Technician Jeremy Henry was the technician dispatched. We had contacted them on the 30th and thought that we would be going through the 4th of July weekend without A/C, we were wrong. Jeremy was early, stayed in communications as to the time schedule he was keeping, and did an excellent job. It was a "simple fix" as he stated but coming from the service world myself it isn't about the complexity of the repair it is about the skill of the technician to identify the issue. I would recommend these folks highly and if he is available ask for Jeremy. You will be thankful that you did.

If I could give this company a negative score I would. Warning to American Home Shield Customers, if you have an old unit, be prepared not to have it replaced. My journey with A USA Air and AHS started July 1, 2025 when a 30+ year old unit was cycling on and off. A rep from their company did a few things, took my water hose and sprayed the outside unit, removed a capacitor and that did not work. My unit would work one day and then blow hot air the next. This went on the entire month of July which was very hot, it finally quit the last week of July. I went many days in July without air. Their rep came out 4 times, he told me that his company will do anything not to have a claim to pay out for a new AC unit given they get a lot of business with AHS and did not want to have high claims, so the 2 companies work together to avoid a payout for an old unit. They used the excuse after the 4th time that the fins were bent on the 30+ year of unit, it was this way when we bought the house 20 years ago. They wanted 650.00 to repair the fins but with the compressor out I don’t know how that would have made it work. Two years ago a rep from their company placed a hard start on the outside unit and said nothing about the fins and said if it goes out I will get you a new unit, but of course he is no longer with the company. With all of this to say, this company cares nothing about the AHS customer, did not care the temps reached over 100 degrees. I had to get a 2nd opinion and this company immediately said it is cycling out and you need a new unit. Said nothing about the fins on the outside unit. Just yesterday, August 21, 2025 I finally reached a cash out from AHS which was hardly nothing. I hope the owners and that rep from A USA Air slept well during the high temps in July and August. We had to purchase a window unit and place fans around the house in order to stay in the home. In addition, AHS told me in order for it to be an emergency for them to call someone out it has to be your only source of air which it was and their guidelines were it had to be 105 degrees in your town and they look up your weather forecast to confirm. I am not kidding you, I had to ask for someone else and they helped, but I was told that twice and it does not state that in the contract. Please think twice before you use this company and AHS for any of your AC needs. If you are in the Paris, TX area, use Economy AC, they were very helpful getting this resolved. I hope to have something installed soon. In addition, I am planning to report this company to the BBB and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

I do not normally write reviews, but Lyle did a great job diagnosing and my repairing my Air Conditioner. I had my AC serviced by another company about two weeks ago because I had a blank screen. Unfortunately, screen went out again so I called AHS, my home warranty to get it fixed. I was very skeptical with this company because of the bad reviews but Lyle, the technician, was very professional and knowledgeable and found what the issue in less then 15 min. In 30 minutes my unit was repaired, diagnosed and defective part replaced. I am very pleased with the service. Thanks Lyle, keep up the good work.
