Constraction reviews in Allen, Texas

Back in August 2022, the Dallas area received 13 inches of rain in a very short period of time.
I was leaving my home when I heard a noise coming from an upstairs bedroom. Upon inspection I stood and watch the ceiling cave in and eating coming into this room.
Immediately I called 2 different roofing companies to insect the damage.
To my surprise neither one would help me, because my insurance Co was Allstate.
I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do.being fully insured and no help.
One day there was a knock on the door it was Ben Standley from Absolute Construction. He asked to inspect my roof. I gladly said, yes.
He then called his boss Bob Baldwin, who went up on the roof and inspected the inside of my home. He said he would help me.
It took 20 months, but with his inside and determination we won!
Believe me, the joy I felt when new planks, roof gutters went up on my home and the inside was fully repaired as well.this being finished with the help of Brandon Tanner.
These three men were God’s warriors, that were sent to do this job. I’m extremely grateful for their kindness , professionalism and determination to follow through and complete the entire job. Thank you for everything!
Sincerely,
Bruce Harms

Shane was incredible!! He helped me with my insurance claims process. He explained every bit from start to finish. I highly recommend Absolute Merit Roofing. There are a lot of roofers in Dallas. But this one is the way to go.

Shane is very professional. He is knowledgeable and pointed out some things that made since. He was prompt and respectful of my time. His guys are courteous and good at what they do. All the work was completed ahead of schedule. I will recommend his services to friends and family and will use him again if needed.

It is my deep pleasure to have the Absolute Merit Roofing as my contractor to fix my roof damage from hail.
To start off, my claim got a very interesting approval from my insurer Allstate. It only approved the placement of half my roof, based on the pictures taken by Allstate contracted adjuster. Shane, the owner of Absolute Merit Roofing, and his team, did a thorough inspection of my roof. Since the picture qualities are very high, and they showed clearly that they are damages on the other half of the roof, Allstate proved the whole roof replacement based on their photos without sending second round of inspection. I am deeply grateful for their quality work.
Shane and his Absolute Merit Roofing not only completed their work, well, but also did that in a fashion to satisfy my specific needs. Shane helped me and my wife to choose the roof color that is compatible to my brick color. He also replaced the downspouts on the east side that are not included in Allstate estimate without extra charge. He further advised me to fix the damages on the chimney side instead of the cosmetic dents on the chimney cap.
As to the fix of the nail pops out of the roof insulation, Shane insisted to inspect the painters work on both floors to make sure it’s up to his professional evaluation even after we said we were happy with nail pop fixes already.
I also learned from Shane that homeowner plays an important role in the whole claim process. My involvement in the communication with Allstate, together with Shane, certainly helped to speed up the claim processing process.
Thanks Absolute Merit Roofing. I recommend it without any reservation.

Shane at Absolute Merit Roofing was a pleasure to work with. He was there every step of the way. From dealing with the insurance company to make sure we were treated fairly to ensuring the work was completed to a standard of excellence. I would recommend anyone who needs a roof or any other form of work done on their home to call Shane at absolute Merit. He’s a contractor you can trust and count on to get the job done right.

My elderly uncle had a leak in the roof and Shane helped explain the insurance process to him. He was very patient with all of my uncle’s questions, and when it came time to replace the roof, communication was excellent. His crew was professional and thorough and did a great job. The new roof looks great, and we’d highly recommend Absolute Merit Roofing.

Its not good enough to just have somebody work on your roof that knows roofing. You need someone that also understands dealing with insurance company's. Shane is a good guy that you want taking care of you. I'm so glad I chose Shane to replace my hail damaged office roof. It was a real pleasure to work with him and always felt like I had someone looking out for me.

Great team at absolute merit roofing. They did a fantastic job and had great communication and got everything done in a timely manner. Definitely recommend

I recently had the pleasure of working with Absolute Merit Roofing for a roof repair, and I am thoroughly impressed with their service. Shane, the representative, made the entire Experience outstanding from start to finish.
Shane arrived right on time for our initial consultation. He conducted a thorough and comprehensive inspection of my roof, pointing out areas of concern and explaining the necessary repairs in a way that was easy to understand. Shane's expertise and professionalism were evident, and his friendly demeanor made me feel confident in choosing Absolute Merit Roofing.
The repair team was prompt, efficient, and highly skilled. The team worked diligently and paid close attention to detail. After completing the repairs, they cleaned up all debris, leaving my property spotless.
Shane maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process. Whether through phone calls, texts, or in-person discussions, Shane was always accessible and responsive.
The quality of the repair work is exceptional. I have not experienced any issues since the roof replacement was completed. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are evident in the final result.
I highly recommend Absolute Merit Roofing to anyone in need of roofing services. Shane's professionalism and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. Absolute Merit Roofing will be my first choice if I ever need roofing work again.
Thank you, Shane, and the entire team at Absolute Merit Roofing for your outstanding job! Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated.

