Absolutely incompetent. They have been doing work on our road in Las Cruces for years now, new sewer lines, new water lines, new gas lines. All that takes awhile, sure I get it. It takes even longer when you’re hitting gas lines, water service meters, and not to mention not able to pass inspection on the sewer lines they put in. I’ve watched these guys dig up our road not once, not twice, but 5 times, to “fix” something that was just installed. They have completely tore up our yards, like I mentioned they broke my water meter, hit my neighbors gas line. When we had the cold snap not too long ago with all that rain, the road they tore up turned into a river of mud and sludge, their fix for it? Consolidate all that mud into one big pile and leave it in peoples driveways, in the middle of the street. The city of Las Cruces should have fired these guys by now. I dunno what us tax payers have paid thus far for them, but I can assure you, It was too much.

They have been doing work on our road for years.
We used to live on a nice quiet road near Valley in Las Cruces, and then they came through to replace water lines, gas lines, and meters at all the houses. They arrive early(6-7am) and wake up 4/5 of my children with the constant tractors up and down the road. I tolerated the first time they had to go through because I understood the necessity, but the second and now third time they have to go through and redo it all from scratch because they missed their own deadlines, broke or damaged water lines, hit a gas pipe outside of our house, and heaven knows what else. The amount of times we’ve gone without water is absolutely ridiculous, sometimes we had notice but it was more common to discover the water was randomly turned off to fix something and we just had to make due without (we have 5 kids, 4 under 4). When it rains they make attempts to prevent a river to end up on the road but I always end up stranded unable to drive my small car down the road due to the deep mud and water. Our kids get excited thinking that with our own personal river instead of road they could perhaps go fishing
The amount of tax payer dollars that have been wasted only pales in comparison to the incompetence of these people.
