Reviews of local pros in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas

March 5, 2025

Central Texas Tree Service once again exceeded all of our expectations. We can’t thank owner, Lawson Eddy, and his foreman, Brandon, and crew enough for the service they gave us this past week (and Deborah too in the office!). The following is our review from last year since it applies again for this year!

Central Texas Tree Service, with owner and arborist, Lawson Eddy, and his foreman, Brandon, and crew make highly skilled, very dangerous work look easy. We can’t thank each one enough for everything they did for us for the benefit of our trees and our safety. Professional in every way, from courtesy and respect to expertise in their line of work, including Deborah in the office, attention is given to every detail, and more is given than expected to complete the job. They work so well in harmony with each other providing safety and efficiency at its best. We would recommend this wonderful team of genuinely warm, courteous people to anyone who needs tree service and won’t settle for anything less than the very best. Central Texas Tree Service completely transformed our property. Service in the name of this company is most appropriate!

Lawson with Central Texas Tree Service is the best -- extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He's there to educate and give his best advice and his top priorities. I've had him look at two different properties and in both cases the tips he's provided far exceeded my expectations. It's hard to find guys like Lawson nowadays.

I will continue to use Central Texas Tree Service and recommend Lawson to everyone I can!

Lawson and his crew are so professional! They work hard and the work is exceptional! We will definitely call them again when we need any tree work done.

We highly recommend Texas Tree Service for any job, large or small. Lawson Eddy and his team did an outstanding job pruning a large variety of trees at our home over a period of two days. The entire team arrived early and worked late to complete a huge project. Often working in the rain, they did a terrific job. Importantly, some of our one-hundred year old oak trees were declining because less valued trees and cedars were inhibiting growth. Lawson helped to select the right trees for pruning and made recommendations on how specific trees could be pruned to enhance aesthetics. We previously used a different tree service for pruning needs. We should have called Lawson Eddy first!

I couldn't be more impressed with Central Texas Tree Service! From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. Their team took the time to assess the work needed and explained everything clearly, showing their expertise in tree care.

What stood out the most was how respectful they were of my property—they worked efficiently, left no mess behind, and made sure everything was handled with care. It’s rare to find a company that combines skill, professionalism, and great customer service, but they truly do.

Our experience with Central Texas Tree Service was excellent from start to finish. Lawson was very thorough during the estimate process and spent a lot of time with us to determine the scope of the work as we have a lot of trees on our property. He sent a crew of 5 to 6 out to our home. All were personable, easy to communicate with, came ready to work, and were meticulous with clean up. I didn't have time to compare pricing with other companies, but from past experience I would say Central Tree Service is on the higher end of the scale, but I felt the level of service provided was also on the higher end of the scale. We are very pleased we chose Central Texas Tree Service to take care of our tree trimming, tree removal and stump grinding needs.

Most polite, kind, careful crew ever! Also had a big chipper! I gained 3/4 cord of firewood to boot as they thinned out the Oak trees. They cleaned up all debris and limbs. Even used a powerful blower to clear out loose limbs and leaves from the ground. I went with this company because of the amazing Office Manager and Christ-loving company/crew. At my request, they even put back all my potted plants that they had moved to safety from falling tree limbs. They worked long & hard from 9AM-7PM. I had about 30-35 whopper oak trees. All the ball moss was removed, dead limbs, & tree cuts painted to prevent Oak Wilt. The trees now have an opened up canopy to allow sun in plus they removed the tree limbs AWAY from my roof. Had them remove some crepe myrtles as well that were not doing well and some red photinias that had not been trimmed or hedged like bushes but were left to grow upward like trees. Highly reccommend Central Texas Tree Service.

Wonderful team of people to work with. Great communication with Deborah in the office to Lawson and his crew. They are punctual, professional and clean up like they were never there. They may not be the cheapest but their prices are very fair and it shows in the work they do. If you want your trees cared for and done right Central Texas is the way to go.

We were so pleased with Central Tree Service! Deborah was so easy to work with and schedule things. Then the folks that came out to quote the job were so knowledgeable and provided great information. They came out and did the job and were professional across the board. Everything was cleaned up and carted away. We will use this company moving forward and recommend them for your tree services.

This is my second time with Central Texas Tree Service. Just look at the reviews and you will never call or hire another tree company….that’s how good they are. This company is knowledgeable, professional, punctual, courtesy, personable and reasonable. And it all starts with the owner, Lawson. I want to thank him, Deborah, Brandon and the crew for another excellent job. I highly recommend this company.

The crew did a great job and they were so fast and efficient the job was done faster than anticipated and was given a refund. What a great company that cares about their customers. Definitely will use them again. You can't go wrong with this company.

