We have a new home and put in a warranty issue we had with an outlet. We received a call from C & B Electric stating that they would be out to repair the issue between 1 pm and 5 pm Monday afternoon. On Monday at 930 am the doorbell rang waking up my sleeping baby. When I went to the door the technician was standing there saying he was here to fix the outlet. I informed him that the appointment time was not supposed to have been till at least 1 pm, he told me that he had been across the street. I told him that although I understand that he may have just been working across the street, unfortunately the outlet he was to be working on was in one of my children’s rooms and he would have to come back at the original scheduled time as they were still asleep. He told me that he couldn’t come back at the scheduled time, he could only come back later in the afternoon around 5 pm. I told him that would be fine. Well at 1230 pm my camera captured him yet again at my door. I spoke with him through the camera asking him what was going on, He said he was here to fix the outlet. I informed him that I was not home, I had left to run errands since he told me he would not be back till 5pm. He then proceeds to tell me that he will have to have the office call me to reschedule. I said “why do I have to reschedule when I have clearly sheared to the schedule that was given to me, it’s not my fault that you have decided to make your own schedule.” He then said “ok, what time will you be back home?” I told him I would be home between 3 and 4 pm, he then said he would return then. So fast forward to 530 pm and ai have not heard from or seen the technician, nor received any phone call from their office. I called the company and the answering service answered; I gave them a short synopsis of what had taken place and asked if they could let me know what was going on. The answering service took down my information and said that they would have someone call me. About 40 mins or so later a supervisor called me back. As I explained the situation to him, he proceeded to tell me that it was my fault that I had “rejected” the technician at 930 am. Excuse me??? You’re damn right I “rejected” him, he showed up 3 and 1/2 hours before he was supposed to. We had an appointment at the time we did for a reason, my children are sleeping in the morning. I’m expected to keep appointments when I make them, why is it they can make their own schedule?? And for a technician to be. So flighty and then both him and a supervisor to have the audacity to attempt to blame the customer for their incompetence is just outrageous! Needless to say, I was angered and told them that I would no longer want them to come out to handle the issue and would find other means. I see, by the previous reviews that it seems there are several issues with this company, and if this is the way they choose to treat their customers then I see why. I would not recommend them at all, extremely flakey, rude, and unprofessional. I have no doubt they’ll come up with some nasty response attempting to resolve themselves if all accountability as they have with others on here, but, I have all of the interactions with them on video so the truth is quite clear. If this is the way they choose to run their business, I don’t foresee them staying around very long.

We have a new build that was wired by C&B Electric , so far our home has had hot wires that have been touching power wires in light switches causing the electricity to go out in my main bathroom and main bedroom. When I called to get a tech to come out, they wanted me to wait 2 weeks without power before one would come fix the issue.

Next issue I had was my dyer, my first one when plugged in to the 220v, errored and burned out and wouldn’t turn on. So I purchased a new one from Home Depot and had them come install it, as soon as they plugged the new dryer into the wall, it made a loud pop and burnt smell. We checked the breaker and it had popped the 220v breaker and it would not turn back on. So at this point we realized it was a problem with the 220v plug. I contacted C&B , they came out and checked the plug and sure enough it was wired incorrectly. That is highly dangerous. I asked C&B to reimburse me for my damaged dryer and they are taking no blame for it. This is also wrong. It’s clearly their faulty wiring job that damaged the dryer.

At this point I’m concerned for what else is wired wrong in my home.

Update- The 2 techs that have been sent out to work on the issues have done an excellent job correcting the problems with the electrical outlets.

After dealing with this company on a new build, I would highly recommend you avoid them at all costs.

Sean, the sales guy, was quite rude through the process. Among other things, he continuously reminded us that his time is more valuable than ours, which likely led to some of the real issues once we got into the house. His rudeness prevented him from talking with us to determine what we needed/wanted in our new home and discussing potential issues.

Our actual problems started when we moved into the house. The wiring that they have done is completely messed up in spots. We have light switches that don’t function, we have rooms that we enter in the dark with no ability to control the light, we have electrical outlets that we requested but were not installed, we had the house pre-wired for a generator but it was done incorrectly and had to be fixed when the generator was installed.

When trying to get the company to address any of these issues we have received excuse after excuse. Had Sean been willing to discuss this in more depth prior to construction then some of these issues could have been avoided. We would likely still have issues based on their quality of their work, but they would at least be easier to fix (i.e. cheaper to fix when I hire a competent company).

Poor communicaton skills. Very rude. When asked to explain the cause of the issue, tone was patronizing and condescending. Please work on good customer service. Disappointed.

Not happy with CB electric. We just moved in to a new build and paid extra for the entertainment package which apparently did not include an outlet behind the TV so I have the cable showing. I also have cables sticking out of the wall that I don’t know what to do with, when I asked the tech about it he didn’t really know what they were and there were no instructions. Lastly the package came with a door bell camera that is not working because I changed the my WiFi company, when I called them they said it would cost $130 for them to reconnect so I am changing to Ring door bell that is less of a headache. Overall CB Electric just not worth it.

Another in a long line of businesses that put trucks and their drivers absolutely dead freaking last . Starting with the lot, there's randomly scattered business owned vehicles and personal vehicles inter mixed and in the worst possible places to make any backing a nightmare then to my next point it's a blind side only for a 53 footer with vehicles in the way see photos, then there Is idiots in forklifts buzzing around like flies at a picnic... total trash!

C&B Electric was responsible for electrical work for our new construction home for Toll Brothers.

If C&B is responsible for your electrical work, I would highly recommend thoroughly checking everything after they are "done".

I'm in the process of replacing some light fixtures (few years after closing on our home) and I'm discovering tons of shoddy work. Today I discovered C&B included no breaker for the dining room and the breaker for the game room doesn't work at all.

Unfortunately I did not double-check their work prior to builder warranty running out (I'm a new home owner...frankly it's not something any homeowner would expect to have to do considering this is electricians entire job...). Unfortunately it seems like no accountability is common among trades lately. It makes me question whether anything has actually been done properly throughout my home, and I'll likely have to find a more reputable electrician to fix their work.
