We are SO happy with our new water heater! We were really worried when we realized our water heater was leaking after the ice storm. It’s up on our attic and really not an ideal place when you’re talking about a leak. Proficient Plumbing came out the same day, checked out our water heater and established we needed a new one ASAP. They replaced it seamlessly and it works amazing! They were very personable, professional and clearly knowledgeable about their trade. While here they also suggested a new leak protection device for our entire home to give us more peace of mind for the future! Thank you PPS, youve made customers for life.

This company is really the best. I called them out for an issue with my shower handle and Garrett was able to diagnose and replace the shower valve on the same day. He was so professional and knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to use them in the future - and scheduling with Madison was a breeze.

Proficient Plumbing came out and helped diagnose an issue with out Navien Tankless. Bertin was professional and very clear about the process to repair. Fortunately they had the part and able to repair the same day. The response time was quick and pricing was fair. I’ll definitely use them for any plumbing issue we have.

I had Proficient Plumbing come out to install a 42k grain water softener I had already purchased for my 2500sqft home. Our home already has a Loop ready to go so it should have been a plug and play job. The staff tried to pressure me into buying a larger whole new system for $4500. When I declined they wanted $2500 to install the softener I had already purchased. Clearwater Plumbing, is doing the same job for $180 an hour. Make your own decision but it was clear they were only interested in getting as much money out of me as possible.

Had a slab leak and needed a new water line run to the master bathroom.

The house had been diagnosed already via multiple closed loop methods.

They cut open the house pipes with no static pressure test reading before hand. They filled up the empty leaking pipe, that had been unused for a month, with water. They vacuumed out the water of the supply line. They then attempted to use atmosphere as a proper explanation/test of pipes holding water. Seriously, the pipes are exposed to atmosphere, where is the psi coming from?? I need an explanation of how atmosphere converts to psi.

They then decided to use a plug and play pressure test with their air pump, which obviously only holds up to the psi of the gasket. Maybe we should test your gasket with water and see if it holds better.

From their plug and play pressure “findings” determined that we would need to tear up the entire first floor ceiling in order to re-plumb the entire house.

My full holding tank tells a completely different story. Stick to the contract of what you showed up to do.

At the end of the first day they reconnected the leaking line. After they had run the new line on the second day, I told them to disconnect the old line. For some reason this was met with resistance. Why would I leave a leaking line I just had replaced in the loop?? They then said I would not have a warranty on the slab leak, which made no sense since the house is almost 30 years old.

They did all this in front of their apprentice. Great training y’all.

Multiple house occupants and other visitors also mentioned that the water heater in the garage had been dented in the back near the bottom. Right under where the new line was plumbed in.

On the plus side, the new line has worked with no issues.

Have a straightforward job to replace a water heater thermostat. Sent them photos, provided them with model numbers, even have the new part in hand from the manufacturer, and Proficient would not offer an estimate for the work without demanding an $89 "estimate fee".

Flange and wax seal replacement…. Didn’t even fix the problem had to call him back out and he wanted double the money. Blamed it on my
Floor which was solid when I called him out to do the job but is now sagging cause it’s been leaking ever since…. These guys apparently are new to the buissness and are taking advantage of customers. Of my floor was bad how you gonna fix it right the first time until your plastic bolts break then blame it on me when you were hired to fix a leak. 400 dollars later I still got that leak. I explained to these guys that I was low income, their first estimate was close to 1,000 to replace 1 pipe approx 6” long 3” in diameter, wax seal and flange. When asking the plumber why he would not have took the time to fix correctly he stated he wasn’t a carpenter… so long story short I think he felt like I should put in a new floor before he could do a simple repair and do it satisfactory… however if you got money to waste I’m sure he can be to you in minutes. Pass on this company!! I have a rental property that I was trying to figure out why there was a odor coming from the bathrooms. I called one plumber that said to figure it out you need to perform a smoke test and he recommended Proficient Plumbing because he knew they had the equipment to do that type of test. I called. It took an excruciating amount of time to get them to come out and perform the test, but it was during the holidays, but it still took weeks for them to schedule and perform the test. After the test was performed we didn’t get any clear information from them on exactly what happened. We didn’t get any pictures or any video from them at all. Bertin called me and said, “maybe you could put in a new wax ring and reseat the toilet.” that was his best guess. I asked him how much it would cost to reset the toilet and he told me, “I usually charge $350 per toilet but because we’ve already come out I will charge you $300.” I then get an estimate to reset the toilet for $1650!!!!! What’s crazy to me, is I had just re-done both wax rings at this property not even a year ago. If I could do this myself, it definitely shouldn’t cost $1600 to do it each!!! We did not replace the wax ring and within a week after them coming out or so my tenant said the smell was gone. We did nothing. We think it was because it was vacant for four months prior and it just needed to be flushed out or something. It’s February and still no issues - having done 0…. and out $618.
