We are very pleased with the Carvestone Allied Outdoor Solutions applied to our wrap-around porch. We had a very thorough understanding of the process and the crew did a very good job of creating what we wanted.

A contractor who showed up when they said they would, did what they promised, on time and on budget? In 2023? NO!!

We had Allied put down Carvestone on our back patio. A small project, but it meant a lot to us. They treated us great throughout, from the initial consultation, the review of the project, and the actual work. It was as good as could be expected and we are super happy with the results. We especially liked that they have designated project coordinators that communicate with you throughout, so you don't have to wait for someone to be finished on a job site to call you back when you have questions.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended if you have work to be done on your patio. The Carvestone is beautiful and we are excited to start actually using our patio!

We needed serious work done in our backyard. It was essentially never visited...just a place to let the dog out and also do some grilling...never lingered there very long. As our house is somewhat small, some additional living space was needed.
Enter Allied Outdoor Solutions. We had a design in mind and Garrett Hardy, the project manager, made it happen. He and his crew transformed our backyard into actual living space. My wife and I spend most of our time out here now and absolutely love it. We've commented a number of times how it was well worth the investment.

Flash forward 2 years to 2020. Our front walkway and steps were in serious need of replacement. Needless to say, we called Allied Outdoor Solutions for a quote. Richard Rogers, the project consultant, came in with great ideas and a plan to match what we envisioned. Rich had excellent suggestions on the build plan and, in the span of 3 days, Chris Wise, the project manager, and his crew knocked it out - and knocked it out of the park. The results speak for themselves.

We are now thinking of a garage extension or portico in back for our cars. Allied Outdoor Solutions will be at the top of our list to do the work. Very professional, great communication and they exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

When we set out to look at options for our project we didn’t know what to expect. We talked with low cost providers and higher cost providers. This was truly a “you get what you pay for” experience. From the very beginning we met with Jeff our designer. During the big reveal we felt like it was nice but not quite exactly what we were looking for. After taking the time to understand our needs Jeff came back with a revised design and we were sold.

From that point on AOS handled everything. Permitting, inspections, scheduling, etc…you name it, they took care of it.

The best part of it all was the communication throughout the process. They set very clear expectations and answered all of our questions at the drop of a hat. Rachel was our coordinator and was patient and never made us feel like we had dumb questions. She over communicated the steps in the process and we were always aware of what was going on. Vincent was our PM and made us feel very comfortable about progress, and gave honest opinions on color schemes, layout, appliances, size of tvs etc…

I always felt very comfortable with the craft labor. They were efficient but took their time to do it right. I was highly impressed with the stone masons, carpentry, and electrical crews.

The whole team was highly professional. For anyone considering a project like this, I would recommend spending the extra money to know you’re getting the best. Top notch experience all the way around and worth the cost. 100%

Recently we decided to have our back patio and pool deck refinished to cover the pebble stone. A neighbor of my in-laws had a deck overlay done by Allied Outdoor Solutions. We were immediately very impressed with the workmanship and overall look of the deck. We contacted Allied Outdoor Solutions where upon we met Outdoor Designer Brandon Wingate at our residence. He fully explained the process and price of the project which was to our satisfaction. Soon there after we met Field Supervisor Jose Tapia who took final measurements and explained the construction process to our satisfaction. The construction included additional concrete patio pad and sidewalk. The Carve Stone covering was beyond our expectation as well as the overall completion of the project! Allied installed our carvestone hardscape throughout our backyard about 10 years ago. We love it and we contract with them to come back every 2-3 years to reseal it and keep it beautiful. From design to planning through execution, the professionals at Allied proved to be thorough, competent and friendly. Communication was stellar along the way, especially when weather got in the way!! A true 5-star company. We recently had our home walkway resurfaced by Allied Outdoor Solutions. We were very happy with the walkway’s results. Several of our neighbors commented how nice the walkway looks and it really improved the look of our house.

Top Quality with Room for Improvement

Pros:
-Build quality is top notch.
-Communication is timely and effective.

-Everyone is professional and provides solutions when speed bumps occur.

Opportunities for Improvement:

For perspective, my project was substantial and took 8 months to complete, requiring 32 visits from just the electrician. It included a 26' extension to our roof, about 1200sq ft of new concrete, masonry, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work. We also did around 2500sq ft of Carvestone that you can't see in the picture. With so many projects turning into one, I know things are going to happen. I'm very particular and expect perfection. I understand it's unrealistic but did warn them it's how I am and can't help it.

-They don't do electronics so you'll have to do your own research and let them know ahead of time what the electrical requirements are. This added delays and frustration having to become an expert in outdoor fans, heaters, speakers, etc
-I had to consistently apply pressure to keep the project moving, but living in College Station I should have known this might be the case.
-Biggest complaint is the design/ architectural team lacks critical thought/ foresight and will not provide recommendations you would expect from a company of this caliber. There were no less than 10 times I had to request common sense adjustments that should have been caught by someone else (such as wiring for ceiling speakers, wiring for CAT5 on the TV wall, fully enclosing a privacy wall that faces the neighbors, etc.). While Allied did correct most of the adjustments free of charge, it did add delays, and a few times I had to pay for change orders that shouldn't have occurred in the first place (not leaving a large gap below the weather blocking screen, not throwing away the best part of hand-chosen upgraded granite, not leaving a two foot gap in the wooden enclosure for the hot tub, etc.).

While I do believe Allied provides a very high quality project, you'll absolutely need to review every single detail of the project prior to signing the contract, and pay close attention to catch things during the process. Management should also check in to see how things are going, which never happened, not once.

Overall I'm very happy with the end result, it's beautiful and exactly what I envisioned; I simply wish it was a full service experience and didn't require so much effort on my end.

We are very pleased with our patio project completed by Allied Outdoor Solutions. Our project consisted of a patio extension, roofline extension, fan and light installation, and carvestone installation. From the initial meeting, to the drawing board, to the project work, to its completion, we were kept informed at all times about the next steps and which crews would arrive during the week in a very timely manner.
