I’m a home builder of multi million dollar homes in ATX. James Cox has been my electrician for over 14 years. Cox Electrical is by far the best electrical company in Central Texas. I trust James and his crew will complete my jobs to the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

I've used Cox Electric three times now (2 residential, 1 commercial). I can not recommend them enough. James and his crew do great work and are fast. Best part as a new business owner is no sticker shock. Did exactly what I needed nothing extra. Actually saved me money by suggesting not installing as many lights because it would be overkill for the space, but said he would do it if I really wanted that many. I went with his recommendation and it turned out great!
Anything electrical I need done in the future they will be my first call, and they should be yours too.

I was convinced the electrical problem with my water well was going to be costly but after checking numerous problem areas Cox electricians found that it wasn't as bad as anticipated and less costly. They arrived within several hours after I called, very professional, cleaned up when finished and the office called afterwards to make sure all had gone well. Great Service from Cox Electric today. I called yesterday, they were out just after noon today to fix a couple lights in my kitchen out. There wasn't a fee for just showing up to the door. Quoted me a flat rate on the phone and stuck to that rate. Had the issue fixed quickly and efficiently. I'll be using them for any other electric needs in the future.

The crew from Cox Electric showed up precisely at the scheduled time. They were quick and efficient to complete the initial wiring. Once the electrical inspection takes place, they will return to install the two exterior light fixtures which will totally complete this project.

Follow up- After the electrical inspection took place, Cox dispatched an electrician to install the fixtures. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. This project is now completed. I recommend that Cox Electric is included on any bids for electrical work as they did a good job for me.

I use Cox Electric on all of my Fulmer Home Improvement jobs. They are extremely professional, do a first class job, and are priced fairly. I highly recommend them.

On time and exceptional customer service. Had recessed lights put into my living room. They were very detailed and asked me many questions to make sure I was comfortable with the look of things before proceeding. Once done, they cleaned up well and asked again if there was anything I needed. I wanted dimmers installed and they got all their equipment out again to fulfill my request. They will be my first call for my next project.

My house was struck by lighting and the team at Cox did their best to keep me informed and abreast of a tricky situation. I appreciated their electricians' knowledge and patience with me as I followed him around and asked 1000 questions as he tried to work. Usually not one to do so but I had no idea what questions to even ask, and he wad MORE than helpful. They installed the lights that blew out and even offered to clean the drywall crumbs from installation. Couldn't ask for a better service.

James and team did a great job upgrading our service line to 200A and replacing the exterior panel. They coordinated with both the city and utility to handle all permitting and inspections. They showed up on time and completed the work efficiently. Would certainly recommend them.

Requested a quote to install a 50amp generator inlet and breaker interlock for my home for power outages. Received a response from Lois the next day I believe, told me to send an email with info and pictures to James. Has been a week and no response! Went with another electric company and they already got the job done. This is not how business should be done by not responding to potential customers!

Updated: Then that should be explained to the potential customer by the person that gave the initial instructions by text or automatic reply when email sent with all information requested. This would avoid a potential customer thinking they are being ignored and a bad review for your company!

I highly recommend Cox Electrical Services. From start to finish they provided excellent customer service. I needed same day service and called several companies who told me to be able to come out same day, I would have to pay an extra emergency fee. I called Cox and was told they could come same day and there would be no extra fee- just their standard fee which was very affordable and fair. They told me the techs would be by between 12-4pm. They were prompt and showed up at 2:00pm. The techs were kind, courteous and dealt with my barking dogs! They found the problem quickly and were able to fix it even quicker. Again, a seamless process from start to finish. We will definitely be reaching out to them in the future should he need any additional work done! Great Job! 👏🏼

The guys arrived in the time frame they scheduled. They were very friendly, careful, and did clean work. After the crew left, I had a (user error) issue with the power to my dryer, so I called and explained the issue. They quickly scheduled another technician to come out and take a look. Turned out my dryer vent was shorting the dryer causing the breaker to flip. The technician explained why the breaker was flipping, and explained what he did to correct the issue, free of any extra charge. He was very friendly, and the information he provided was easy to understand. Very good decision going with Cox Electric, and if I have any other electrical needs I will reach back out for the work. Wow...found out at 10 PM....main breaker 40 years old had broken one lead...only possible power were a few 115 volt outlets for lights and coffee in AM...emailed COX electric 11:00 PM by 8:15 AM there were looking over what was needed. Supply house... Pedernales Electric coordinating...back with supplies and by...2:30 PM both heat pumps going ....whole house electrical system up and going...woohoo what professional staff !!!!!!