I am very pleased that I contracted Shane to install my roof. He explained the work process very thoroughly and communicated with the Insurance adjuster as needed. His crew arrived as scheduled & started working immediately. I was amazed that by 3pm the job was completed & I’m absolutely happy with the job they did. The crew gathered their tools & left my lawn/house spotless. I highly recommend Absolute Merit Roofing.

I found Shane (Absolute Merit Roofing) on Google following a storm that left a large hole in my roof. Out of the 3-4 roofing contractors I contacted the next day, he was the first to arrive. He patched my roof, there and then, at no charge. He inspected my roof, took photo's and was there when the insurance assessor came and made sure that the assessor noted everything that needed addressing. He only asked me to sign a contract after the insurance had approved the claim (unlike some of the others who wanted to lock in your business with promises that you will not have to pay your deductible, and want you to sign something the moment they showed up). Shane also negotiated with the insurance on my behalf. Thanks to him, I got a new roof with impact resistant tiles (which will save me 15% on my home owners insurance), new gutters, interior water damage repaired and my fence re-stained. He has someone on his crew who can do anything you need - he is more like a general contractor than simply a roofer. His crew were timely, professional and the quality of their work is outstanding. I am extremely pleased with Absolute Merit; they are honest, helpful and have been a great partner to work with. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Shane earns your business and works to keep it. I'm now working with Shane to address some other 'projects' that I have been putting off for far too long.

I cannot recommend Shane and his team at Absolute Merit Roofing strongly enough. A fantastic experience from beginning to end with Shane willing to perform a roof inspection while I was out of the country and even temporarily patching up part of the roof with tarp even though I had not agreed to a contract yet. Shane is honest, reliable, has a strong work ethic and is very knowledgeable about the insurance process. He was present during the Insurance inspection which resulted in not only a new roof due to hail damage, but also new gutters, a re-stained fence and new window screens. Shane is a general contractor, so I was able to do all this through Absolute Merit without having the headache of dealing with multiple contractors. His team turn up on time and complete work to a high quality and perform an excellent clean up at the end of the day. You will not be disappointed if you decided to go with this company!

They replaced the roof, gutters, facia, and got my trees trimmed after a limb fell on our house earlier in the year. 5 months later everything seems solid, no leaks or anything wrong. They knew what to expect with the insurance and knew how to handle everything from the front to the back. The whole process went pretty fast and now its like it never happened. The experience honesty and professionalism they bring to the table is what really makes the difference. My first claim and it was real easy.

Insurance covered cost of all work plus my deductible. They went above and beyond and even fixed my patio as part of their service. I would strongly recommended them for roof installation and gutter installation. Very friendly and easy to work with. Would use them again for any work I need to have done.

Roofers were very efficient and did a great job. They were conscientious of our plants and yard. Shane & Kale, owners, were always present and willing to take care of any concerns. They also handled all the details with our insurance company. Left us not having to deal with any problems which was awesome.

Shane and his crew at Absolute Merit Roofing did an excellent job on our roof replacement. They were punctual, professional, and left everything spotless when finished. Shane explained the whole process clearly with no pushy sales tactics, and the final result looks great.

These guys are the absolute best to work with!! They get the job done and they make sure you are happy. The customer service is by far the best!!! I will recommend them over and over and I will be their customer for life!! They are trustworthy and just make things easy. Communication is awesome, they respond very quickly. I literally cannot say enough good things about them. They are simply the best on all levels. ❤️ the entire process was explained very clearly and they dealt with the insurance company for the most part. Kelby and Shane were amazing to work with.

Absolute Merit Roofing handled our house restoration from a recent hailstorm in March 2025. We required a full roof replacement, new gutters and much replacement of exterior trim pieces shredded by the large hail.
Through the leadership of Shane, Scotty and Rose, our project was started and completed in a very short time span (about 2 weeks in early April). It has been amazing watching their talented teams repair damaged parts of our house.
If you need a professional, talented team of craftsmen to help with a similar project, I would highly recommend Absolute Merit Roofing.
