BLUF: DO NOT LET ANYONE FROM THIS COMPANY IN YOUR HOUSE!!!

I came back from a road trip to find extensive water damage. I called Mike and they came right out. However, on day 2 I noticed one of my handguns was missing (I had to move everything due to the water damage and I had just used my handgun at a course for which I had to drive so it was in my travel case when I got back home to the damage). The way that the pistol was discovered missing left no doubt that it had been stolen (tried to swap it out in the pistol pouch hoping I wouldn’t notice it was missing) and not misplaced on the road trip. They all denied it of course, but when the constables questioned them, they believed that one was clearly acting suspicious. However, they ultimately had no proof to charge him. Mike said he would reimburse me for the cost of the stolen handgun, but has stopped responding to me.

So…he hired a crew member that stole a pistol from a homeowner, which is bad enough, but he also didn’t keep his word. Maybe this business was once pretty good, but it is clear that they have not kept up that same standard.

UPDATE: I just found out about some of the drama behind how he billed my home owners insurance for services rendered before he got fired. My adjuster asked for the inventory of items packed and pictures they were supposed to take along the process. She said she was waiting for their documents but they refused and said they’d put a lien on my house if he wasn’t paid, so she did pay him. He never provided proper documentation.

Now, months later, my job has been done by professional companies who have been providing the correct documentation. My items that were packed up and stored have now been brought back to my house. I’m missing all of the items that I had left in my closet, after grabbing the essentials that I thought would get me through the summer. I’m talking entire shelves of sweaters, boots, shoes, and purses that are missing. Before I discovered the missing pistol, the guys in his crew told me to grab what I needed from my closet because they were getting ready to pack it up. I had some space in the guest room upstairs where I could put some of my clothes and shoes, but I figured the rest would be ok to pack up until I get my closet back. I was making rounds moving some of it upstairs grabbing my summer essentials and such. That’s why I hadn’t grabbed any sweaters and some of my warmer boots for the Houston heat. Now I’m getting ready to move to Germany and I have none of it.

Like I said, this company is completely untrustworthy. Do not use them unless you want to be out thousands of dollars of your personal property.

We contacted Houston Pro Masonry to repair our cracks as well as our 40 year old chimney. Osmar came out the same day to provide us with a quote. The entire repair was properly done and you cant even tell the new mortar from the old. Awesome customer service and great quality work from his foreman Sergio. I would highly reccomend their services and I will definetly let them use me as a future reference. 5 star service.

I Was very impressed with Houston Pro Masonry. Osmar Gonzalez was very responsive and flexible. The guys did a wonderful job and were able to repair our motar in short notice. It looks great and matches perfectly. I would definitely use them again.

Generally good masonry work. Price was great for a small, block structure. However, the crew assumed it was simply a storage building. The crew chief was also busy mixing mortar and failed to see that the masons ignored a detail that was specifically discussed immediately prior to the start of the wall construction. This resulted in considerably more work and expense during the electrical work, later.

I had a leak in my chimney and Houston pro masonry came out immediately to check and provide me the work scope. They were able to fix the issue in one day and even helped close up some holes near my windows. Extremely professional and was able to come fix my leak within a few days during the holidays!

They did great work at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Houston Pro Masonry came out to build an outdoor kitchen along with a paved patio. Osmar and his crew were professional from start to finish. Very clean and respectful of the property. Great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

My home had a lot of damage to my brick from 30 years of thick IVY growing on it ... I pulled it off when we had the freeze, deader than dead. Underneath were a few surprises ... a gapping hole associated with fireplace, and discoloration and damage to my brick. Osmar to my rescue! He and his team were amazing. They fixed the hole, can't even tell where it was, they repaired all the cracks, heavy duty powerwashing, and more ... the finished job really does look great. I was skeptical I must admit. But super happy how it turned out! If you need masonry work, I highly recommend Houston Pro Masonry.

Osmar and his crew did an excellent job repairing our mortar cracks. The brickwork looks like new. We will use them again if we need future brick work.

Had some repair to mortor on the stone on the face of my house. Houston Pro not only did an excellent job but from phone call to work completed took only 2 days! The job looks absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend them.

Osmar runs a tight ship. Very responsive, quick turn around. I’ve had a leak from somewhere on a sunroom roof, flashing, window frame, or brick, ???? for many (10+) years and have wasted a lot of money on failed attempts to fix it. Got Osmar and his crew on it in late July of this year. They washed the brick, plugged big cracks, applied sealant to the brick, and caulked the flashing. We have had plenty of heavy rain with wind in Houston since then, not a drop in the house. I highly recommend these guys, for successful execution, great communication, customer focus, and reasonable price.

Had a brick mailbox refurbished/repaired and the metal box replaced. Osmar and his team did a great job, He pressure washed the existing (old) brick, repaired the brick as needed, removed loose mortar and replaced with new one or repaired and sealed the cracks. Adjusted, cut the opening for the new, larger box. His estimate was very reasonable and workmanship highly professional. Enjoyed doing business with them.

Osmar was very professional when he first gave me the estimate. He patiently worked up various options for the repairs very promptly. I was pleased with his Pre-contract service and hoped he would do the actual work as well. After awarding the work to Osmar, I was pleasantly pleased with the quality of workmanship of his workers and the manner in which they performed the work. Everything was left very clean after they finished the work. I highly recommend Osmar (Houston Pro Masonry) and plan to get additional work done by him.

Osmar and his team were very responsive. Quick to come out for a quote, the work was done quickly and the price was better than I expected. The work they did was great, my house looks wonderful after their visit.

They did an excellent job on our chimney repair. Their price was unbeatable and they provided a sufficient amount of support during the repair day. I've used Houston Pro Masonry twice now and was very pleased with the final job each time. They have done a great job matching existing bricks for replacement. They color matched the mortar beautifully at both homes, and they reset and sealed up our fireplace at our new home perfectly. These guys seem to stay busy, and with the quality of the work and the competitive price I can tell you they are worth waiting for too.

We had to replace the gas valve for our fireplace which meant removing and replacing the brick around the valve area. It doesn’t look like anything was done to the fireplace. I’m amazed! Osmar was great communicating with me since we had to coordinate with the plumber too. The 2 men were respectful and got the job done efficiently and cleaned up with done. I highly recommend them.
