I cannot say enough great things about Chris Ajamian and Jesus Garcia “Pepper”! From the moment they arrived, they were the definition of professional, respectful, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt completely comfortable every step of the way.

What really stood out was how at ease they made us feel in our own home. It honestly felt like we had a couple of friends over helping us tackle a project — friendly, personable, and genuinely kind. That level of comfort and trust means everything.

And bonus points for appreciating our home décor — that definitely didn’t go unnoticed! 😊

If you need HVAC services, this is the dream team. I would recommend Chris and Pepper to anyone without hesitation. Thank you both so much for your amazing work — you truly went above and beyond!

I want to personally recognize Chris and Pepper for their outstanding service. They came out to our home in record time and quickly resolved the issue we were having with our AC unit. For two days, our house was sitting at 76°, and with small children and pets, keeping the home cool was definitely a priority. Thankfully, the weather wasn’t hotter, but we knew we needed it fixed quickly.

From the moment I called Elmer’s to schedule service, to the assessment visit, and then the repair the very next day, the entire team has been pleasant, friendly, and professional. Chris and Pepper were incredibly thorough — checking and double-checking their work to ensure everything was running efficiently the first time.

I also truly appreciate that the repair was covered under warranty. That level of integrity and service, especially within the first few years of installation, speaks volumes about the company.

Another huge bonus was their responsiveness. They came out the same day I called and returned the very next day to complete the repair. That kind of turnaround is rare.

Chris and Pepper were extremely kind and respectful — not only of our home but also of our dogs. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied before leaving, even asking if we needed anything else. Chris even labeled the unit and showed us exactly how to properly install the filter next time — which was truly above and beyond.

We will absolutely continue recommending Elmer’s to friends and family looking for new AC installations or service. Excellent experience from start to finish!

I really wanted this company to be good because I heard their commercials in The Ticket radio station and saw a ton of good reviews. I did not even really get to experience their service. My appointment window was 12-3 and they said they would call with a 30 min heads up. When 145 rolled around I called because I had not heard from anyone and had read a review that someone else had a problem with them not showing up during the scheduled window of time. Luckily I checked because i was told they rescheduled me for 2-6 without a call or notification to ask if that was even a good time. I rearranged my whole work day around this appointment. I understand appointments go long but would have appreciated a call to inform me of the issue. Very disappointing. I gave a 2 because of the horrible first impression. I cancelled and called someone else. I may or may not try them again.

The guys who installed the new furnace and control board on Monday forgot to do one of the tasks so had to come out again yesterday. Then we noticed when the furnace came on every time it felt like air conditioning for about 10 or more minutes until it finally warmed up. So had to call again this morning. Unfortunately, they don’t have the part and it’s a Saturday so they can’t fix it. This is bad because with the wind chill tomorrow morning it will feel like the single digits. In addition my husband is having major surgery Monday morning and the technician who came out was condescending to me. 🤨

Paid 4k for HVAC repairs and was told problem was fixed and system running fine. Ran fine for 2 yrs and today while still paying out my old repair in payments, now system has a leak and now will be 2,700 to repair. As if the average American household are cash cows. Ridiculous! Oh but was recommended to upgrade to an entirely new system. God know how much that will cost….an arm or leg perhaps? So disappointed in Elmers!

I would not recommend this company. The technician was very inconsistent and came across as untrustworthy. First, he quoted me $2,900. After I joked and said, “Wow, I wish it was $2,000,” he suddenly changed the price to $4,000, claiming he forgot to include freon. Then he lowered it again to $3,100.

He also told me that a new coil would only come with a one-year warranty, which is false—new coils come with a 10-year warranty. On top of that, he knew my coil was still under warranty and available but never offered to replace it under warranty, which tells me he was more focused on making extra money than doing right by the customer.

My advice: do your homework and be cautious before working with this company.

