They responded to the call for service promptly. Technician arrived and had the problem diagnosed quickly. A replacement part was brought to him and everything was fixed in a quick time.

I had Buchanan electric install a standby generator at my house. We had an 8 AM appointment. The technicians were here at 7:55 AM. They were very courteous they walked me through what was going to happen. They explained how the generator worked. They explained how the automatic bus transfer box worked. They got the job done in 2 1/2 hours. Then we had to wait for the plumber that run the natural gas then Buchanan Electric sent out a different technician to do the initial light off. He was here promptly. He was very courteous very polite walked me through the operation of the generator. I couldn’t be more happy with an expense of this magnitude I feel like I Understand how it works, and I feel confident that I can call them if I have any problems I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for Any electrical work. They cleaned up after themselves. There was no mess. I’m so happy with my purchase thanks, Wes.

Can’t imagine a better experience with a company! Buchanan installed a whole house generator for us in Lake Jackson. From the very beginning, the professionalism stood out. Due to our layout, the project was challenging. Adam Rios was the project lead and worked tirelessly to make sure we made the best decisions for the project. Multiple discussions were needed to fully scope the project, and Adam answered every question. The three installers on the project, Patrick, Cory and Jason are just about the most knowledgeable, energetic, and personable young men I have ever met. Completely patient with all my questions. Always cheerful as well, in the most extreme conditions. I can’t forget Wes Buchanan the owner who made multiple site visits to check on progress.

Buchanan came out the next day and gave us a quote, within the week it was done. ✅ This was also during the summer, prime hurricane season! Had my Generator go out during a Outage that Buchanan Electric Installed. I Texted them on a Sunday. Monday was Labor day, So they came out on Tuesday Mid Morning, and had it Fixed same Day! Great JOB! Buchanan Electric!

I needed an electrical outlet put on one side of my house. I called Buchanan Electric and they sent someone out to look and give me an estimate. I thought the estimate was very fair. I approved it and in a few days two young men came out to install it. They were the nicest young men, sorry I don't remember their names. They were so polite and got right to work. They explained and showed me everything they did. I would highly recommend Buchanan Electric to everyone who needs some electric work done.

Had a breaker go out in my breaker box. The job took less than an hour. They charged me $195.00 for breaker. $400.00 for labor. To change out a breaker it cost me over $600.00. Last job they will do for me.

Recently purchased a Champion Stand by generator from Buchanans. We met with several companies when starting the process, and Buchanan’s team by far were the most knowledgeable about their products, and provided the best information and guidance which ultimately led us to choosing to proceed with them. They were also extremely competitive in regards to pricing. From start to finish it was a smooth process. Shout out to Adam & Jake, service was fantastic guys, appreciate working with you both.

My installation crew did an awesome job. Kaden, Corey and Patric were professional, patient and kept me informed every step of the way. Not one of them had issues with my asking questions, and I had several. The power company dropped the ball several times and that made the job harder and more complicated and made the job run longer but Caden, Corey and Patric never lost their composure. I am most impressed. Obviously the Buchanan owners hire and train their people well.

I recently hired Buchanan to install an outdoor breaker at my home to allow me to isolate my electric panel to work on it. As an electrician by trade, I wanted to replace my panel, and after weighing the options with Buchanan’s estimator, we both thought that the outdoor breaker would be best for what I was trying to do. After receiving the quote, I bit the bullet and hired them to do the work as I was pressed for time with my job.

When the day came for them to install the breaker, I was working and not able to be present. My wife was home to help with anything they may have needed. They assisted in working with the inspector and the utility to ensure power was back on by the time my children were home, however, it was close. There was a point where my wife was nervous that we wouldn't get power back, but they got it done by 6pm that evening.

When I came home, that’s when I was able to put my eyes on the work and really see the craftsmanship and quality issues that existed in their finished product. The issue easily noticeable was the box was crooked. It wasn’t slightly off, it was way off. When I put my level on it, the bubble was not even close to floating the center. At first I thought I would correct that issue myself being it would be an easy correction, but as I looked deeper I realized that I wanted them to come correct their mistakes considering how much I paid.
The second issue was the close nipple connecting the meter can to the breaker box. The lock rings were loose and not making contact with either the meter can or the breaker box.
The third issue was the attachments to the breaker box itself. When you upgrade your service in LJ they require you to install a whole home surge protector according to city code. This was installed on my outdoor breaker box on the bottom side. When I touched it, it was very loose like they didn’t attempt to tighten it. When I had the quote performed, it was also noted that my pool equipment power conduit would have to be modified and run through the breaker box to the panel. That conduit was also loose on the bottom side of the breaker box.
The fourth issue was the surface condition of the outdoor panel itself. When the electricians were drilling out the holes through the bottom and back, they didn’t do a great job of protecting the finish on the front and side of the box. They scratched it up pretty good which requires touchup paint to ensure rust does not form. They also had issues with their hole saw slipping on the bottom and gouging the finish. This also requires touchup paint as it went down to the bare metal.
The last issue was the overall cleanliness of the work area after completion. The electricians left a large amount of debris in my electric panel where they had to remove the conduit for the pool equipment. They didn’t bother cleaning up the inside of the breaker box or the electric panel.

I sent all this information with pictures to my point of contact at Buchanan and they said they would go out and correct the issues. They straightened the breaker and tightened everything up. I cleaned up the mess prior to them coming back, so they didn’t have to do that part. Also, I will have to repaint the abrasions on the box to prevent rusting.

It’s been almost two months and they haven’t followed up with me after their technicians came back so I figured it was time to leave a review. I realize my job wasn’t large, however, a little oversight of junior journeymen and customer care goes a long way. For transparency, I spent $1673.62 to have this work done. It wasn’t cheap from my perspective, and I gave Buchanan the job based on reputation of the company. With that, there was no follow up communication from them after the issues were partially corrected. Ultimately, I don’t want to have to provide quality control for the contractors I hire, especially if they are one of the most reputable and expensive in the area. So I will attempt to avoid them in the future if possible.

Buchanan Electric installed a 26kv Generac at our house 10/24! Very good service! Techs were very professional and courteous! I have no complaints about them! Work was completed as scheduled! Generator performs as expected! Thank you to the crews that worked and left everything neat and clean when they left!

2 gentlemen arrived at my home today from Buchanan electric to install a kitchen light and a fan in the shop. They were very courteous I am speaking about Kaden and Patric. At first the installation was kinda difficult because the light was antique with there skill they problem solved and installed my beautiful pitching light for Christmas
