Best experience ever!!!!! John Paul and his crew were: on-time, on-budget, professional, courteous, experienced and overall, a pleasure to work with. They installed a major landscape project in our front yard, and when they left, you couldn’t tell they had been here (complete cleanup!). Would definitely use again or recommend to anyone!

He is enthusiastic about your project, passionate about the work that he and his coworkers do, and proud of his work, as he should be. As always Matt and the crew at Longhorn Lawns went above and beyond on my backyard project. Matt came thru and we talked ideas and he shot straight with me the whole time about costs and scope. I like working with people I know I can trust and do the best work possible. That’s what I got.

I even noticed that the crew fixed a couple of my loose fence posts too just to make sure everything looked as good as it could. Same type of thing they did on my last project and why I wanted to work with them again. Little touches to show that they give a damn and do good work.

All in all - they transformed my backyard to something better than I could have imagined and kept my budget. Can’t beat that.

We recently used Matt and his crew to re do our front and back yard. We initially approached a few businesses to get quotes and I went with longhorn as they were reasonable but also Matt was very easy to deal with and very knowledgeable with all our questions. We are so happy with how everything turned out, it really transformed our space from just plain grass to well designed outdoor areas that we now utilize everyday.

We used longhorn lawns to revamp our front garden bed and build some metal planters for us in our front & back yard. We also had sod put down over an area that had been previously mulched. They were absolutely wonderful to work with! Matt was the project manager of our job- He was super communicative and thorough. He sent us pictures for ideas and options. He chose really nice options and designs for our yard and steered us away from options that wouldn’t work with our sun exposure. They also really followed through to make sure we were satisfied with every aspect of the job. Matt was super honest, fair, and really follows through on his word. We loved working with Matt and his team and highly recommend them!

Working with Longhorn lawns to redo the grass in my yard has been super simple simply wonderful and outstanding. I am so impressed with their work overall in the yard looks so good shout out to Matt and his team for the excellent work in the quick turnaround time.

After we paid for a poorly installed backyard flagstone patio in January, I wanted a dependable company to undo and redo our hoped-for landscape project. The original patio was poorly laid over a mound of crushed granite that was not evenly distributed across the area before laying the rocks. There was no pattern to the patio, which had a huge center hump, and the area was a disappointing reminder of the money we spent.

Luckily I called Longhorn Lawns, because the end result is a lovely back yard we can enjoy with a patio we can safely use without fear of falling. Matt was out for the estimate just a few days after my call. He quickly understood our goal and within a week his crew was tackling our patio.

The Longhorn Lawn crew worked seamlessly as a team and although 3 people were involved, they were all on the same page in tearing out and reconstructing a flagstone patio that was perfectly flat and blended well with our existing flagstone walk. It was a joy to watch their careful work methods.

Additionally, Matt's crew re-mulched areas surround the patio, and in our front yard. Our yard now has a blue-ribbon look that truly makes us happy. Longhorn Lawns was extremely reasonably-priced for our project.

We had a perfect experience with Longhorn Lawns from the moment I sent them an email. The company contacted me that day, and within 2 weeks, we had our new patio. This is a competent company I highly recommend.

"We purchased a new home 4 years ago that came with the standard builder dirt and St. Augustine in our backyard. Due to droughts, poor drainage, and mainly sandy loam as the base, our grass did not survive. Weeds took over in no time and our backyard was a disaster. I hired GSL to bring my overflow reservoir up to code. I feel that I got way more than my money's worth. I will use them again without hesitation or concern. They lead by example and finish all the details.

Second chances are hard to get. But I gave one. My fence post was torn from the ground, work was never completed. The same sassy attitude came right back from the employees, and here I am wondering what the hell I was thinking! They are nice until they mess up. Then they are totally rude. I can say the owner was nice while I was losing it on my way to lowes at night to buy soil to save a tree that was left in a box with nothing but a rootball. But the staff did not treat me so well. Oh!... and if you only spend $10,000 in a month... You will be told there are are bigger jobs and that's why yours is being left incomplete and repairs of things they damage are taking longer. Pft!
They are paying for the fence repair now, but boy did I have to spend a lot of energy to even get that much. So 2 stars instead of 1! Because this time they are paying for damage. But I'm left shaking my head wondering why I even let this happen twice.
It's expected that companies will make mistakes. But the way they handle those mistakes speaks volumes!

This company provides grass cutting and maintenance for my community. Unfortunately, they cant do either one well. Grass killer was used around utility boxes and perimeter of homes to eliminate the need to edge properly. Really lazy approach and very destructive.

Tree trimming is not any better and communication is poor. They seem to want to argue a lot too. Lots of maintenance companies in Austin, this one should not be on your list.
