⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a Realtor, working with Riverside Homebuilders on a home purchase in Oak Valley, Texas, has been an absolute pleasure!**

I recently represented a home buyer in a transaction with Riverside Homebuilders, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their professionalism and dedication. Kevin and Jacquelyn were both incredibly responsive, ensuring that my clients’ needs were met at every stage of the process. The quality of craftsmanship in the home is outstanding, and every detail was handled with care and precision. Riverside Homebuilders went above and beyond to deliver a beautiful, well-constructed home in Oak Valley that my clients are thrilled with. My wife & I started looking at the Riverside development in New Fairview a couple of years ago as we started thinking about down-sizing. While we liked what we saw, it was too far west from our families in Justin, Ponder & Davis, OK.
Late fall last year - we decided to execute the sale of our current home and find one that suited our requirements. We started exploring developments in Denton county and found the Rocky Top subdivision and, after our visit with Amanda (Sales Manager), we stopped looking at other developments.

Working with Amanda, Cassy & Christina has been great! Although the home was substantially complete when we executed the contract, Amanda worked with us on some options for the range top & carpet.

As to the post-close process, all "punch list" are addressed effectively. And during the awful freeze we had the fist week after we moved in, Jared (our building manager) was so very helpful making in making sure we ready for it!

All that said, we ABSOLUTELY love our new home & very happy with our Riverside experience!!

I have worked with many builders during my real estate career & rarely do I get the pleasure of leaving a positive review. Working with riverside has been a great experience. Everyone we worked with was extremely polite, patient, understanding, but first and foremost, had my clients best interest at heart. You can’t say that about many builders.

I’d be more than happy to work with them again, and look forward to when that time comes.

The entire process, from the initial showing with my client to closing, this was such a quick and positive experience. Sylvia Caprio, the sales rep with Riverside, is simply THE BEST! She walked us through everything regarding the home. From how it was built right down to the pest control easy access, she knew everything and was able to answer any questions we had. The preferred lender, Barry Wolzen with American Bank & Trust and Leah Paty with Trinity Title took us over the finish line in record time. This was by far the easiest transaction I have ever had. Thank you Riverside!

Steve was fantastic to work with at Morningside and made the entire process very easy. It was very tight timelines but they made it happen and I appreciate that!

We live in the Morningstar community and really like the neighborhood, but our experience with Riverside Home Builders has been disappointing.

After repeated requests, Riverside declined to properly repair multiple construction defects in our home. This includes a ~12-foot span of loose tile across two first-floor hallways. Riverside proposed a lower-cost repair that does not meet industry standards, and a slab crack aligned with the loose tile is visible when adjacent carpet is removed.

    Additional unresolved issues include:

Drainage defects causing standing water after rainfall and routine sprinkler use

Water-damaged sheetrock following a roof leak that was repaired, but never fully remediated or repainted

A crack in the tile at the corner of the master shower, raising concerns about moisture intrusion

These issues were reported over an extended period without adequate resolution, which ultimately required us to file a Residential Construction Liability Act (RCLA) notice on October 22, 2025.

We are sharing our experience so other prospective buyers can make informed decisions.

    Response to Riverside Homes.

After filing the Residential Construction Liability Act (RCLA) notice on October 22, 2025, I again allowed a Riverside-authorized inspector access to my home for inspection on December 5, 2025.

Since that visit, I have not received any follow-up communication or proposal from Riverside regarding repair or remediation of the reported defects.

This update is provided to clarify the current status following Riverside’s response to my review. We are sharing our experience so prospective buyers can make informed decisions.

Graeme Robertson is the man! I've sold a few homes in Northstar. My clients and I couldn't have been happier with the product & the process. The quality, follow up & promptness have made for some great transactions! Thanks again to Graeme and Riverside!

I had a great experience with Arliah at Riverside Homebuilders. She was honest, explained everything in great detail, and was a pleasure to be around. I ultimately decided to buy a home somewhere else, but the primary reason was that I preferred a different location.

Ultimately Riverside is a cheap, sloppy builder who wants to pretend they’re a better builder than they are. First, you’re not allowed to pick the floor plan you want on each lot, it’s predetermined. The finishes you get to pick from are very limited options and cheap options. They don’t offer many options that other builders do.

Then during your build, you don’t get any contact with the builder, you have to go through the sales assistant to ask any questions and get any issues addressed. Very awful line of communications that results in delayed responses and a game of telephone.

Riverside finishes are CHEAP. Shower surround is the flimsiest, thinnest thing I’ve ever seen. They use the absolute cheapest doors, hinges, wood and cabinets they can find. You should hear the sound the hardware makes when I open and close my bathroom drawers. I have cabinet doors that have no paint along the inside edge. I give it two years before we have to replace many many things that will fall apart.

