Cutters Landscaping did our backyard 2 years ago. The quality of work and materials are great, because our yard still looks the same and doesn’t require a lot of maintenance. We are very satisfied with the result and would work with them again!

We hired Cutters to redo our yard. They were professional, upfront with pricing, and the quality of the work was perfect. They built a new deck, converted yard to hardscape, converted irrigation to drip, and added new plants. We were incredibly impressed every step of the way, love the space they created, and definitely recommend them to others.

We had a Cutters do an absolutely huge landscaping and deck rebuild at our place. We added 3 terraces, did grading, sod and turf installation. The whole nine yards. It was a 3 month long project and they were very responsive and the crew was great, friendly and careful. They got done on time and even a little under budget. They got the punch list items done in under a week. I couldn't recommend Cutters enough.

We have used Cutters Landscaping for two separate projects and were impressed with the entire process, start to finish both times. This company was quick to respond to our online request. We received a reasonable estimate for services and Cutters remained in consistent communication with us up to start date. The work was neat and we are extremely happy with results. We would use again and certainly recommend Cutters for any landscaping needs.

We reached out to Cutter's Landscaping to install our irrigation system and they returned our request for information very quickly. The review and quoting process was very easy and the installation was done all in the same day for a complex and very custom installation. Their crew was professional and left the job site fully cleaned upon departure. I was very happy with their work and Charlie is fun to work with!

Charlie and his team did an excellent job. Charlie provided excellent consultation, and is able to speak to both aesthetics and function of projects. Job was scheduled in a timely manner and completely within the estimated window. Erasmus and his crew were efficient and did high quality work. They thoroughly cleaned their workspace and left all areas undamaged. Will definitely be using Cutters again for future projects.

Cutter’s was great to work with. We hit a bit of a blip in our project when composite colors looked different in person vs. in photos, and Cutter’s was super flexible and accommodating and worked with us to get the issue resolved so we could achieve the aesthetic of our backyard remodel that we were aiming for. Cutters did a great job cleaning out dead plants from the freeze and replanting to our specifications. The crewing working at our house was very professional and efficient. When one aspect of our plan was not completed as discussed, their team was quick to remedy the situation and deliver a solution we are more than pleased with. Charlie and the admin team were very responsive in the bidding/billing process, which made for a very enjoyable experience. If you’re looking for a company with hardworking people that genuinely strive to deliver great landscaping services - Cutters is the way to go.

Cutters was an absolute pleasure to work with while creating a beautiful and functional space for our family in our backyard. We had severe drainage issues - Cutters was able to alleviate that pain point and even went above and beyond by suggesting an alternative way to tackle the problem. I appreciated their transparency in order to make sure the fix was good for the long term and not just a bandaid. I trusted the crew and knew we were in good hands! It was such a good feeling to know they all were working together to achieve our vision.

Buyer Beware — Cutters Landscaping Let Me Down

I’m honestly not sure how Cutters Landscaping has so many five star reviews because my experience was anything but five star. Things started off well enough, but the quality dropped fast and the disappointment just kept piling up. I hired them to install a full xeriscape design which included removing old mulch, laying compacted road base, weed barrier, and topping with crushed granite along with planting drought tolerant landscaping.

A large amount of mulch was left behind in the front flower beds, side landscaping, and other smaller areas around the house. I was told there would be a proper compacted road base followed by weed block. When I asked why there was no road base, the crew casually claimed it was mixed in with the crushed granite. That is not even close to what we discussed at the start of the project.

Then came the real corner cutting. They ran out of weed block and instead of taking the time to get more and finish the job right, they dumped crushed granite straight over mulch and dirt. I see why they are called Cutters. It is because they cut corners and hope you do not notice. When I pointed out the mulch bleeding through and that the work was clearly unfinished, I was met with attitude instead of ownership.

As a retired veteran I know the meaning of integrity and this was not it. If you are looking for a company that will actually listen to your vision and deliver with professionalism, care, and follow through, do not use Cutters. No matter the cost and I paid over $10K, if you are hiring someone to do a job especially in a market full of competition you expect the basics; quality work, clear communication, and someone who gives a damn after being paid. Instead I got excuses, rushed work, and silence once the check cleared. No one came to check the final product. No one followed up to ask if I was happy. It was like once they got the money I no longer existed. I’ve taken the quality control into my own hands and corrected the remaining lazy, incompetent work to ensure the value I put into this project actually shows.

We had a great experience with Cutters. The same crew was with us for the month it took to complete our project, and they were friendly and efficient. They provided expertise on how to best make our design plan a reality. The Cutters business team was communicative and helpful. We will definitely use Cutters again for any future landscaping needs.
