Allen was very thorough and informative of current and potentially future issues.

I previously used another company for years but they closed. I found Castle online and couldn’t be more happy. They are my new HVAC folks for any need. I had a problem that Joshua was able to diagnose, get covered by warranty and fix it within 24 hours. Polite, friendly and professional. Their pricing was fair, accurate and exactly as described. You can’t go wrong with them.

Allen was great during the service call, and again during installation of new parts. Much better service than using one of the companies that constantly advertise and try to up sell on things. Will be using again in the future.
-
Great workmanship and work provided. Very conservative with existing issue. Would hire again and refer.

Great service! Allen was great. Very professional and friendly. He explained everything in details and executed the job with care.

Was referred to Castle A/C from a friend. Hard to trust a lot of Hvac companies these days. This was a good referral. Josh, who owns the company was honest and fair with me. I will be using Castle again in the future when needed.

We love Caste! After 25 years of military service and constant moving, we never had to worry about long-term care of our HVAC. It’s easy with Castle. Great service at a good price. Allen is the best tech we’ve ever had. Thanks!

Stay away from these guys, they are either incompetent or crooks and my guess is the latter. Receipt is attached for support. Here is my story. My AC suddenly stopped cooling; I called these guys. The owner, Josh showed up, stayed about an hour, mostly putting in refrigerant in my AC as he saw it was low. He never checked for a leak. He only stated its probably a leak and hopefully its a slow leak. He charged me $130 per pound for 410A. Look up what the market installed price is for this refrigerant, you'll see its about $50-$80. So one, he gouged me on refrigerant. He was at my house about an hour and charged me $1200 to just put in refrigerant, again he never looked for a leak. 2 days later, my AC stops cooling again. I call 2 different AC guys told them what happened to the first one. They both had an astonishing reaction at the price her charged per pound. They also both found a major leak within 10 min. of being at my house. So basically, I paid these guys $1200 for a day of cool air and no real solution, only to have to pay another $1500 to another company to actually fix the leak. I had these guys come back out to my house, this time Allen, they quoted me over 4K to fix the problem and a $360 discount on the original $1200 I paid. Attached is the receipt, I can also attach the quotes. These guys are crooks. They are paying for reviews on google so you think they are good, that's why they respond immediately to bad reviews. STAY AWAY for your benefit, I have no gain in telling the truth about my experience with these crooks. I found an honest company that will actually fix my leak with refrigerant for 1500 for what they want to charge me another 4K for. CROOKS.

Expert, courteous service that I can trust to do future HVAC services. I learned a lot just listening to the technician.

I've been doing business with Castle since 1987. Always consistent, top-notch workmanship and customer service. A shout-out to Allen who has been the AC/furnace tech who has kept my house at 73 degrees for a lot of years! Thank you, Allen! Thank you, Castle AC & Heating!

We had a complex problem with our AC, multiple failures indoors and outdoors. Joshua from Castle was very knowledgeable and diligent and managed to track down all the root causes of our issues. In addition, he taught me a lot about AC systems. Two thumbs up!!

I came to Castle Air Conditioning with high expectations—after all, they boast excellent ratings and I’d received a glowing personal recommendation from my neighbor. At first, everything looked promising: communication was clear and professional, from the technician (who was servicing my neighbor’s unit) to the receptionist and even the owner. I signed on for a semi annual maintenance plan and scheduled service for one of my outdoor units. We set an appointment for later that week, with a two hour arrival window between 8 AM and 10 AM. I stated a time closer to 9 AM would be safer for me and the owner assured me that’s when they’ll be there.
I took time off work to and messaged at 8:00 AM to let them know I was available sooner than anticipated. I heard nothing back. As the appointment window closed, I reached out again—only to receive a reply nearly 30 minutes later. The owner informed me that the company vehicle was still at the mechanic, they needed to drive it home, and wouldn’t arrive at my place for another hour. At no point was there an apology for missing the appointment or for the lack of communication.
I understand that delays happen, but clear communication and a simple apology would’ve gone a long way. 1 star added for the pre appointment communication and the informative in person chat with the technician. -
Mater technician were able to troubleshoot my issue, replace parts and get us cool and comfortable at an reasonable price. They found the issue fast but dug deeper to get to the root of the issue. Past companies would have stopped at just fixing the issue without getting to the cause, resulting in more calls and high cost. 10/10 I would recommend

Allen came out and was amazing. He identified issues early and fixed quickly. He made the efforts to check all potential issues and future concerns.

