Lovely plant store. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Have that spring itch, even though it is 37 degrees today... so wandered around in a big coat and boots looking at the wide array of plants. There are definitely plants here that you won't find at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Large selection of a variety of plants, plus anything else you might need for your garden!
Dog friendly and a few places to sit and rest. -
I visited during the early morning hours. It was absolutely beautiful walking through all the different plants and gorgeous butterflies flying around.

This is a beautiful place to visit and just roam around in. The people who work here are friendly and ready to answer all your questions. There is so much to see you might have to make more than one trip. Happy gardening and sightseeing.

If you get the chance to talk to John bring a notepad and capture everything you can. That man is a wizard of flora and I leave more educated each time. You should visit this place at least twice a month in the spring and summer to catch all the different restocks of every plant you want in your house yard or garden.

This is a special place. Healthy happy plants, all the supplies you could need, and a friendly knowledgeable staff to assist. Beyond that you can also meet some animals, wander the labyrinth, and see demos of mature plants organized by function (herbs, ornamentals, butterfly, food). This plus great pricing.

Good gardening shop located behind the Travis cook rd in South Austin. They have large variety of plants, shrubs and Flowers though few of them are stocked out now. They also sell fertilizers, soil, microbes, plant nutrients, pots in variety of shapes, designs and sizes at nominal price. There's an offer on Wednesdays while purchasing as well. #HappyGardening

This place was way bigger than I expected, great prices, and so much selection. You can find anything you need here for gardening. We got several herbs and some pots and we walked around enjoying the place and looking at plants. They have a huge selection of herbs, vegetables, and seeds. Lots of succulents and larger cacti. Lots of flowers. Bushes, trees, ground cover, roses. They've got everything and in lots of supply. They also have a large supply of pots of all materials and sizes. They have a bunch of simple plastic ones, which are cheap and great for quick planting, lots of terracotta clay pots of various sizes, lots of other beautiful painted and kiln fired ceramic pots, and various shapes too. Inside they have seeds, garden decor, baby succulents and air plants for your home. They even have several types of soil and mulch - potting soil, compost soil, mulch, etc. The service is excellent too. People are very friendly and helpful and when we got to the counter to purchase our plants and pots, we had forgotten to grab any potting soil, but not to worry - they got a bag for us that was exactly what we need and they have larger bags out in the parking lot to select for loading in your car.
We got there nearing closing, so we didn't have time to walk around the back of the property and explore the gardens, but I could see it goes back a ways and they have done a lot of their own landscaping and gardening. Next time we will plan more time to go explore the gardens too. Great place to come and bring your family to both buy plants and enjoy the gardens. -
Great selection helpful staff. You would have to visit more than one nursery to get most of the plants that do well in Texas, as it is difficult to have so many examples of flora and fauna in one place. This nursery is large and will meet the needs of those seeking all but the rarest of specimens. The value is in the knowledgeable staff, who can assist in a variety of areas; to include a help desk to diagnose issues with your garden. There is enough here to keep the fascination of children occupied, and places to sit and relax for the less ambitious.

This place has everything: mini nature trails on a wildlife reserve, bench swings, cats and a giant velociraptor.
Oh, and a massive collection of herbs, air plants wildflowers, landscaping plants, tropical/houseplants, gardening tools, soil, bird feed, wind chimes, pottery and a gorgeous butterfly garden.
It's a perfect balance of leisure and efficiency on your personal plant hunt.
(Also, you can earn points with every purchase towards getting even MORE plants. 😍) -
I I absolutely love The Natural Gardener and would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of help with their gardening projects. I’ve purchased several of their native perennials and trees, and they’ve all thrived in my yard, bringing me immense joy every day. The staff at TNG is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to assist. They genuinely care about their customers and host free classes on how to create a more sustainable and beautiful garden. Their commitment to sustainability and community is truly commendable.

Beautiful nursery with helpful staff, excellent presentation of the gardens, huge plant selection with reasonable pricing, and weekly free classes from highly experienced folks. Recommend setting an hour aside to really peruse the whole nursery's offerings.

I absolutely fell in love with this place. They have almost everything you need in gardening supplies (no wheel barrows). I bought so much while here 🤦♀️

What a beautiful place!🤠. The entire property is a working botanical garden using native plants, local art and walking paths that enhance your shopping experience. The staff is very friendly, my dog met all of them I think. Had a great time. Show up early and enjoy the place! Be sure and check out my pics

We live in Leander but find every excuse we can to make the trek to this nursery. Make sure to plan enough time to tour the whole area because there’s so much more to see than just the plants they have for sale. They have a great selection of natives and the one of the best selections of 4 inch plants in the greater Austin area. If you are someone that likes collecting all the different kinds of herbs this place is absolutely dangerous. Natural Gardener- please keep providing your lovely assortment of herbs, we love it!

Wonderful place! 1st time to visit. My husband and I picked up some Russian Sage. Good prices. They have a pretty large selection of almost everything that you could want. They have some beautiful plants, shrubs, trees, etc. And they also have really pretty pottery, wind chimes, knic knacks, outdoor and indoor decorations. Beautiful landscaping also. Your dogs are welcome too. We loved the entire experience!

November 2023:
The Natural Gardener is my favorite plant nursery. The people working here are plant experts and definitely know their stuff. In the past they have provided me important gardening tips and recommended specific plants that would work best for my yard. They have a wide range of plants, bushes, roses, and trees best suited for the Austin climate.
I was here to get a bag of perennial ryegrass but did walk around.
They had poinsettias and rosemary shaped like miniature Christmas trees for the holiday season. They also sell a huge variety of bags of compost, dirt, and other ingredients for your landscaping.
There was also walking trails on their property showcasing how to design your property with a vegetable garden, native plants, fruit trees and a vineyard. There was also animals too where I saw chickens, Biscuit the goat, and dinosaurs (sculptures). They used to have a donkey but not sure where he went.
It the best place to find native plants and gardening supplies. -
A huge and wonderful garden store that more resembles a desert oasis than a retail store. The inside areas were immaculate and extremely organized, huge selection of tools, seeds, and other garden items. The outdoor space features several buildings and small gardens. I highly recommend a slow walk through the butterfly garden, absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. Prices were on par with expectations for plants and garden items. We didn't interact with the staff, other than friendly "hello" wishes from several staff. Highly recommended, enjoy.
