Robertson Pools, Inc

Robertson's did a great job from start to finish. Communicated well and the quality is top notch. I've worked with other pool companies and for the quality and service they are definitely one of the best.

The service we received from Robertson Pools was abysmal when we refinished our pool. They indicated that we could choose the coping, but, alas, we returned home one day and they had installed what has to be the most inexpensive and ugly flagstone they had in the shop. We asked them why they didn't let us know they were going to do that so we could choose the coping. They said - call the sales guy. We did. He said call the installer. Can you say run-around? Then we say that we would not pay for that coping, so they said they would put a lien on our home until we paid. Then, when it was time to lay the concrete, their piping was red-tagged by the city. Robertsons refused to come out and fix the issue. So I had Richard Platz and Golden Pools come out and fix the problem so that the plumbing would pass the pressure test. Richard Platz and Golden Pools were amazing. Robertsons, was simply awful to deal with - we could never speak to a person that would take responsibility for helping us. It was always someone else's fault - even though whosever fault it was was in the Robertsons organization. Simply abysmal.

This is the kind of contracting company you fear having to deal with.
We contracted them to remodel our pool and backyard. The project started in 8/2014 and is nearly finished in 3/2015. That is seven months when we were told to expect about 6 weeks.
The source of the problem with them is lack of project management and a contract that permits them to be paid fully before the work is done leaving the customer with little leverage to get a job done correctly.
Besides the additional damage they did to our house in the process, (a 6'x4' window was destroyed and a patio demolished that wasn't supposed to be) the major delays were caused by their random appearances for work and constantly holding their hands out for the next payment. Payments were held as long as possible, because they felt they could demand the next one without actually finishing the phase they were on.
Now we are arguing with them about fixing a 10 foot crack in the deck they poured. Their contract claims that is not covered under warranty. So, basically they are stating to not expect a quality job from them.
Don't use this company.
