CARELESS is the best word to describe my recent experience with TruGreen of Nashville. I have been a customer for 12 plus years and was generally satisfied with my service. In the fall of 2020, TG put down fertilizer and had 4 different spots in my front yard where it was dumped thus killing that grass and having bare spots in my fall fescue yard.

Fast forward to June 12th, 2021 more fertilizer(or whatever they were spreading) was put down. I noticed the technician in the back yard turning his spreader over multiple time and trying to adjust it. Well clearly the spreader was dropping loads of the fertilizer down right where he was walking throughout the yard. In the pictures you can see the path he took through my front yard (snake pattern). The frustrating part is I have called and complained - my money has been refunded for both incidences - but I have yet to hear from a manager or have visit to my home to determine how TruGreen plans to rectify this issue.

Don’t waste your money on TruGreen weed control service. One year and over $600 later, weeds have slowly taken over my yard during TruGreens weed service. They proudly put their yard sign in the yard in the pictures below. The bare spot is where I keep having to pull weeds after paying for a professional weed service. For $50 per month, and frequent $150 “ yard aeration”, if the treatments aren’t working then they should figure something out or start pulling weeds. I would give them one star, but the customer support representative was polite.

I have had true green for two years and spent the last year trying to cancel only to have their people keep showing up and the automatic going to keep going. Whatever they’re doing does not work. I have crab grass and weeds and bald spots. I have not skimped, I water my lawn. We mow it ourselves so as not to get seeds from other peoples yard, etc.
this does not live up to the advertisements and they are very reluctant to refund. They have sent out additional services on multiple occasions when I have tried to cancel it and tried to get a refund, but to no avail.

I had signed up back in April 2021. We just bought a house and has TONS of weeds. Everything was going fine till they didn't want to due our backyard. I pay for the whole property and they only to the front yard. Our house does sit on a hill but they NEVER DO IT. LAZY!!!!! about 2 weeks ago I notice a charge... they charge me $195 for double treatment but NEVER double treated. I had called they said they will refund my money of $195 but instead the next day they had charge $97 again!!!! then the next day they charge me again for $97. I am going on the 3rd week without NO MONEY BACK. My credit card is high and can not pay my bills because of this issue. OVERALL do NOT use truGreen. They are a SCAM and I will be going to the BBB. Please do not use them the worse experience and waste of my money!

I have used TruGreen in various locations and had mixed experiences. Being new to Nashville, I thought a national chain, how bad could it be? It's bad. My lawn is stressed from the heat. I reached out and pointed out that someone is always coming out spraying something but never offers any insights into adjustments like adjust mower, more water, dethatch, etc. This is what I was accustomed to receiving in Ohio. So, we scheduled a visit, they never showed up but reported that they had. Fortunately I have Google home cameras around the exterior of my house and could prove no one showed up. To sum it up, my yard is a mess, TruGreen stood me up and then someone lied about it. Stay away, far away. Great salesmen, terrible on service delivery.

We have been having Trugreen service our lawn. Back on June 14th I noticed a few brown patches on our lawn that appeared to be a fungus. I immediately called Trugreen and was told that the soonest they can get a specialist out would be June 22nd. We took that appt. No one showed. I called again on June 23rd and was told
Someone would be out on Monday the 27th. No one showed. I called again. I have called a total of 5 times and have got the run around every single time. In the meantime my lawn has been taken completely over by this fungus and our beautiful sod is ruined. Here is the humorous part. You would think the service technician who came out to spray for weeds last week would clearly notice that the lawn is dead and there are brown patches everywhere but in his notes all that was written about our dead , diseased lawn was that he noticed a few common weeds and treated them. Then they put their sign out in the yard advertising their services. I don't think many neighbors are going to be calling that number to have their lawn look like this (see photos)

TruGreen employee was servicing a neighbor's lawn before 7:00AM during the week with music blaring from service truck while dorrs were open and the truck was parked in the culdesac. When I addressed the loud music with the employee, stating that I had small children sleeping at that hour, I thought the encounter was over. However, after leaving the house a short time later to go to work, my wife witnessed the employee dumping large quantities of a white granular substance on the strip of grass in front of our house between the sidewalk and the curb, which killed the grass. The management was unresponsive and actually threatened me becasue I reached in the unoccupied truck to turn down the volume on the radio. I would look elsewhere for lawn care...I did.

Have not been at all pleased with my service over the past year. Received aeration and overseed today which will determine if I change providers. Today was the best service since signing a contract and that was 100% due to the service guy (Ommandi). He did a 5 star job.

Think two times before you hire this company. 2 times, not just one i have had terrible issues with them. From lying over and over to not providing the service they promise.
If you decide to get their service, make sure you are there to watch what they do, they can not be trusted. You will not get what you expect but sure you will get charge for it.
Likely you will be disappointed as I have several times.

Don't trust this company at all. I paid money every month for a year to have them take care of my lawn, but unfortunately, after a few months, they burned all my lawn. I called every day, no one answered, and each person passed it on to someone else. In the end, they kept me on hold until I had to hang up. I want to post a photo, but this option doesn't give me any. Can anyone guide me so that I can post all the photos?

