I hesitated to write this review of Crafted Outdoor, but after spending significant time, effort, and money repairing their substandard work, I feel compelled to share our experience.
In the summer of 2022, we hired Crafted Outdoor, led by Jeremy, for a backyard remodel. The initial consultation was promising: we provided detailed needs, wants, and scaled sketches, and received a $50,000 quote with a promised four-week timeline. Unfortunately, the project, expected to finish by early September, dragged into October—over three months—due to poor communication, low-quality work, and unprofessional conduct.
Irrigation Issues: The irrigation system was a complete failure. Within a year, every component required replacement due to leaks, improperly installed sprayers, and low-quality materials. For example, we found temporary patches instead of proper repairs, and the team poured a concrete slab over the main irrigation line, complicating further work. Despite repeated requests, Crafted Outdoor never provided proof of an irrigation license.

Landscaping Problems: The landscaping work was equally disappointing. The weed barrier cloth, improperly laid and secured, had gaps and overlaps, requiring full replacement within six months. The steel edging was uneven, too narrow for the application, and left visible gaps.

Fire Pit Failure: The fire pit, an $800 line item, was so poorly constructed that it was removed from our invoice. Despite our request for a fire brick base, Jeremy repeatedly claimed it was "not possible" without explanation. The poured concrete was uneven, cracked within weeks, and the high-temperature tile lining was shoddily installed.

Outdoor Kitchen Disappointment: We were shown photos of polished concrete countertops from Jeremy’s previous projects, but our outdoor kitchen featured a crumbling cinderblock and stucco grill station with visible cracks and gaps. The gas grill, improperly installed, is unusable.

Subcontractor and Jobsite Issues: The project relied heavily on two workers, with Jeremy rarely on-site. When their electrician failed to show up for the steel pergola installation, we had to source one ourselves. Additionally, workers left food waste scattered across our yard, and my wife and I were forced to manage the project due to Jeremy’s absence. His excuse—that our home was "too far out of his way"—was unprofessional and did not justify the delays or poor craftsmanship.

Bright Spot: The steel pergola with lighting was the only satisfactory part of the project.

In total, we spent an additional $15,000 to fix Crafted Outdoor’s work. I strongly caution others against hiring this company due to their unreliable timelines, substandard quality, and lack of accountability.

The group did a phenomenal job with our backyard project. Installers were professional and pleasant to work with.

Jeremy and his crew did an oustanding job with our place. Easy to work with and very reliable! Will use again!

Jeremy and team did a 11/10 job. Highly recommend giving them a call for a quick estimate at the very least.

We had a great experience with Jeremy and the Crafted team. We needed to find a way to add some shade and outdoor living to the backyard and ended up with 2 amazing steel & cedar pergolas, outdoor kitchen, and limestone patio. All the work was great and we enjoying the new backyard. Highly recommend.

We had an outstanding experience, utilizing Crafted Outdoor Living for the redo of our front yard. Jeremy and his team responded promptly to our request for an initial site visit. Within several days he sent us a proposal with a rough layout for a xeriscape plan. Once approved he his team showed up promptly and did an excellent job in clearing the land bringing in new soil, crushed granite, boulders, and an assortment of deer resistant plants. Each day when they were finished they cleaned up the property. Their price was very competitive. I would highly recommend Crafted Outdoor Living for any of your landscape projects.

Crafted Outdoor Living has completely transformed the way we see our backyard. For years, it looked worn and uninviting, and we longed for a change. Now, thanks to Jeremy and his incredible team, my family and I finally have a beautiful outdoor space that we truly love spending time in. We are deeply grateful for their hard work, care, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Jeremy and the team at Crafted Outdoor Living and Design did an incredible job brightening up our backyard space and truly making it the outdoor oasis I was looking for! They came highly recommended from a friend/neighbor and they did not disappoint! They were communicative throughout the entire project and very good about staying within the budget we provided. I could not be happier with how everything turned out!

These guys were top notch from start to finish! Consultation was informative and helpful, not pushy or overly suggestive, with pricing very reasonable, especially compared to a few other quotes we received. We had an ambitious design for a smaller space with tricky drainage issues and Jeremy's expertise made it a reality. The process went smoothly, Jeremy and his team did quality work, cleaned up daily and kept us informed on next steps while making sure we were happy with the design with every step. Every detail was considered and discussed so the end result is exactly what we envisioned. We did have rain delays and some parts of the install took longer than anticipated, but such is construction. If you are looking for a solid contractor to engage in design and provide quality work, give these guys a call!

Yesterday morning around 8:30am on my way to work one of their company trucks almost slammed into me. Number 118. They went straight across three lanes of traffic on parmer and apparently never saw my white car till the last min when I had to slam on my breaks and he had to swerve threw more lanes. The speed limit at that area (Dallas and parmer) is 60. He dropped his speed so slow to try and stop me from seeing his car number. But we ended up take the same route so when he turned on lake creek I got his car number. I called the company when I got to work. The lady was nice took some info but never asked for the truck number. She said I would be getting a call back and I said great thank you so much im going into work so I may miss the call is what I was attempting to say when she just started talking over me no clue what she was saying. I stopped talking and said okay twice and she never said anything else so I hung up really confused and nobody ever called me back.

Update: it's been about a week and a half still no call no response to this review at all. And apparently we take the same route every day because I was behind 118 again today watching him swerve for 15 minutes while he was talking on the phone one hand holding the phone to his face the other one throwing his hand around so clearly not responsibly driving at all. But since there's been a lack of response from this company it's clear this is just okay who cares that this is school drop off time that he was going past school areas it doesn't matter right.
