I had an older HP desktop that I was going to give to a friend since it was no longer needed but I wanted to get my files off first. I hadn't utilized or even turned on the computer in approximately a year due to typically using my laptop. But the computer was very important to me and had a lot of old family photos and documents saved on it from over the years. It had data from a previous computer on it as well. So about 8-10 years of data. My desktop had not been backed up. I know, I know. Bad move on my part. To my surprise, when I turned on the computer, it forced me to do a factory reset. It wouldn't allow me to bypass it or close out of it. I did the "fix all" and rebooted several times but kept getting the same prompting. So I proceeded. Once the desktop loaded ALL of my personal files were gone. I was in utter shock! I begin to panic and frantically call around to see if any of my files could be retrieved somehow. I even contacted my company's IT department and several other data retrieval companies from Yelp. Most stated there'd be no way to retrieve the lost data after a factory reset overrode my hard drive. Others stated that it would be too costly of a fee for me to try to retrieve it. I was so upset! I lost my dad in November 2019 and all I could think about was getting my old pictures back or the thought of them being lost forever due to a stupid tech error. THANK GOD for ERS. They didn't promise me any results and I had resolved to "I've lost all my data". But I dropped off my computer anyway; I thought it's worth a try. Stephanie greeted me and was very friendly. I left my computer and was contacted shortly after to confirm exactly what my issue was. Fast forward a few days and I was contacted with the good news of they'll be able to retrieve about 75% of my lost data !!!!!!! I didn't think the news could get any better and then I asked how much it would cost. I was bracing to hear some astronomically high number and then I was told it would be FREE!!!!!! I could barely hold back the tears! I thought this has to be a gimmick, right? So Stephanie called me and explained that the President of the company, Mike, wanted to do a good deed. WHAT?!?!?!? That never happens these days. I was extremely moved by this random act of kindness. I
In summary, I absolutely recommend this company. Why? Because due to their skill-set and expertise they were able to give me back my priceless data files against all odds, everyone that I interacted with was personable and had a sense of humor. And to top it off they demonstrated that there are still kind people in this world :-)
THANK YOU ERS!!!!!! -
ERS was hired after a tornado hit our home. They came to our home to remove, test, restore, and store our goods. Our claim took 2 years to settle with the insurance company and about a year to rebuild the home.
ERS demanded payment for our items before they could be returned. Our insurance company paid them via Blackmon Mooring. We then asked for our items to be returned to our home.... our calls were ignored. The receptionist kept applogizing stating that my messages were being passed along to mgmt. Months later the owner Mike Kinney reach out stating that our items were disposed of after 18months and offered a small settlement cost that we could not accept. They still refused to return and or replace our items. I would definitely not trust ERS with ANY resonation projects. -
The two ERS technicians who checked out my kitchen appliances after a flood were very competent and conscious of my personal property. They kept me well informed. AND they went above and beyond with asking if they could sweep out behind my refrigerator before they put it back. That is service!

I had to use them to help me move and reset up my
Equipment after the Texas snow storm URI. I was very nervous to relinquish my equipment because that was my livelihood. However, they were very professional the entire time. The time of pick up, the packing and the re-installation. They kept great communication. Nothing was damage and everything was restored properly. Will use them again. -
ERS was referred to me after the February freeze and burst pipes in my home. I was quite impressed with the detailed list of my electronics and electrical items checked. Item were cleaned, safely wrapped and clearly labeled when returned. I hope I never need their services again, but will definitely use them again if necessary.

Terrible service, would not recommend. Refused to return items to their proper place, way overpriced. Avoid this company.

Adolfo Polanco was the Prism representative who came to verify damages to 2 TV's and a Refrigerator. Adolfo was very professional, courteous and thorough.

We had damage from broken pipes after the freeze in Feb 2021. ERS removed our large, wall-mounted TV, cleaned and stored it for over a year while we had repairs done. Their workers were on time, professional, careful with our belongings, kind and efficient. The office followed up to be sure we were pleased and were timely in their responses. I fervently hope to never have this level of damage in my house again, but if we do, we'll definitely call ERS.

Misael came out to assess our refrigerator after Hurricane Beryl damage from a year ago. He was very friendly, professional and honest.

Very disappointed. Prism came out to inspect appliances that were damage in a flood in September. We never received any report, and I had to call them multiple times to submit their report to our insurance company. Prism called me in December to schedule a repair date, but we had replaced the appliances. The only documentation I ever received was an overdue invoice.

Adolfo, Oswaldo, and Richard were a great help in our time of need. Adolfo called and let me know his ETA prior to coming. When they arrived they were quick, kind and courteous with my elderly mother.

*Not Reliable and Trustworthy*
I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Prism Specialties of Greater Houston. They were subcontracted by our mitigation company to store and handle our electronics and appliances following a water leak in our home. Unfortunately, I would not consider them reliable or trustworthy in the slightest.
To begin with, they failed to return all of the electronics that were promised, including our TV, which they now claim isn’t working. To make matters worse, some of the appliances we did receive back, like our washer and dryer, stopped working within a week. Although it could be a coincidence, it still raises serious questions about the care they provided during storage. Additionally, our refrigerator door has started malfunctioning, which never happened before.
Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend hiring them, either directly or indirectly, under any circumstances. In my opinion, their service and reliability have been deeply disappointing and frustrating. Never again! -
Prism took all salvageable and non-salvageable textile items from our house fire. Thirteen months later our house was competed. I was able to schedule quick delivery of all textiles. They were cleaned and in plastic bags. They hung everything in closets. Other textiles were unpacked from boxes and placed in drawers and cabinets. They took the empty boxes away. Unsalvageable items were
disguarded. Itemized lists were sent to our insurance company.
Overall, we were pleased with their service. -
They did a great job cleaning and making sure the appliances worked. Also with all the textiles.
The only thing they should do, is advise clients that they deliver appliances after the restoration company brings the furniture back. -
Witnessed one of their drivers driving recklessly down Long Point @ Hempstead on 3/23/22. Very unprofessional and dangerous.