Since one star is as low as I can go. I would never ever recommend trugreen! They were suppose to work on our yard last season. Showed up 3 times that work was actually done. And when they did show up no work was done. Pulled up stuck a sign in the yard and on the door and left. What work was done destroyed our yard! Spring is here and my yard is horrible!!! Most of the grass is dead! Weeds everywhere! Don't waste your money!

This service is worthless. I’ve had them for a year and never seen any improvement in the weeds or pests. In fact my lawn has gotten worse. The only thing they are diligent about is calling you frequently to “up sell” you. To add insult to injury I’ve had to pay for another service to apply the correct lawn care chemicals and pest killers. During the last year I’ve had to re sod twice. I would not recommend these guys at all. Worthless. Useless. Waste of money.

We wanted to find a company to fertilize and weed our half-acre yard in Franklin so I started reaching out to various companies. TruGreen does a lot of marketing so I ended up on their website first. After inputting all of my information, I received a call from a TruGreen rep. He gave me a price and explained their services. I thanked him for his time and was going to call other services to get prices. He got annoyed that I did not want to sign up immediately. He became very pushy trying to make a hard close. He finally said “Whatever man” and hung up on me.

I got quotes from TruGreen $257, WeedMan $154, Lawn Wise $160, another local company I can’t remember the name of for $100, and Lawn Pride $140. I went with Lawn Pride because the price was reasonable, the person I spoke with was courteous and knowledgeable, and I felt like I was going to get a better service with them.

Since that day, 5 TrueGreen representatives have called me offering to match or beat any other price, telling me to break my contract with Lawn Pride, and trying to make a hard sell.

I have a roofing company and I want to go business with companies that operate the same way I do. Charge a fair price and provide a great service. Not large sales/marketing organizations that throw a high price out there and then garras people into a hard sale.

10/10 do not recommend.

TruGreen has provided excellent service. Results are impressive. I will let the Pros take care of my lawn. I left DIY with Sunday to go to TruGreen!

My concern is with the effectiveness of TRUGREEN’s treatments. I’ve been a customer for over five years, and each time a spray is applied, the results are minimal. The weeds turn slightly brown, but they never fully die off. It feels like either:
1. Not enough product is being applied, or
2. The treatments aren’t frequent enough to be effective.
Over the past few years, I’ve called after treatments to report poor results and have received inconsistent responses, such as:
• “You’re one day outside the reporting window—please wait until next month.”
• “Some of those weeds are just really hard to kill.”
• “You called too early—try again in a few days.”
• And most recently: “Your region isn’t getting enough precipitation, and with colder weather coming, the weeds will die off naturally.

The core issue I have with TRUGREEN is that they consistently create obstacles that make it difficult to address the very problem they’re hired to treat—weed control. I’m familiar with which neighbors use TRUGREEN and which do not, and the difference in lawn quality is obvious. Most businesses get paid when they provide the service they were hired to do. Not the case here in my opinion.

If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I recently purchased sod for the new back yard and scheduled TG to come out and spray from grub defense, to limit the moles. They showed up the next day and didn’t spray for grubs(what moles eat) and then proceeded to say they would come out the next scheduled visit to spray for grubs. 2 months later and my yard grass is basically ruined.

Would not recommend TruGreen in Nashville to anyone. They are in and out of your yard in 2 minutes, not spraying areas or hardly spraying at all, worst part is they make up their up agendas and bill you for it.

My buddy up the road uses a different service and has had great results. Will update results after switching providers

Built and seeded this lawn over 30 yrs ago. Its NEVER looked this bad , take a look at the pictures. $2k+ for you to destroy my lawn. Why someone at TruGreen continued to treat it , not alerting corporate is mindboggling. Complained, had two different people come out take pictures with ZERO followup. You call customer service, it ques you to a customer service call center who takes a message. You cant get anyone on the phone, no one is accountable. Obviously your fertilizer brought a handful of problems, had insects or drew insects and a mutiny of other problems with it. To each side of me, my neighbors grass is immaculate, how mine used to look. The man that came said, no, its not TruGreen , its your problem, they "TruGreen" didnt do it. Great, no responsibility taken, Im $2k out and another $8k as estimated as Ill ahve to pull up all the grass and reseed. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN THEY WILL TAKE YOU AND YOUR LAWN!

I really wish I could give negative stars! I wasted thousands of dollars over the last 15+ months to have a lawn that doesn't look any better than it did before they came out to my house. They are a total scam. The manager wants to insult my intelligence by trying to convince me that my lawn has improved. The 2 pictures with a steering wheel in them are from a year ago and now. The green picture was a year ago.

We signed up for one service to try them out. They did a good job and I told them we would not need any more services until the spring. 2 weeks later I get a text saying I have a service schedule in 2 days. I did not ask for this service and signed no contracts. I cancelled my account immediately and will never use them. My neighbor still uses them and they were out here yesterday. After his service, I had weed and feed, muddy tire tracks, and muddy footprints on my paver walkway going into to my backyard. I don't even use them anymore and I can't get away from there terrible service.

I have given it a couple weeks now, between watering and fair amounts of rain. I am very unhappy with the way my lawn looks. It looks like a zebra.
I feel like I spent a lot of money for little results from what I had before hiring you.
