I had a pleasure experience with Colony Builders. All crew members were friendly and professional. There are some points that can be improved regarding the house keeping , but I understand that some mess is expected during constructions. All the small issues I had during the process I was able to solve talking to Mr. Ali. I will definitely use and recommend this service again !

Ali and Colony Builders did an amazing job on my patio. You cannot tell the old from the new. Ali communicated promptly throughout the entire project. I had a tight deadline and Ali delivered. I could not be happier with the end result.

This company is an absolute delight to work with. The sales team was knowledgeable, efficient and very above board helping my wife and I find the perfect solution. The crew was fast and very respectful to my wife who handled the project as I work most of the time. The finished product came out even better than expected and we could not be happier. Colony builders will definitely be our first call for any future needs. IF YOURE SEARCHING STOP, THIS IS WHO YOU WANT TO WORK WITH!!!

After waiting for years I was finally able to get siding done along with some exterior mods. They were very friendly every time we spoke. They answered my calls promptly, resolved issues with confidence, were on time every day, used good quality materials, and basically offered more for my money than anyone else. They certainly deserve 5 stars and I won't hesitate to refer them to anyone. Thanks Colony Builders and Mahdi for making my large job seem bearable.

We spent $24,000 on an improvement to our backyard: outdoor fireplace, new concrete patio and sidewalk, gas fire pit and spa. Beware that once Ali has your money, he will no longer continue correspondence and therefore your warranty is void. I had held back about $2,000 at the end of the job because we still did not have steps to enter the spa, and the backyard was a mess with splattered concrete on the fence, garbage and nails strewn around the backyard, etc. Ali quickly got nasty with me about his final payment, saying he was doing me a favor by putting me in contact with various companies to complete my backyard and boy, he would never do that again! I was shocked!
One month after completion the glaze on the concrete started peeling and looks horrible. When I spoke to Ali he was very nice and apologetic, but it is now 5 months later and he still has not repaired the glaze. Ali installed a spa but we couldn't get into it because there were no steps. After having to pay additional money for the steps with Ali promising to drop them off, we still do not have steps to get into the spa. Colony Builder's quote may be a little less than others, but know that he does not back his work so it is a risk you will have to take.
Update: Since writing the review, Ali has resurfaced the patio so that it looks nice again. The steps to the spa have been delivered and we are content with the work.

This is the 2nd time we’ve used Colony Builders. Ali was FANTASTIC!! He listened to our ideas and suggested things that made our build on perfect. I couldn’t recommend him more.

I have used Colony Builders for three of my home projects two of which were outside patios. They will do what you want and great job for the value. Workers very nice and very good clean up. They definitely appreciate your business. They aim to please!

Very professional team. I was very impressed with the final work and reasonable pricing.

We were looking to extend our patio and find a way to create some shade in our backyard, which is directly hit by the sun in the afternoon. Admittedly, we weren't sure how to best solve the problem.

We brought in five contractors for ideas and quotes. Most offered a few ideas and left in about 20 minutes. Ali from Colony Builders spent 2 hours helping us design and think through a plan that would solve our issue. He worked within our budget (no upselling) and his pricing was very competitive with others.

The project has gone great so far, with the only delay being our HOA. The crews are professional and work hard. Ali and Sam have both visited to check-in on the work. I would definitely recommend Colony Builders to others and will post photos once the work is completed.

Colony Builders helped my parents repair their home after Hurricane Harvey. The home had significant damage, and Ali and everyone at Colony Builders were outstanding to work with in every way. Colony Builders inspected the house, explained what repairs were needed and did quality work for a reasonable price. We plan to use Colony Builders anytime we need major home repairs or have home remodeling projects.

This is our third time hiring Colony Builders and they treat us like family. They did a siding job at our last house when we lived in Stafford. We were very happy with their crew and the house looked great. The next time we used them they added two patio covers to the house. One on the side and the other in the back by the pool. They came out and they knew just what we wanted and it came out beautiful! I was blown away by their work. After five years living with these excellently designed and implemented patios we decided to expand a little more and enlarge our back patio so we can have an outdoor living room with a fireplace and mounted television. They are going to install Austin brick on the fireplace and the covered patio space will also give us room for a dining area as well. The design is awesome and it is going to give us so much privacy. We think when it's done we are going to have our dream space and are going to enjoy it well into our future retirement in our forever home! Thank you Colony Builders. And ps, my wife loved this current crew and she was so impressed with their work. We are looking forward to the fourth of July when the job will be complete and we can have family and friends over!

