Meztizo Contractors recently worked on the foundation of our home. When I called they answered right away and were able to come out and check out the damage to my foundation the same day. They were also able to start work right away to fix the major problems, the work was done efficiently and the site was cleaned up when they were done. Based on our experience with Meztizo I would recommend using their services.

Meztizo Construction extended a small laundry room. They replaced three walls, installed electrical lights and outlets inside the room and outside. They built some cabinets, shelves, and folding table. They relocated water lines and installed the doors. I was able to contact Mr. Ortiz with my concerns and was receptive to my questions. Robert Lowe recommends Meztizo Construction for any remodeling projects.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Mestizo. I worked with both Larry and his son Alex, and they did a fantastic job. This includes finding and fixing a leak that 3 other plumbers couldn't find, as well as installing a tankless water heater that others simply refused to too as being "too difficult."

I can't recommend them enough. An 80% remodel of the house and it turned out fantastic.

We had a great experience with Meztizo General Contractors. Alex and his crew enclosed a patio into an extra room with heating and air conditioning as well as improving drainage around the former patio, a privacy fence and artificial turf. All concerns were addressed and fixed if necessary. Thank you for our great new room! We love our extra space! We will definitely use them in the future.

They did an outstanding job on our bathroom remodel and bedroom addition. We had a vision of what we wanted and they exceeded our expectations. The workers are professional and very respectful.

I have had my share of experience work with GC. This has been the best experience I have had. When I had questions or needing updates Alex always was available. I am also very please with the work they did especially the custom 12.5 foot Barn doors. I high recommend contacting them for any need you may have.

Just had my backyard done by this company and I’m happy with their work. They were always available when I had questions and were always keeping me updated. They were fast and with an outcome of high quality work. Joe worked on my backyard and always asked if I was happy with the progress and was very professional at all times. Highly recommend.

DO NOT HIRE!
This company was hired to close out an existing porch. The contract was signed in November 2025, and the job was “finished” in late March 2026. The price of the project increased as time passed, and not everything promised was delivered. When Larry proposed the kitchen be remodeled, and told no, he negotiated by saying that he would charge another customer more to lower my price. I found out later that this company has multiple lawsuits for deceptive trade practices and has been taken to small claims court by multiple individuals.

This company provides poor workmanship and are the most unprofessional contractors I have encountered, the workers leave a mess behind along with their personal belongings, and had the audacity to take some of my tools. There is no communication as to when the workers will show up, and when they do, they just walk right on in and leave without announcing themselves. The workers would show up at most 3 hours 2-3 times a week because they are pulled to other projects, the excuse for this was that Larry does not want them to be bored. He removed my kitchen in November, and I was left without any cabinets or sink for 5 months, and when I asked about the timeline, he could not give me a valid reason for it not being finished.

The project was just finished and it has already began falling apart: the grout from the tile is falling out, there are loose tiles, there is no edging used in the shower or niche, the tile was cut with what appears to be a saw, and filled with grout to cover up the mistakes, the installed windows are crooked, the entry door moves when it is opened and closed and its seal is ripped already. As far as the kitchen, the cabinets are not even (I measured each one), when the handles were installed, the wood was broken in the process, the hinges do not fit the cabinets appropriately and are becoming loose, the cabinet doors are crooked, and there are multiple scratches. When this was told to Larry he simply took pictures. It appears that most of the materials used for the kitchen were purchased on Amazon.

When Larry is provided with feedback on what needs to be fixed, he becomes irate and defensive. There is no accountability whatsoever, as he always has an excuse. When you try to have a conversation, he does not allow you to speak and when you try to have a word he cuts you off and threatens to hang up the phone.

Save yourself time, money, and headache, choose another contractor!