Lastly, but most importantly, I have never seen such sloppy and lazy trim work in my entire life. Like I’m absolutely flabbergasted that this is their standard and the finished product they’re happy with. The trim work around our doors is AWFUL; caulk everywhere, streaks, gouges and scrapes in the wood that they just painted over. They don’t bother trying to fill nails holes with caulk, they just paint over it. The baseboards are pockmarked with nail holes. Pieces of wood that meet up (baseboard to baseboard or baseboard to trim) are not even, then they just coat it in caulk and paint over it like it’s not noticeable what a DISGUSTING mess it is.
And once you close, it takes an act of god to get anything done. Currently waiting on a leaking toilet to be fixed, they forgot to put an outlet for our internet router, an oven that won’t work, a septic sprinkler that doesn’t turn, and on and on.

    Riverside Homebuilders are the best.
Ashley, Thurston, Jacquelyn, Clint...I know I'm missing someone, They are incredible. Personable, professional, warm, and knowledgeable.
The home is wonderfully built. Beautiful, elegant, sturdy and thoughtful.
The products are exactly what we wanted.
We fell in love with our home on the first walk through.

We had an incredible experience working with Riverside and the Community Manager, Graeme! He was super responsive, very respectful of me and my buyer and he was extremely instrumental in getting us to the closing table. I would highly recommend this builder if you are in the market to purchase a new home! Thank you Graeme!!

Valerie was beyond helpful! She made the buying process transparent and easy. Even after our purchase/move in we've been able to ask her questions and she is quick to help.

Kyle Powell and Desiree Baca have been our sales team that we got to meet in person and they have been great. They are friendly and knowledgeable and more than accommodating. The rest of the Riverside Homebuilder group that we have dealt with via email and phone calls have been equally friendly and easy to work with. The homes are beautiful. We can’t wait to move in!

UPDATE BELOW FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW- Our new home has been nothing but a nightmare with Riverside. Unmaintainable drainage easement on the side of our property that has water vast majority of the year. They regraded it once but the rain very quickly washed the grade away.

Recently discovered they did not use caulking on the top of our exterior windows so water has leaked into the house. Pictures will speak for themselves.

    *UPDATE*
Riverside came and fixed the caulking, nice surprise there.

Drainage continues to be an issue, updated with current pictures. Completely unable to maintain it. Just becomes a mosquito paradise.

Working with Riverside Homebuilders has been a fantastic experience! Amanda at the Rocky Top community in Krum has been nothing short of amazing—knowledgeable, kind, and always willing to help. From the builder to the lender and everyone in between, the entire team has been responsive, professional, and supportive every step of the way. The quality of their homes is top-notch, and so is their customer service. I highly recommend Riverside to anyone looking for a beautiful new home and a great homebuying experience!

We had an outstanding purchasing experience with Bryan at Riverside. He’s informative, kind and easy to talk to. He checked in with us and answered all of our questions. Our builder was also great during the buying process. We love all the features the home has and our neighbors are down to earth & welcoming.

Update: We’ve been through our first rain day. Not good. The drainage was not mitigated from our neighbors properties. Water runs down from our neighbors yard through our backyard to our neighbors yard and floods his yard. The builder should have mitigated this before putting these homes up for sale. We’re all frustrated and upset.

Second update: We were told not to move or add any dirt until the warranty guy came out and looked at it. He came out today and told us we need gutters & that Riverside wouldn’t take care of anything past the home. Our $440,000.00 home now has a project that will cost us approximately $200,000.00. My husband is a disabled Vet and is very upset. Sadly, the acre we purchased has a river/ditch that runs through it. We are not happy. We are unsatisfied and do not recommend Riverside.

Great experience for buying our house!
Ms Lytle was very knowledgeable, speedy in replying to text and email traffic, and a pleasure to work with. The neighborhood was right where we were wanting, houses nice and reasonably priced and working with the team was great!

We love our home, Riverside builders and our community! The team did an amazing job on keeping us update on everything! They made this process easy for us, we had an issue with our buyers on our old house and Riverside did everything they could if not more to make sure we were able to move into our new home! We started out with Stacy and Meghan then Nikki came along but it didn’t matter who we were dealing with because they were all knowledgeable about their job! When it was time to do our final walkthrough with James he made sure that all of the things that needed to be fixed got done. He went through and spotted some things that we didn’t see and instead of brushing it off he marked with the blue tape to make sure it was fixed. Riverside is the builders you want to build your home! They don’t cut corners and you can tell!