Scheduled these guys to come out from 8am-12pm window. I took off work to make sure I was home. Funny thing is I’m here at home, but I don’t see Elmers anywhere. Hold on let me double check and see if there outside, I’ll be right back………….ok I’m back, nope I don’t see Elmers anywhere lol. Not outside in the driveway or in the crawl space, I even checked the bathroom in case the service guy had bad gas station sushi for lunch and snuck in when I wasnt looking.

I get stuff happens and people run behind but have the common courtesy to let me know so I don’t lose money, money this company is going to want to in order to do the job. I will say that the customer service lady was very apologetic and a manager did call me to sort things out but if you can’t communicate and show up to a estimate l, how can I trust you to do a job.

⚠ Exhausted, Grieving, and Pressured – Elmer’s Took Advantage When I Was at My Lowest ⚠

Tried to sell us a $4000 system for over $26,000 marked down to $17,000

I’m writing this after days of reflection and a growing sense of anger and betrayal. I trusted
Elmer’s because of my mother’s glowing recommendation—she had a wonderful
experience. I expected the same. Instead, I was manipulated by a sales process that preyed
on my exhaustion, financial hardship, and personal grief.
I contacted Elmer’s to diagnose what they said was a “completely fried” HVAC system. The
technician arrived and was friendly, maybe too friendly. He began setting me up
immediately—talking up the salesman I was about to meet, saying Elmer’s could’ve sent the
hard-sell, “take-it-or-leave-it” guy, but instead they were doing me a favor by sending their
“generous” salesman. Someone who “works with people,” gets them “every deal possible,”
    and actually cares.
Well, if this was the generous one, I don’t even want to imagine the other option.
When the salesman arrived, I was already running on fumes—48 hours with no sleep—and I
had shared that fact with them. I had also opened up about recent personal loss in my
family, which made me emotionally vulnerable. Instead of giving me space or showing
sensitivity, they fast-tracked the entire process.
I asked for costs directly. I asked to see the numbers. But instead of answering me, the
salesman said, “I’ll get that for you, but first let me explain…”—and launched into a long,
scripted pitch. He talked about efficiency, airflow, lifetime energy savings, bundled
upgrades—everything but the one thing I asked for: the actual price.
Eventually, he put a few papers in front of me to sign, then personally called GreenSky to
    initiate financing. There was:
    No detailed quote
    No line-item breakdown
    No visual estimate to review
No actual time given to think
    And most importantly—no empathy.
They knew I was exhausted. They knew I had no funds. They knew I was grieving. And still,
they pushed me through the financing process with charm, speed, and zero transparency.
What should’ve been a helpful, informative conversation became a funnel designed to trap
me into a loan I barely had time to process.
Below is a list of agencies followed by the list of complaints I’m filing about once I secure
another loan and get my family cool.
Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR)
    Better Business Bureau (BBB)
    Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
    GreenSky Financing
Elmer’s didn’t just fail at customer service—they failed at basic humanity. I won’t be quiet
about this. And I hope no one else finds out the hard way like I did.
What Elmer’s Did Wrong – The Full Breakdown
    ⚠ 1. Withheld Equipment Specifications
Never provided model numbers for condenser, air handler, heat kit, or accessories.
Refused to disclose AHRI certification, leaving you in the dark about system
    performance and compliance.
    Avoided sharing SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 ratings—basic transparency you’re entitled to
    before purchase.
💰 2. Used Price Manipulation / Anchor Pricing
🧠 3. Took Advantage of Our Vulnerability
🛑 4. Pushed Us Into a Loan Before Disclosing data
This violates the spirit (and potentially the letter) of consumer financing compliance.
Only after the loan was paused did they even try to justify their pricing.
📉 5. Failed to Compete or Communicate
After formal email requests, Elmer’s ignored us completely.
❌ 6. Misrepresented Scope and Upgrades
📵 7. Left the Loan Open and Us Exposed
That’s irresponsible and puts us at financial risk.
💼 Summary: Why You’re Filing Complaints
TDLR: For contractor misconduct, failure to disclose, ethical violations.
BBB: For deceptive pricing and non-responsiveness.
CFPB & GreenSky: For loan tied to vague specs and pushed during emotional
    vulnerability
