I drive past this nursery everyday on my way to work and my husband and I finally stopped here to replace our tree in the front yard due to our HOA being crazy. We were immediately greeted by Scott and we bonded over Metallica and GVF. We let him know our situation and he passed on on to the AMAZING Sara B to show us around. She was incredibly knowledgeable and understanding of what our budget was. She helped us find an amazing Purple Plum that’s going to make everyone in the neighborhood jealous haha Green trees? No thank you. Purple. Be different. We came in not thinking we were getting a tree and just looking around. Left with more knowledge of trees, and found an amazing place to shop for future nature needs! They offer financing and that was really huge for us. I can’t recommend this place enough, great energy, great service and just a beautiful place. Speak to Sara! She’s the real MVP.

Sara at grapevine store is awesome. Gave me the replacement plant and a gallon of moon Juice to keep the plants healthy .

Just stopped by Moon Valley for the 1st time and had such an amazing experience!! Mario was super helpful along with the cashier that greeted me with top tier service both of them!! I could feel the energy in this place one of making sure you felt important and cared for as you made your purchase!!! I recommend coming here to buy any plant, they had a beautiful selection. Plants looked so healthy and vibrant!!!!

I had a very positive experience today. Chase is very knowledgeable and helpful. I hope the Grapevine, Texas location knows what an asset he is. He guided me in The right direction for a tree replacement. I was very satisfied with the outcome. We own a multimillion $ company and this is the type of person I would want to work customer service.

Sara was amazing! Right when we walked in she greeted us and got right to work with helping us. This location will be our go to location. It’s nice to have someone who you can work with hands on. And who gets you.

We love our trees! It was so nice having them come out, plant them right where I wanted. We were so happy we went back and we had them put in bushes in our flowerbed! I have an oak tree, peach tree, and an apple that are all thriving! We got some Texas sage, some roses, and abelia for the flower bed. Everything is looking great!

We called and spoke with Alyssa and scheduled an appointment.Alyssa was wonderful! When we arrived we worked with Adyson. He showed us a great selection of mature trees and he was fantastic to work with. We are very satisfied with our purchase!

Sara B assisted my husband and I with our landscaping project. Sara was awesome and provided exceptional customer service. She was knowledgeable and cognizant of our needs. She patiently answered our questions, made recommendations in consideration of our vision, and allowed flexibility. We are excited to see how well our project and Sara's design will turn out.

Cole put together an excellent plan for updating our flower beds. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all questions that I had about the job. He was very professional in the way that he went about explaining everything involved in the job. I would recommend him to any of my neighbors who want to upgrade their property after they see how beautiful my job looks upon completion. Thank you Cole!!

Cole helped me design the perfect backyard. He listened to my goals (perennial, easy, hardy, clean, etc.) and offered suggestions that fit all the criteria. He even introduced a tree that I hasn't heard of before but fit the bill perfectly! He was considerate and definitely knew plants. We opted to plant much of it on our own (minus the trees) to save money, but he gave me advice through text on my spacing. I truly believe Cole wanted us and the plants to be happy.

Excellent Experience at Moon Valley Nurseries – Highly Recommend Sara!

We recently visited Moon Valley Nurseries to explore options for a Magnolia tree, and we were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, the nursery was well-organized, clean, and filled with a wide variety of healthy, well-maintained trees.

Since I don’t have much knowledge about trees—especially which ones thrive in the Texas climate—we were fortunate to have Sara assist us. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. She gave us a complete tour of the nursery, explaining the different types of trees in detail, including their growth patterns, sunlight and watering needs, and what works best in our region.

One thing I found especially helpful is that they offer trees of various age ranges, from young saplings (0–3 years) to mature trees over 30 years old. It’s perfect for anyone who wants instant shade or a more established look in their yard.

Sara took the time to answer all of my questions about Magnolia trees and even educated me about other species that might complement them. Her passion for plants and landscaping really stood out, and it made a big difference in our decision-making process.

A few more things that stood out to me:
• The nursery is very well maintained, and all the trees looked incredibly healthy.
• Their team is professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do.
• There’s a wide selection of trees suited to different landscaping needs—whether you’re starting fresh or upgrading an existing garden.

I visited this nursery over the weekend. Without any knowledge of what I needed for both of my flowerbeds. My vision was simply to make an improvement to the “builder grade” plants that I currently have installed. Frantz, the lead designer, was so creative with how he patiently helped with the transformation. If anyone is interested in turning the appeal of their home into something extraordinary, contact this brilliant man.

Our yard was in desperate need of help. We have had a wonderful experience with designers Cy and Sara from the grapevine location. They were able to come up with a low maintenance landscape solution that I cannot wait to have installed later this month. They really know what thrives best in Texas, what will be easy for us to maintain, and what will best complement our home’s architecture. From the start I had a really great interaction with manager Alyssa who was able to give me an idea of the services moon valley nurseries offers and the designer were able to come out the next day to map everything out. Highly recommend!