Josh was awesome. He was prompt, professional and made himself available same day (on a Sunday!) to fix our A/C. His dedication to the client’s experience was evident from the first phone call. We will definitely use Josh again and recommend him to others! Thanks again, Josh!

Seemed responsive, knowledgeable, honest and straightforward. Allen came and worked with our needs. My friends shared prices they were charged to have similar work done with other hvac companies and we found Castle to be within the same range. We will likely use their services again.

Castle Air Conditioning & Heating has worked with me a few different times, and I couldn't be happier. From the owner down this organization is professional, flexible, and THEY DO WHAT THEY COMMIT TO! Will always recommend!

Overpriced. I bid six companies to replace three hvac systems, including other Am Standard and Trane dealers. Each company provided "good-better-best" bids which allowed me to attempt apples/apples comparison. Castle bids came in much higher (30%) than my others.

This is an edited review as I initially gave Castle Air a better review.
Castle installed a large, variable speed system in my home around September of 24. Josh came out and gave an estimate. He seemed great in the beginning, being very helpful and responsive. System was installed without any major hick-ups (however definitely far from perfect as we'll soon see). Keep in mind the initial install was September so the system wasn't used much until the summer of 2025.
In the beginning of the summer, I did a quick inspection of the system and noticed a lot of condensation at various parts around the system. Definitely more than normal - I've had about 6 complete units installed in my period of homeownership so I know what they should look like. Called Josh and his office a couple times to get the issue fixed. After a bit of wait, Josh came out and looked at the system and agreed the plenum was incorrectly installed. NOTE: IT HAD AN APPROXIMATE 1 INCH GAP BETWEEN IT, THE PLENUM AND THE CONDENSER COILS - HENCE WHY IT WAS LEAKING). The install team had simply taped over the gap to hide it. WOW.
OK the company agreed to fix it so no problem - I can get past the poor initial instillation. A few days later, the team comes out to install the replacement plenum and make a few system setting adjustments. I let the system run as normal for about a day to dry the mastic and make sure all was well before checking on things.
Now is where the problems really start. As soon as I take a look at the system, I knew there was a problem. There were pools of condensation all over the unit. Mastic running down the plenum EVERYWHERE. Dripping onto the floor/ceiling below and pooling. ALSO noticed instead of a large bump on the side of the condenser to plenum (where the 1 inch gap was previously) I now noticed the large bump on the bottom of the unit. THEY INSTALLED THE SAME PLENUM AND JUST ROTATED IT TO BETTER HIDE THE MISALIGNMENT. AGAIN, WOW!! Most, if not all, of the ducts coming out of the plenum were wet with condensation and pools of water around them.
Again, called Josh and the office to fix this. After several days of trying to get a hold of him, he called/answered my text messages saying he'll make it right. Waited a couple more days to try to contact him again as to when the problems would be repaired and this time, NO REPLY from then on. Tried a few more times to contact with zero returned calls/messages.
At the end of the day. I had to hire another A/C company (adding to the cost of an already very expensive system) to come out and fix the problems Josh and Castle Air created. The other company knew right away the many problems and fixes for the poor instillation by Castle. The new company had to completely replace the plenum, reinstall all the ducts and fix many of the system's settings that were just left on default. Only after the other company repaired Castle Air's mistakes is the system 100% functional and leak free.
Moral of the story for others - STAY AWAY FROM CASTLE AIR! While you might get good service before you work is complete, once they have your money, you'll be left on your own to repair the problems that Castle Air created with a poorly installed unit. -
I have been using Castle off and on for many years now here in Houston and I only have positive experiences and would highly recommend them to anyone! They are honest and that really says it all! Thank you to Allen who came out to do the actual work this time around!
