Wow! This place is amazing and the gentleman who helped us through our appointment was so kind and knowledgeable. I went in with no idea what type of maple we wanted- just the location we'd be putting it in and my desire for it to end up tree-shaped and be hardy enough to survive my inexperience. He gave us options and the details of each and helped us make an informed decision. He even helped us figure out what was wrong with the maple we had planted by a landscaper a few years ago and how to help it get better. Being there and seeing all the different types of maples felt like a trip to a secret forest. Sounds silly, but it really is amazing to walk through the shade canopy of the huge trees and see all the different shapes and colors of the smaller trees below. Was definitely worth the drive across the metroplex for us.

Need a Japanese maple? This is the place. Huge variety, knowledgeable, super helpful, and local. Have their own special varieties and know what works in our area.

This place is a GEM!!!!! After I arrived, I didn’t want to leave. If you are interested in getting incredibly beautiful Japanese Maples or Gingko trees, for a reasonable price, go here!! I’m so thankful that I found this place. The owner Scott and Steve who helped us were extremely personable and informative. We purchased a rare and gorgeous 3 foot Amagi Shigure which will only grow to be 6 feet tall and will fit below our roof line perfectly. But the best part about this tree... the stunning 3 season colors. I couldn’t find a Maple like this available ANYWHERE else! The inventory online showed that there was only a 1 gallon size available but Scott, the owner offered us a larger one from the growing area and Steve sent us home with some of their pine bark compost and detailed instructions to help us plant our tree. I can’t recommend this place more highly. We’re already eager to purchase our next Maple here. There are so many options to choose from. Their selection is VAST. I can’t find anywhere else that has a selection quite like this. If you want a great source for Japanese Maples, look no further.

My favorite place! So many beautiful trees at all stages of life available. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and happy to share what would make a maple thrive in your yard. They won’t just sell you on something that won’t be successful. It’s such a magical place!

Very friendly and super knowledgeable staff. And the place is gorgeous!!

Highly knowledgeable. Best selection in the metroplex. Their online inventory wasn't updated, they actually had a lot more in stock than was listed on the webpage.

This place was super cool with lots of great trees and the woman that we worked with was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was pretty expensive, but my guess is that their prices are competitive and Japanese maples are just expensive. My wife loves her new Inaba Shidare and I’ll be going back when they get another shipment in to look at some Mikawa Yatsubusa.

Ari helped my mom and I find 4 perfect maples for both of our houses! The selection is crazy- so much more than in big box stores. All colors, sizes, shapes... and an easy pricing system for the smaller maples.

Great selection of Japanese maples for great price. Highly recommended to do research before hand and look over their inventory online which they update on a regular basis. Once you are there, you can actually see the big Japanese maples on display and see if that's what you like. Best to come in November or late March to see all the colors. Highly recommended this place.

Metro Maples is our go-to place for Japanese maples. We found it five years ago. We have purchased over 10 Japanese maples and they are growing steadily. And did we mention how courteous and knowledgeable the staff is? Scott also provided us with guidance on when and how to successfully transplant mature maples. We have thus successfully moved two of our maples.

If you are looking for rare species of maples they have them.... This place is amazing. Scott and Ray helped me out and are the most knowledgeable and are ready to answer any questions you have. The young lady there as well i didn't get her name. But everyone know every single type of species of tree. They also have tridents which is hard to fine. This place looks awesome now, i cant imagine how it looks in the spring time. Will be returning to see that for sure....
Prices starting from $25 all the way up. This place is paradise for bonsai enthusiast -
We really enjoyed our visit here! Ariel helped us out and had a wealth of knowledge! We love our new Japanese Maples. The kids loved the shade and koi pond, they almost didn't want to leave.

Truly my all-time favorite nursery. I traveled through three states to get to this nursery as they have one best Japanese Maple selections around. While Texas is not the most likely place to find a Japanese Maple nursery, Metro Maples is in a very heavily shaded area. They offer such a great variety and really good prices. The Fire Dragon and Super Dragon are very unique specimens. You’ll be hard pressed to find them anywhere else in the country. Plus, the nursery staff are super friendly and helpful. I appreciate all that they did to help load my trees and prepare them for my long voyage home. The trees are planted now, and they look great! Thanks Metro Maples!!!

I do really like this place a lot. It is SO tranquil and peaceful; almost like a Japanese garden. I love looking at all their varieties, especially in the spring when the trees have put out their new growth and they're nice and colorful. They have a koi pond that is lovely. I do wish they had more variety in sizes. Most seem to go from the $20-$30 range to the $100+ range, rather than having options in between. For the most part, 1 and 2 gallons are pretty small. I've seen other places sell 1 gallons triple the size for the same price, BUT it's a wonderful local option. The staff are super knowledgeable, and I enjoy talking with all of them. They're very passionate about the trees and it makes the experience all the better.

This is the best place to buy trees in DFW and possibly the country. Great selection, knowledgeable staff, fair prices, and gorgeous maples! Can’t wait for them to grow.