My strong advice will be to stay away from this company and find another vendor if you want the warranty to be honored. We built our covered patio from them and first had difficulties in getting it completed in time as the workers will promise but will not show up and later when I talked to them I was told that Ali asked them to work some other place. They have subcontractors who they assign randomly to different jobs. Ali and his company are the worst communicators in the world. You can leave voicemails and send text messages and if you have paid them the full amount, they will not return the phone call or text messages. As a vendor even if you are not going to take care of the issue, just for human courtesy at least respond to multiple calls and say that you will not honor the warranty you promised while getting the business. We have a crack developed on the tiles within a warranty period of one year. I sent pictures/videos to them but Colony builders have neither addressed the issue nor have responded to my numerous requests. Having spent more than $30 K with them, I strongly feel we would have been better off going with another vendor. I have shared my feedback with my neighbors who wanted to build a patio but felt my responsibility to share it with everybody out there after waiting for 7 months for Colony builders to respond to my numerous messages.

I just hope this helps all the people looking out for a contractor to build their dream patio or remodeling their house.

We just had an extended covered patio done and we are very happy with it . It turned out as what we wanted , beautiful patio with stamped concrete floor. Mr Ali and all the workers are very professional , it is easy to contact Ali for anything came up and he would take care of it.
Landis and his crew did a good job painting the ceiling to match with our existing patio, and project manager Shawn came out with the equipment to pick up nails from the lawn. Thanks Colony Builders for the job well done!

Colony Builders turned an upstairs balcony into a home gym. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of work, value, and timeliness. I would highly recommend Ali and his team to anyone.

Colony Builders installed a Patio cover addition to my home. I am very satisfied with the results and my friends are impressed with it too. I feel that I got a great value. Mr. Zare was very knowledgeable. He provided me with good advice on how to fine tune the details of my project to ensure it would be both practical and look good. The crews performing the carpentry, roofing, painting, staining and electrical were are competent and left the work site cleaner than I expected. I would use Colony Builders again for future improvements.

We’ve used Colony Builders for several remodeling projects as we did a full home remodel in stages. Our last project was to give our older home a new open concept layout. We had our initial meeting and Ali got everything done to our satisfaction as always. We’ll definitely use them again if anything else comes up that we decide to do. And we definitely recommend them for any construction job you have. Inside or out.

I have no problem dealing with their workers when they build my back patio. They handled the job well. Whatever we request they listen and do what makes the customer happy and satisfied. The workmanship was of good quality. We did not regret choosing Colony Builders. I give good commendation to the group who did the roofing and concrete flooring. Good job guys.

5 stars! We hired Colony Builders to add a 700 square foot addition on the front of our home. Now our house is finally the size it should have been from the get-go! Colony did a fantastic job... all of their workers are very professional and friendly. The owner Ali Zare is a super-nice guy and is easy to work with. I recommend Colony Builders without reservation, and I plan to use them again for our Kitchen remodel.

My husband and I wanted a new addition to our home. We were running out of space for our family. We got several quotes and were leaning towards another company but a friend in the neighborhood showed us her addition. She was very pleased with Colony Builders and Ali, the owner. We called Colony Builders, and Ali came to our home. He was very helpful and honest. We were excited and nervous about the project. We are glad we chose Colony Builders! We had a very good experience and now have a beautiful addition!!! We have continued to use Colony Builders for other projects and really trust them to do the project correctly. I would never deal with this company ever. We had a meeting with the company guy for a patio upgrade job. He gave us a quote "on the fly" without any details or breakdown, and left. When requested for more details, never responded, which goes to show that the company is not responsive, and is unprofessional. He totally lied about committing to respond and never did. to The best thing that happened that we stayed away from him.

We had a great experience with Colony Builders! The owner, Ali, came out and did our quote initially. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He had good suggestions about things we did and didn’t need, especially to get the project within our budget. It’s obvious he takes pride in his company and has built a reputation for doing high quality work. We had a covered patio added on to the back of our house. They started the project very quickly after our HOA approved, and Colony Builders took all the stress out of that process as well. They did a fabulous job on the patio. It’s very well built and looks like part of the original structure of our house. They did such a great job that we also had them replace our siding with Hardie plank. We’re very pleased with that as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this company. They always took our calls and any questions or issues we had they resolved quickly with no hassle. They always showed up when they said they would. I will definitely be using them again!
