Employee working lumber department on 12/31 @ 2 pm was rude and needs to be re-trained on using the saw. I asked another employee walking by if they were able to cut some msg board for me, he wasn’t working that department and called the lumber guy. The lumber guy came over and I asked him if he could cut a 3/4” 2’ x 4’ board for me to 36” x 18”. He stated that he “wasn’t allowed to make rip cuts 12” or less”. I stated that employees have been doing this exact request for me before and that I wasn’t asking for a board 12” or less - just cut it down to 36x18. He refused to ask for clarification and fine whatever and left and drove right to the location on 7950 South Freeway in Ft Worth and asked for the same thing 3/4” 2’x4’ mdf board to cut down to 36”x18”. They had no problem performing this for me and I paid for the board and was out the door in 10 minutes. This Burleson location lumber department needs some retraining on this “rip cuts” rule.
