Talked to Mike Carey in 2021 about solar to get more information about the process. He was very informative, got us a complimentary design, and price and worked with me on my time. He was never in a hurry or pushy about us moving forward. When we told him it wasn't the right time for us, he completely understood and that was that. I had plenty of time to vet the company as well as many of their selling points such as being a local company with a local warehouse, installation crews and sound reputation for quality and service before and after the installation. It was this no pressure approach and transparency that stood out compared the many brokers that have harrased us over the years to go solar. That's why I came back when we were ready a year later and we picked right back up where we left off. I have never regretted working with Freedom Solar and I feel we are partners for the life of my investment. Highly recommend. They are a quality company with a solid product.

Johnathan Ishmael, and Andre installed the solar panels and connected to the electrical equipment installed a few days earlier by Tommy. I was informed as to when they would be at my home and contacted the day of installation as to when they would arrive. Very professional in all they did. They set up work areas and use proper personal protective equipment during install. Tommy and Andre kept me informed as to what they had to do and all worked until the job was completed. Thank you for a painless install process.

Freedom Solar did an excellent job with our install. Alina was fantastic — extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Any time I had a question or concern, I could text her and she got back to me quickly with clear answers. Gerardo, the electrician, went above and beyond, working hard during the install and even coming back multiple times to make sure everything was dialed in and working exactly as it should.

The installation itself was fast and clean, and the system has been performing flawlessly. We’ve already seen a solid drop in our electric bills. I came in with a very particular setup in mind, and Freedom had no problem getting me exactly what I wanted. They even included extras like duct sealing that improved our HVAC efficiency. Couldn’t be happier — highly recommend!

Freedom Solar installed our 17 solar panels this morning in just 1.5 hours. They were very professional and informative and did great work. The crews name was the Solar Goats because their crew chief owns goats. Awesome crew!

The Solar Dream Team was excellent in their time arrival, reinstallation, clean up and making sure that the panels were working properly before leaving. Reattachment of solar panels was done in a good amount of time as well.

The crew (Solar GOATS) did a phenomenal job. PHENOMENAL!!! Estimated at 4 hours, they were in and out in half that time! Neat, polite, organized, clean and efficient. The panels are low profile and aligned perfectly!! The panels are nearly invisible from the street due to the low profile. The self-sealing anchors for the rail mount are ingenious, super high quality. A very high quality job by a great crew. Thank you!!!!!

Maintained communication prior to arrival and arrived right on time. Everyone was very courteous. The install itself was very efficient, neat and tidy.

We noticed one corner raised on the edge and will let them know. I am confident they will come back and address it.

Update: The panel was fixed within the next week.

Our system has been live for over a month now and we are definitely seeing the benefits of going solar. Michelle Nicholson is our point of contact with Freedom Solar and has been very responsive to all of our questions (which I am sure she has heard a million times!). We could not have had a better person guide us through this journey!

We just installed the Freedom Solar system and I could not be more happy with a company. Wonderful process from start to finish. I had previously installed a solar system when building my home ten years ago and it was terrible from the beginning so I very much appreciate the ability to quickly and easily communicate with Freedom Solar.

Three years after our $80,000 investment with Freedom Solar, we’ve run into serious issues:
- The manufacturer of our solar panels is out of business.
- Our Tesla Powerwall has been nonfunctional for two months.

When I reported the Powerwall issue, the response I received was simply an email directing me to follow up with Tesla directly, along with a link to Tesla’s certified installers.

I understand that both the panel manufacturer going out of business and Tesla’s Powerwall problems are beyond Freedom Solar’s control. However, customer service and appreciation for our business should not waver. We trusted Freedom Solar as our installer and made a sizeable investment with them, so communication and support are critical.

Today, I called for an update since my emails had gone unanswered. The customer service representative seemed distracted—she didn’t ask my name or why I was calling. Only after I asked if it was a good time to talk did she shift her focus. I did eventually get an update: Tesla agreed last week to replace our Powerwall, and Freedom Solar is waiting on supplies.

While I appreciate finally getting this information, it would have been far better to receive proactive communication. It sounds like many customers are affected, and Freedom Solar should have:
- Notified impacted customers that Tesla is shutting down Powerwalls as a safety precaution.
- Explained that they are working with Tesla on replacements.
- Committed to regular updates until the issue is resolved.

Recommendation: Freedom Solar needs to improve its customer communication. Proactive updates would go a long way in showing respect for customers who have made such significant investments.
