If I could give 0 stars I would. My home warranty company sent them out to us for our AC issue and this company never contacted me on their own in the 2 weeks that I dealt with them, any conversations were because I had to call them to see what was going on. Compressor fan wasn't running but the inside unit was. 1st time the technician came out he left saying he would have to give this to his supervisor and they would could contact me. 2 days later and nobody contacting me I had to chase the them down to see what was going on. When I talked to the supervisor and tried to demand someone to come to our house because it wasn't working (105 degrees outside) he told me the technician could come that evening but it would be an emergency call and I'd have to pay him a $100 fee. WTH!I was told this on a Monday after the technician left the previous Wednesday and I was told I would hear something the next day!Technician and another person in the company told me twice that if the fan was running when they came out, there was no way to tell me why it would stop working (makes no sense). I had video to show them what was going on and they didn't care to look at it, told them what a previous company had told me what was wrong and they never looked into it. The second time the technician came out, I was told to call the next time it wasn't working and they would try to get someone out (I had already done this and they didn't but okay). 4 hours after he left, I called him because it wasn't working and he said he would call someone and I would hear back. Never heard back from anyone! 40 hours later, someone shows up to my house (unannounced) to look at my AC but I was not available. I called this person at 11:30am that day to see why he showed up and I never knew they were coming. He tells me he was in the area and was going to see if he could look at it. I said well since the fan is running I'm not sure how you can since I've been told more than once there was no way you could. He now says he is trying to do everything he can to make this situation right (2 weeks later) and he will do every tests he can with me watching me. Confusing right? How can you do that now, but the last 2 weeks you couldn't? He was going into a meeting and he said he would call me back and yep, HE NEVER DID! But yet, he was trying to do everything he could to make this right! I had my home warranty send a different company out, the fan was running when they got here, still managed to figure out what was wrong with it, and replaced 3 items and no issues since. Unbelievable! I will never use this company again or refer them to anyone. Completely unprofessional.

Do not use this company! 1st tech said the unit needed freon, but he couldn't figure out how add it, said he'd have to talk to his boss. ElGHT days later, after calls, voicemail, and texts from me with no responses, I called and talked to the owner, who didn't know anything about it, but then called back to say he'd "dropped the ball" but had gotten back with our home warranty company to complete the paperwork they'd sent him SIX days before. The home warranty company, based on the owner's information, denied the claim because, now, all of a sudden, the problem went from a freon problem to total replacement of the unit because it was "improperly installed". This company is incompetent, dishonest, and spiteful.

What a horrible company. I have American Home Shield and all they send is this type of company. First Juan comes out and disables my ac board when he came down I asked him what he did he said nothing you need a new board. Ahs sent another tech that discovered he didn’t reconnect it after he took it off. Then they resent Tim out for duct work only wow what a winner. Comes over and tells us he won’t let any of his people work in our attic unless we put walkways up there. We did that then he returns today and tells my husband to nail or duct tape them down, right 😂. Then he supposedly goes up and measures and comes down and claims that ahs has denied the claim. That was the first dispatch number I explained to him. He then stated I gave him a 1 star review for the last tech ( well here’s another for you Tim) my husband stated we’re not here to talk about that. Then he refused to talk to ahs then he stated that the duct damage was done by a coil put in backward then stated it could have been other things that caused it. But was going to report it was the coil. So actually it was a great possibility it was wear and tear on a 26 year old home. Which he didn’t like. He then stated they don’t do duct work because they don’t make money so why the heck was he at my house when ahs stated duct work only. It was one lie after another and he became belligerent and stood up like he was tough. My husband kicked him off our property and we have reported his behavior to ahs. I will not have any of this companies techs on my property as none of them are honest. This one was just mad because I gave the last tech a 1 star when as far as I am concerned they both earned less than 1 star.

Would give them 0 stars if I could BEWARE do not choose this company! Came out to diagnose our AC, charged us the diagnostic fee and said they would refund us that fee once they fixed it. It has been 3 days and we haven’t heard a THING from them. They have basically stolen our money! I’ve called more than 30 times and they will not answer, my husband went by and the door was locked during business hours. Thieves.

Guys came out to look at my HVAC unit. Spent like 5 minutes at my house, most of that was taking pictures of my horse and calling there kids to show them the horse. They said the issue was dirty coils, but didn’t fix it. Said they didn’t have what they needed to fix it. That’s the whole point on coming out was to fix the issue. Waste of time and money. DONT USE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PROFESSIONALISM AND IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY WANTING THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR HVAC RESOLVED.

I would give them zero stars I would. We were assigned this company by AHS and after the first time they sent their tech out he told us that we had a dead fan in our unit. He said he would try to come back the next day to replace the fan. Three days later he finally returns to replace the fan and then tells us that the actually issue to our unit was damage to the wiring that he claims was caused by a power surge. Well guess what AHS doesn’t cover under their warranty policy? Damage due to issues like a power surge. There was no evidence that an external power surge caused the damage and when asked by my insurance agent (who had to spend 2 weeks calling this company before they could get in touch with the tech) asked for evidence of how a power surge caused the damage could not provide definitive evidence.
I believe this company said whatever they needed to say in order to cover the back of AHS. They were inefficient and dishonest and I don’t recommend them at all. -
This company is unprofessional. They schedule an appointment for the next day. I took the day off of work to be there. Then they sent a text message at 4:15pm to tell me they would not coming the next day and would be coming 4 days later. When i told them that would not work and that I had taken the day off, the owner called me. When I complained about them breaking a commitment the owner started yelling at me. Then he cancelled the service with AMS. If AMS books them for you, call them and ask it to be re-assigned.

I really don't like to do this, but If I could give zero stars I would. Texas Heat and Air was assigned to us via American home shield in July of 2024 when our AC failed. It took until October for them to install the new unit, first red flag. By July 2025 the compressor on the unit had failed. Upon filing a claim, we were told to turn off the system and not touch anything until assessment, a directive we followed as we have an additional unit on the house that works properly. An alternate vendor was assigned and on assessment told us they would not touch the unit due to negligent installation, leaving us back in American Home Shields hands and only Texas Heat and Air to deal with.... It took until September for someone to get to us where they confirmed the compressor needed replacement. At no point during this appointment did anyone say anything to us or note anything in our account about filters or coils outside on the unit. From September 18th until January 28th 2026, we neither heard from them nor were able to get anyone to answer the phone. When we finally did, we were informed that they had attempted to contact us and after several attempts had cancelled the appointment. We have two emails, and three phone numbers on our account, none of which have record of outreach and none of which have issue being contacted when American Home shield needs payment for something. Curious
When they show up to make their claim assessment, the unit has now been sitting in its state for nearly 6 months. Timothy proceeds to speak down to us about maintenance on the unit and negligence for lack of maintenance. Perhaps referring to the maintenance/repairs that Texas Heat and Air was supposed to be providing us that we are somehow now responsible for?
I hate to write a poor review of a local company, but we have spent over $15k in the last year on this HVAC system and Texas Heat and Air has been a nightmare to deal with. I would say terrible communication, but it was zero. Service and installation were negligent to the point that we can't get another vendor to touch the system and when they did come out for service it was 6 months late, putting the unit and us in jeopardy of having our claim denied, which it was.
If you have an open option / out of pocket, trust the reviews and go with one of the trusted vendors in the area. If you are dealing with a warranty company and they assign you Texas Heat and Air, I would recommend you exercise your right to request another vendor and save yourself from a similar experience.
