I am so happy I discovered Johnny at Air Rescue Mechanical. I've known for a long time that my air conditioning system needed to be replaced but was trying to get it to last as long as possible. When my system stopped working on a 100 degree day, I freaked out as I had surgery scheduled 4 days from then to have my knee replaced. There was no way I could recover during the hot months of June, July, and August with no air conditioning. Johnny went the extra mile to replace some parts that are extremely hard to replace on my older unit. I know that any other company wouldn't have gone to that extent and would have told me I needed to replace the entire system. What Johnny did will at least get me through the next 3 months while I am recovering from knee surgery. He was very caring about my situation, punctual, trustworthy, honest & very reasonably priced.

I called Air Rescue Mechanical after I got a bid and a service recommendation and price that I felt were not in line with what my actual issue is. Johnny came out the same day he got the service request and got me up and running. Not only was he very patient taking his time explaining what needed to be done to keep me going, but, what a plan may be to consider in the future since the unit was old. Since the majority of us laymen don't know how or what to fix if the A/C goes down, it was nice to work with someone you felt was on your side and just wanted to do good business so you would work with them in the future.

They failed to find an easy problem with a broken capacitor. I was forced to make a second service call to another company who fixed it immediately. These people cost me an additional service fee with American Home Shield. So I had a bad experience with this company and won't use them again.

We had a bad AC fan motor in the middle of summer. Johnny was our repair guy, and I'm so glad he was. He was great and very easy to work with. He went above and beyond the call of service. He even came a day earlier than planned due to a slot opening up in his schedule. He explained what was going on and made the fix right away. I highly recommend him. Top notch experience.

Air Rescue did a great job for me. American Home Shield is a good warranty company and wouldn’t use them if not reliable.

American Home Shield had assigned the HVAC service at my residence to Air Rescue Mechanical.

Air Rescue Mechanical's service was excellent. The HVAC issue was detected quickly in the morning, and the replacement part was acquired & replaced the very same evening. Given their tight schedule (with the demand for HVAC services in peak summer), I am very glad that they were kind, considerate, understanding & professional in their response to address the issue.

I really owe this company and, especially Johnny, a huge thank you for their timely/expedited evaluation. Our air conditioning went out the night prior. Our unit has had issues previously and other companies took several days to come fix the issue. However air rescue mechanical was there within hours of my call. This was of particular importance to me as we had a sick eight month old. Again, I had a very great experience. I will always use them in the future.

Room temperature was stuck at 80, he came immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem at very reasonable price. He is very professional and honest individual. Very customer focused. He will be my HVAC repair guy going forward. I have referred him to my friends and family

Air Rescue Johny’s service was arranged by my home warranty provider, AHS. I was quite satisfied with their service. The technicians were skilled, courteous, and professional. They effectively fixed the leak and replaced the drip pan. I would confidently recommend them for your HVAC needs

Update 5/7/24 (new post): My other AC unit went out last week and after calling my Home Warranty Service, they assigned Johnny to me once again. I was relieved to know that he was the company called to look into my AC issue. He was able to fix this again in a timely manner. He was responsive & very professional. Thanks Johnny!

(8 months ago - 2023): Johnny was there when I needed him! He was very professional and he knew within minutes what was wrong. He replaced the part within 10 minutes. Living in Texas it is hot right now.! I am so appreciative that he was able to fix it!! Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend them.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered with a contractor. I was setup with Air Rescue Mechanical through American Home Shield with my problem being “my A/C does not work”. When the tech arrived, I watched him working on the unit until he left. There were items left disconnected and he did not go inside the home to confirm it was functioning as designed. A few days later I call them back as the issue was unresolved. This time the same tech came out and everything he was working on continuously blew the circuit breaker (never occurred the first time). He left stating the compressor needed to be replaced costing me $2050.00. When the installation was complete, the tech was on the phone with someone who he was reporting back to who said “that’s too much Freon! You’ll blow the system”. I assumed because he went back and worked on it some more, it would be good to go. Nope. Being that it was November, I didn’t run the unit, but even when off, the system was frozen with visible ice build up. I called Air Rescue Mechanical back out and they said there was an issue with the connector and they have fixed it. This may have fixed the newly replaced compressor but the A/C still did not blow cold air. When I reached back out, Air Rescue Mechanical’s “Johnny” declined to return to the property and said they had been out too many times and I shouldn’t be using the A/C because it’s winter (it’s Texas and it’s been 80+). American Home Shield had their own issues but the process remained delayed as a result of Air Rescue Mechanical failing to update when the work had been complete. This took about 2 months in total and now I’m having to get a new contractor to come do what Air Rescue Mechanical couldn’t - make my A/C work.

If you’re looking to waste your time and money, give them a call. If you want someone who cares about their customers, it’s NOT Air Rescue Mechanical.

P.S. I expect there will be yet another BS response from the company in response to this reviewing.

Technician was able to show up same day and on time with given ETA, friendly and quick service, and got my AC up and running again in less than 30 minutes
EDIT 7/3: I had Johnny come out 4 times for a capacitor replacement, Freon charge, AC unit replacement, and central air fan replacement. He was able to complete all in the same day in a timely manner and with great communication. Could not recommend more

Air rescue mechanical team is very professional, customer focused and goes beyond commercial terms to satisfy customers need. I have installed 3 A/C unit from them. They have done fantastic job with all of them. Highly recommended for installation or maintenance work.

I first used Air Rescue Mechanical in Dec 2016 through my American Home Shield warranty. My units were 26 years old and they had to order the gas valve for the furnace. Johnny came back the next day with part. Fast and professional.

My 26 year old AC units were just replaced the end of May 2017. They served me well but I didn't want them to quit in the middle of summer. Air Rescue Mechanical removed and installed both units in just over 5 hours. They beat other estimates by several $1000's and they are Trane units to boot. I'm actually looking forward to those 100 degree days!!

Do not use this company. They cancelled my appointment and was none-responsive to my telephone calls. They sent someone out that could not find what the problem was. American Home Shield sent these people out to look at my AC problem. Air rescue mechanical cancelled the appointment because they could not find what the problem was. Long story short my AC needed a new furnace because the AC unit is only 2 years old. I tried to tell the Guy this but he did not want to listen. MY AC is nice and cool now. No thanks to the people at air rescue mechanical. I used Aire Serv of Flower Mound, a great company.
