About the business:
SWHP was founded in 1946 as a venetian blind manufacturer. It was common at the time for venetian blinds to be a locally supplied mom and pop type operation. The company changed hands in 1952 and under the new owners began branching into other areas of installed sales of mostly home improvement products such as curtain rods and other types of window coverings. As the years passed the company became more involved in the new home construction industry installing the previously mentioned products and ultimately added a line of shower doors along with mirrors, closet doors, glass shelving and other glass products.
In 1986 the company was sold to the current owners who have continued to add innovative product lines to the existing offerings. If asked what sets us apart from our competition, I would say product knowledge and most importantly, quality installation. I’m sharing this review to help others make an informed decision about Southwestern Home Products.
The owner personally came to my home, took measurements, and assessed the installation area, including seeing my dog. However, the pet door that was ordered and installed was the wrong size, which required corrections later on.
While I was willing to move forward and resolve the issue, the situation resulted in a significantly higher final cost. Additionally, the overall quality of the work did not meet expectations, particularly in the finishing details.
I made multiple attempts to address these concerns directly, but a fair resolution was not reached, and the experience became frustrating.
In the end, I am left needing to hire someone else to correct the work.
Based on my experience, I would recommend carefully reviewing all details and expectations before proceeding with this company -

I had an in-wall doggy door installed by this company, and it came out wonderful! I was a little scared because I knew they were going to cut a hole in my wall, but they were extremely cautious and professional throughout the entire process. They explained all fees and the differences in the pricing if wires had to be moved. I highly recommend this company! My dog Maxileo is extremely happy with it :)

We recently had a glass resort-style fence installed in our backyard by Southwestern Home Products, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
JD and Jaime were incredibly professional, timely, and their expertise shined through every step of the process. They took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the project. What we thought would be a stressful experience turned out to be seamless thanks to their skill and attention to detail.
The office staff was also wonderful—kind, clear, and efficient during the payment process. We truly appreciate how organized and easy they made everything for us.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The pictures speak for themselves. We were nervous at the beginning, but Southwestern Home Products went above and beyond. The finished fence looks amazing, and we couldn’t be happier!
Highly recommend this team for anyone considering a project like this.