We had an overgrown oak tree full of moss and spoke with numerous companies for advice. It wasn’t until Lawson came out that we realized we had not only found a true professional company, but also someone with extensive knowledge about how to properly care for our tree. Lawson, an Arborist, took the time to share his experience, explain every step, and guide us on the right path to preserve it. What impressed us even more was learning that this isn’t just a job for him—it’s a passion and a career passed down from his father. You can truly feel the pride and dedication in the way he talks about his work. My husband and I cannot express enough how wonderful this company has been—from scheduling the appointment with Deborah to the follow-up!!

We were concerned about our trees and wanted a professional opinion from an arborist. We met with Lawson at the property. He is very knowledgeable & professional. He was there every step of the way to assist his team with trimming our trees. His team was also very professional & courteous. We highly recommend Central Tree Service. They did an amazing job!

We live out in the hill country and so many times when we call someone to bid a job, they just never show. That was not the case with Lawson and Central Texas Tree Service. He showed up on time and gave us a bid for a day’s work due to how many trees we needed to have removed (plus stump grinding). Deborah, their office manager, was friendly and communicative. It was very helpful that she was available by text because my cell coverage is so spotty.

Brandon, Scotty, Caleb and the rest of the team arrived around 10 and worked until after 6pm. We had about 50 dead or dying live oaks removed. They also pruned the trees we decided to keep (sealing the cuts), dug three holes so we can plant some peach trees, and cut up some huge branches that fell from our 200 year-old oaks during Uri.

They cut all the trees into usable logs and stacked them neatly. The brush was raked away and then they used a tractor and claw to move it all to our burn pile.

We are very satisfied with the result and will use them again in the future.

This company was trimming trees at a neighbor's house. I approached Lawson and asked him to take a look at my trees. Within a few hours my trees were looking better than ever. I highly recommend Central Texas Tree Service. Lawson is an actual Arborist and he cares about his work.

We've been using Central Texas Tree Service every year since 2018, and we wouldn’t trust anyone else with our trees. Over the years, our trees have never looked better — healthy, beautifully shaped, and thriving. You can tell right away that this team genuinely cares about what they do. The owner is a professional arborist who clearly loves trees, and that passion shows in the quality of work and attention to detail from both him and his crew.
The customer service is hands-down the best you’ll ever experience — responsive, professional, and always a pleasure to work with. On top of all that, the pricing is very reasonable for the level of expertise and care you receive. Appointments can book out, but it’s 100% worth the wait.
If you're looking for reliable, expert tree care in Texas, this is the team to call.

I can’t say enough great things about Lawson Eddy with Central Texas Tree Service. From the moment he arrived, it was clear we were dealing with someone who truly knows and loves what he does. Lawson’s knowledge of trees — especially how to properly assess and treat them when they’re stressed or sick — is absolutely top-notch. He follows protocols that align with Texas A&M’s standards for tree care, which gave me total confidence that our trees were in the best hands.

What really stood out to me, though, was learning that Lawson has been a tree enthusiast since he was a little boy, tagging along with his father, who was also a local tree expert. His passion for trees runs deep, and you can feel that in the way he talks about them and cares for them. Knowing that this is not just a job but a lifelong calling for him only strengthened my trust in his advice and recommendations.

Without a doubt the best tree service I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with!

The two trees in my front yard were overgrown and in serious need of a trimming. They showed up exactly when they said they were going to, did exactly what they said they were going to do, and the price was exactly what they said it would be (extremely fair and reasonable).

My trees look phenomenal, they cleaned up all the brush/debris, they were professional, courteous, and did beautiful work in a very timely manner (2 hours!).

If you're in need of a tree service look no further because this company is the absolute best!

I recently had a very large tree that was against my house. After reaching out to three other services in the area, I was impressed with the customer service I received from Central Texas Tree Service. Deborah was so kind and helpful, keeping me notified every step of the way. Lawson is extremely knowledgeable and was honest, keeping every commitment he made. Brandon and the crew were skilled professionals who saw the job to completion. From the estimate to the end of the job, they did it all beyond my expectations. Highest possible recommendation.

Central Texas Tree Service came out, walked our property sharing insights into our trees, their health, and how to improve them and their aesthetics. Job was completed on time, the crew was friendly, and some how they left no mess after trimming nearly 100 trees on our 2 acre lot. Lawson is a true arborist, not just someone coming to trim your trees. If you're truly invested in a property it's a no brainer to have Lawson and crew come out and do the job for you. There's a reason why the reviews are so high!

Lawson was quick to respond and very knowledgeable about our unique trees, with a competitive quote. He loves what he does and loves trees!! He was actually excited to work on our Bradford Pear tree! If you want your trees (ANY type!) to look their very best, Lawson is your guy!
