What locals say about HVAC, House Cleaning, and Electrical in El Paso

I was contacted within 5 minutes of posting a request for service and had an appointment for two hours later. Jeffery called on his way and showed up at the appointed time. He was courteous, friendly, and confident so I let him loose on the problem (loss of cold air). As he was troubleshooting he found two problems an aging machine suffers from, fixed them, and the system still wasn't running. Being tenatious he dug deeper and found that a mouse had chewed through two wires inside the compressor unit. He fixed them. Put everything back together and now, blissfully so, I am enjoying retirement again. The cost of his service is consistent with local industry standards, offered discounts relative to my situation, and was a decent conversationaist along the way. Definately added his business to my go-to roster of reliable tradesmen.

Called this morning Alice answered when I told her where I lived in Sierra Blanca she rudely hung up on me. That is not how a company should be run. I owed a company for over 30 years in Boston and if I ever did that to a client I hope they would call back and give me S**t. Horrible horrible horrible customer service.

We have been a customer for many years. We were without AC and were not happy with the time frame for scheduling a possible repair. We had this company out every 6 months for maintenance. When it was urgent (Texas heat), we didn't feel like valued customers. Something has changed with this company over the years... and not for the better.

Unfortunately I am having to cancel my membership with this company. I had an 8am-noon scheduled appt. I called at 10:30 am to be sure the appt was still scheduled. I was assured it was while stating the tech was at a call before me and I was next. I received no further communication. I attempted another call after 12pm just to have to leave a message. I still didn't receive a call back. The tech called just before 1pm just say he was behind. I explained to not come out anymore and that I was still waiting for a call from the main office. After finally getting a call back, there was no offer to fix the issue or any care of the situation from either the office or the tech. I had recommended this company to others in the past, and for this to be the outcome after almost 5 years, I regret the recommendations....

Frequently asked questions

  • Is GigoPro free to use?

Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing providers is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.

  • How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?

Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, active, and matches the category it claims. For regulated trades, we look for proper credentials, and inactive listings are hidden automatically.

  • How do I choose the right contractor?

Start with ratings and recent reviews, then compare the services offered, location, and response time. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes — not just the bottom line.

  • Can I list my business on GigoPro?

Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update your services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.

  • How often is the HVAC directory updated?

Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. This page, for example, is reviewed and updated monthly.

  • How often should I have my air system serviced?

At minimum, once a year — ideally a spring tune-up before cooling season and a fall check-up before heating season. Systems that run year-round, older units, and commercial systems often benefit from professional service twice a year.

  • Repair or replacement — how do I decide?

Ask each contractor for both a repair quote and an honest assessment of the unit's remaining life. As a general rule, if a repair costs more than a third of a new system, or your equipment is past its expected lifespan and breaking down repeatedly, replacement is usually the better value. Get two or three opinions before a decision this large.

  • Can companies on GigoPro handle emergencies?

Yes — many list emergency and same-day service in their profiles, with stated after-hours policies. Open the profile and check the response-time and availability information before you need it; in a real emergency, filter for companies that explicitly offer 24/7 service.

  • How much does service cost?

Costs vary by region, system type, and job — there is no honest single number. Reputable contractors provide written estimates after inspecting the system, and comparing two or three is the best way to understand what your job should cost.

  • Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?

Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the company and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs are exactly what helps the next homeowners in your city choose well — and what keeps listed professionals at their best.