A Plant-Lover’s Dream Experience with Sara Brennan!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Sara—she completely transformed my day! From the moment I walked into the store, her warmth and kindness set the tone. She didn’t just help me pick out plants; she shared her deep knowledge and passion in a way that made everything feel exciting and easy to understand.

Sara took the time to walk me through every detail—from how to care for each plant and tree to which soil conditioners and products would keep them thriving. She was patient, thorough, and genuinely invested in making sure I felt confident about my choices.

What really stood out was her joy—it’s clear she loves what she does, and that kind of energy is contagious. I left not only with beautiful plants but with a huge smile and a newfound confidence in caring for them.

If every shopping experience had a Sara Brennan, the world would be a much greener and happier place.

I went to Moon Valley because I wanted some mature trees and bushes to give us a bit more privacy, but I got so much more! I had a landscape design from another company and Cy and Madeline were wonderful in working with us to find all of the plants we wanted and swap others that have worked even better than what I envisioned. We got a great deal on them and they have the best guarantee in the business. And then Dylan and his wonderful crew were super courteous and professional. They did a beautiful job planting our bushes and trees! They had to come back one more time because they didn’t mulch a few bushes, which I hadn’t noticed originally because I was so happy with the initial transformation, and I didn’t realize how close two bushes were to each other, so they moved those two for me. The whole business at Grapevine went above and beyond to make sure we’re happy with our end product and they are super sweet on the phone, and just plain helpful and awesome (shoutout to Alana, Dakota and Richard… you made me smile and feel at ease when I called y’all every time). 😊 I highly recommend them!

Kind of disappointed for the amount I paid. I had some landscaping done by moon valley around January 2024. When the salespeople came out to give me a quote and ideas for plants, I was assure that everything would be hardy enough to withstand the freeze events we get during Jan-feb in north texas. Unfortunately shortly after the planting was done we got a huge freeze and nearly everything died. No big deal because they talked me into buying the insurance for a replant should anything happen. They replanted in early march 2024. Everything was fine up until this most recent cold snap we had a few weeks ago in feb 2025. Almost all my star jasmine and some shrubs died as a result and the century plant is looking pretty haggard. For $6000 I was expecting better results. I kept everything watered appropriately but the cold was too much. If I could do it all over again I would probably go with another company that keeps some kind of professional horticulturist on staff.

This is in addition to my original review from last year - still 5 star rating! I used Moon Valley for tree trimming and highly recommend them. Alana provided excellent communication and coordination. Brailyn and his team did an outstanding job trimming my trees - listening to my concerns and exceeding my expectations. While they were cleaning up the trimmings Brailyn trimmed my hedges - totally appreciated and unexpected. I have been very impressed with all the crews from Moon Valley. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Moon Valley. My experience started with a phone conversation with Nathan - I expressed my strong desire for more shade front and back as well as privacy for our backyard. Nathan and Andrew came to my home and listened to my requests and put together a plan. My husband and I visited the nursery and were both completely blown away by the incredible stock of trees and shrubs they had - one look at the Teddy Bear Magnolias and we were sold. We just thought we were hooked until we saw the available Live Oaks and Cedar Elm - it was difficult to choose because they were all magnificent. My experience improved even more when the planting crew led by Dane arrived! These gentlemen worked so hard and were all eager to make sure I was pleased with each planting - I was and am! They did meticulous work and left our yard very clean and orderly. The quality assurance manager followed up and I felt I had multiple channels to use if I needed assistance in any way. My yard has had an incredible make over and when our next brutal summer hits I’ll have a shady yard to help get through it. I am very happy with my entire experience with Moon Valley and highly recommend them!

We got helped by the nicest girl her name was Sara. She helped us with our yard at choosing plants. She’s so sweet and kind. next time we go back, we’re gonna ask for her. She told us what plants worked better with our watering system.

This store is such a gem! I was greeted by an associate named Adyson, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I wasn’t exactly sure what I needed when I walked in, but he asked a few thoughtful questions and gave me great guidance.

The whole experience was really enjoyable. I didn’t end up making a purchase yet—there were just so many great options that I wanted to go over them with my husband first. But I’ll definitely be coming back for my shrubs, and probably a tree or two! They also have some really cute decorations that were surprisingly affordable.

Moon Valley Nursery is one of my favorite nurseries. The layout is well-designed and makes it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. But what really sets this place apart is the team—they’re incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Shoutout to Billy Smith, who introduced me to the Moon Juice product to revive my rose bushes. And wow, it worked wonders! Overall, a great customer service experience and a place I’ll definitely keep coming back to.
