone also had a crew build a huge new deck across the back of our home with landings and steps from our two back doors down to the big deck area. Nicely stained to last for years as a lovely outdoor entertainment area.

We look forward to partnering with Crone Construction in 2020 for a new roof, landscaping, and maybe even a newly remodeled kitchen. They have been great to work with, good pricing, they treat their employees well, have friendly staff, and a showroom right in Cooper Young.

We highly recommend this local family run Memphis construction business. It is hard to find good reliable contractors in this town and we are glad we found Crone Construction.

As my wife said Great work, by nice people! They did a great job on a patio extension for us. Their price was fair and even installed a path to my wife's garden shed, which she loved because she has to use a walker and it made it much easier for her to get to the shed. Their crew was very nice and professional. Jeff Crone one of the owners, came out and inspected the job and asked if there was anything we needed. We worked with Lee Crone on setting up the job and he was great to work with and provided timely estimate and follow up. They were there when they said they would be and finished when they said they would be. Jeff and Lee Crone are great people and really care about their customers. They will be the only construction company we will ever use. We highly recommend them.

My home needed major repairs so I chose Crone based on the on-line reviews and recommendations.
I needed siding removed and replaced with repairs to some of those areas. I also wanted the house painted and new gutters installed.

Right from the start, everything was handled in a friendly and professional manner. The work estimate was detailed and accurate. The workers were courteous and friendly. Their workmanship was excellent.

Finding good, quality people that you trust to do solid work is no easy task. The folks at Crone are great to work with. They're responsive. Their pricing is fair, and they do awesome work. A tree fell on my mom's house last summer and did major damage. They completely restored and made great improvements to her new home. I would highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Crone! They replaced all the windows in our midtown home and two patio doors (including one on the second floor!). The product is great and we’ve already seen a reduction in our energy usage since having the more efficient windows installed! Their customer service is as excellent as all the reviews claim! Jeff and Sammy were always checking in on us and were always easy to get in touch with! One of the old doors they took out had termite and water damage which they replaced. We were also very pleased with Luke who came in to finish off the trim around our new doors! The doors look professional and very custom now! We appreciate how hard Crone worked to make sure we were pleased with the finished product! They are very knowledgeable and very fairly priced! We will use Crone again for sure in the future if we ever have a need!
