Tree reviews in Austin, Texas

In March 2025, I had a large oak tree removed by Capitol Tree Care. This was a technically challenging, and potentially dangerous job - with long weakened limbs extending over the house and fence. The crew of Brian, Cargil, and Nico did a great job! They were on time, easy to work with and delivered the job that was promised. It wasn't cheap. But considering the risk, it was worth going with a company that could comfortably and safely handle a difficult job.

Brian Garcia, Leo G., and Zack H. from Capitol Tree Care did a great job at our house the other week. We were due for a clean out on our lot already, and after the May storm there was a good bit of mess to clean up. The crew did a thorough job with trimming and cleaned up after themselves very well. We would definitely hire them again in the future.

Brian Garcia,Wonder Ponder and Cargil Wright with Capitol Tree Care, did a great job of trimming my White Oak. They showed up on time and cleaned up afterward.

I've been meaning to write a review and just remembered. These guys came out last month and I met Cargil (I'm pretty sure i still can't say his name correctly). He explained everything very clearly, felt honest, and seemed like he cared.

Their team came out a few days later to trim my trees, which were in pretty bad shape. The team was quick and the trees look great. They cleaned up after themselves like they were never here which i appreciate. Now i walk around my neighborhood judging other, untrimmed, trees.

Brian, Zach and Caleb came today to trim our many trees. They were excellent, efficient, friendly, fast and cleaned up all afterwards. A great team!

Capitol Tree Care did a great job for us at a fair price. We had a 64 year old pecan fall in a storm, and James talked through the removal process with us, and helped figure out what and when to plant to get our shade back. Warren did a great job grinding the HUGE 64 year-old stump not to mention the other four tree stumps we had. The ground was smooth, but he nevertheless showed us where to be mindful when walking around in the yard. Thanks guys!

Capitol Tree Care is an outstanding company. We have used their services on a number of occasions and are always happy. Today Brian Garcia, Zach H and Warren Ponder did a fantastic job with pruning our live oaks and fruit trees. The team are friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company.

Wow - where to start. See pics - self explanatory.

First, scanned the previous reviews....makes sense (5stars)...although the 1star review? Seeeems highly questionable, and doesn't mention anyone on their team (wouldn't trust that review).

Regardless, James and his company are unreal - the true epitome of being experts in their field. I called randomly when I saw the vehicle on the road, because other people I tried to speak with, were just not responsive and unreliable. A quote for $1300 for 2 trees to be pruned/trimmed was wild...so I needed to compare. Very high value for the pricing, and quotes will vary depending on your work.

Just call them - no need to look anywhere else, but keep reading for more detail.

Honest company, an unbelievable amount of knowledge on trees, recommended I do certain things, not to do other things now & also when a better time to do them would be (due to the seasons and temps in the environment), and the workers were great / worked safe / and did an amazing job.

You really don't know what great work is until it's complete and you experience something like this type of service. Some pictures here for proof.

Will not be choosing anyone else again, and will absolutely use them again in the future for other projects and maintenance upkeep.

Stop looking, and commit to this team to do the work for you. TOO EASY.

Capitol Tree Care did a fantastic job trimming a large branch that was hanging dangerously low after the most recent storm. They were able to squeeze us in to their schedule earlier than initially quoted when I expressed concerns about the tree falling on a truck or passerby. Emily in the front office was incredibly friendly and patient with my multiple phone calls. Brian, Leo, and Leon arrived on time, worked efficiently and thoroughly, and made sure the space was completely cleaned up when they were done. I highly recommend Capitol Tree Care for anyone needing professional and reliable tree services!

Very good experience with Capitol Tree Care today. Brian G and Zack H removed three crepe myrtles, trimmed another three crepe myrtles,, and took an artistic (I’d say) approach to pruning a live oak that had lots of dead wood and crossed branches, etc. They also took care of Hackberry branches overhanding our roof. And then the clean up — so tidy! Warren followed on the next day with an excellent and clean stump grinding. Efficient but not rushed, the whole process was stress-free. Highly recommend.

The crew that Capitol Tree Care sent out (Brian Garcia and Zack H.) were top notch. They answered all my questions which helped me understand the process better. They were very professional and worked diligently to get the job done. And, my trees look great!!

Very satisfied! Great communication, punctual, respectful, work was performed on scheduled and efficiently. End results look great. Warren especially did a great job with stump grinding and was super personable and professional! Would gladly recommend Capitol Tree Care to others.

I have had nothing but the best of luck with Capitol Tree Care. They are absolutely terrific. And today, Brian Garcia, Zack H., and Caleb were genuinely artists in the work they did on our trees. Will use them again, I'm certain.

The crew from Capitol Tree Care (Brian Zach Caleb) did an outstanding job pruning 9 cedar elms (all tall) and removing 2 trees. The trees look very clean with limbs well away from the house. They communicated all of their activities and discussed possible issues with a tree removal. Will definitely use in the future.

Warren did an outstanding job! He was very thorough pulling back grass and applying organic compost and hardwood mulch for my trees. He also explained in detail what I should do to maintain the results.

The quality of the exceeded my expectations.

Thank you for helping me taking care of the trees!

Brian, Cargil and Nico did an excellent job with the pruning and cleanup of 3 live oaks (15'-25') at our house! The crew worked safely, expediently and cleaned up the debris very well.

We were also very satisfied with the attention to detail that went in to the bid, as well as the transparency in pricing.

We plan on using Capitol Tree Care for our future tree care needs.

Brian, Caleb and Zach of Capitol Tree Care did an amazing job trimming our trees and installing a dynamic cable to lift a limb away from the roof. They were professional and double checked their work. They also did a great job cleaning up the work area. I would recommend Capitol Tree Care to anyone needing tree service.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Brian Garcia, Cargil Wright, and Nico Wright of Capitol Tree Care for the wonderful trim work on our pistache tree, three huge crepe myrtles, rose of Sharon, and Texas mountain laurel AND for mistletoe removal from our beloved cedar elm. They understood what we wanted, explained how they'd do it, and followed through. They took care around ground plants I asked them to avoid and cleaned up after they were done cutting. They were all friendly and courteous. What a great experience! I will remember them next time we are in need. THANKS AGAIN! FIVE STARS!

Brian Garcia, Caleb, and Zach came out today to remove two trees for us, and they did an amazing job! They were kind, professional, safe, quick, thorough, mindful of our property, and helpful answering questions we had. I have had nothing but great work done using Capitol Tree Care, and will continue to use them for our tree related needs!

Our trees had not been trimmed for years and we're a mess! If you need tree care call Capitol for great care and service . Ask for the team of Brian Garcia, Cargil Wright, and Nico Lane they the best!
They don't "scalp" a tree but open up, clean up and contribute to the overall health of ones trees.
I will have them back for sure. Gary J.

Capitol Tree Care pruned up two Bur Oaks and a Crape Myrtle in our front yard. They were easy to work with, efficient, fast and high quality. Did a great job to keep our healthy trees looking great with a trim! We were so happy we had them plant two new trees and we are very happy!
