Colony Builders built us a beautiful patio cover. My wife and I joke that the house may blow away but the patio cover is here to stay

I contracted Colony Builders to construct my patio cover and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. They worked with me to ensure I got HOA approval within a week. The workers were very professional, they cleaned and stored away their materials at the end of each working day. Ali informed me daily of progress and what to expect, He answered all of my questions. My patio cover was completed within the discussed time frame. My husband and I are very pleased with the work. We’ll definitely be working with Colony Builders on future projects.

We wanted to add a secondary kitchen to our house so we went out to get bids, and Ali from Colony Builders was one of them. From the 4 bids, we liked 3 of them very much, and Ali was one of them. Since a relative from our family had work done by Colony Builders before, and Ali's offer was better than the other 2 we went with Ali and very glad we did. The job started on-time, Ali shows was a part of the entire process, and the workmanship was very good. Ali was very easy to work with, and he's very responsive. We've built our last 2 houses, and anyone who has ever built a home you know how difficult it is to get a hold of the builder. So, I was very happy that any time I need to ask him a question, he always pick up my calls. So, I definitely, 100% recommend Ali and Colony Builders.

I am very please with the custom build patio cover contracted to Colony Builders Inc., Mr. Ali B. Zare and his efficient crew (architect, project manager and constructional workers) who build a custom patio cover to my proposed design and specifications (matching roof of home, electrical, fan etc.) with minimum amount of time. I am very pleased with the solid construction that complements my home, and the suggestions made by the contractor. The work crew manager made sure all aspects were as I wanted with additional things I did not consider. Cleaning up after the project was completed. Colony builders built a patio with a stained ceiling and replaced all the Hardy siding, windows and painted. The quality is excellent. Ali (Owner) came out personally and surveyed the project and even recommended some ideas that made it look even better. Ali is a true pleasure to deal with. Unlike any other contractor I've worked with. When he says he's coming over at 1:00 pm he's there 10 minutes early. Other contractors didn't even show up for their survey appointment.He's stays on top of the job through completion and even had some corrections made because he thought it could look better which is just what you want in a contractor. His standards of quality are as high or higher than the home owner. Couldn't be happier!!!!!

I had an extension done—about 1,100 sq. ft.—and the work was excellent! Colony Builders, especially Ali and his team, treated us like family throughout the entire process. They originally estimated 3 to 4 months, but impressively finished everything in just 2.5 months.

They were always on time, worked Saturdays, and didn’t let rain slow them down. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding—every guest who visits compliments our new extended home.

I used Colony Builders on a home project to to remove 3 windows in my living room and replace it with sliding doors. I would highly recommend them. I have used Colony Builders to build a covered patio a few years ago, so I knew what they were capable of.

When I requested a quote for this project, Mr. Ali (owner) came to my house to discuss my vision and get measurements. Because he has a lot of experience as a contractor/builder, he knew exactly what I wanted and was able to give me the estimated cost, time line, and start date.

Compare to other contractors, they were the most reasonably priced. But beyond the price point, they managed this project very well in terms of
(1) time to completion
(2) cleaning up before and after the project,
(3) communicating what was happening next
(4) responsing to calls and questions

One of this things that stood out the most during the project is how they managed to keep the dust from spreading to a mininum. Dust is inveitable, but I appreciate that they had a person dedicated to just cleaning the inside and outside of the living room and patio area as they go. They covered the furniture inside my house as much as they could and before they left, they removed the cover from the furniture and dusted, mopped, and cleaned around the area they worked on.

This is a sizeable project with at least 10 people working on it, but it didn't feel overwhelming. Everyone knew their role and they were in and out of my house very quickly. The entire project took three days.

We are so pleased with the work of the Colony Builders. I can't emphasize enough how much we appreciate the company, management and all the workers. They are honest, professional and work hard to please the customers. We have already referred them to several friends who have used their services and are happy as we are. Thank you Colony Builders!

Very responsive, professional and timely. They came and did our siding, replaced some problem areas and did a wonderful job painting. Not to forget the gutters that will add longevity to our roof. I’d use them for any other job we have, big or small.

Colony Builders in Conroe finished up my sunroom that they recently installed for me. They did an excellent job and followed through and came back once to make sure the screens on the windows were secure. Ask for Julio to do your job. He is an excellent workman. I live in Harper’s preserve and I will definitely recommend them to do your next remodel.

This company used to be a legitimate general contractor. Now, they are just completely shady. Has not paid their hourly employees and refuses to pay their subcontractors even after the customer/tenant has paid already. Even so slimy to use "covid" as an excuse not to sign certified mail.

Do not let the old reviews fool you, this company is nothing but a shell of it's old self and will try to survive at the expense of hard-working family small businesses.

UPDATE: This company has filed for bankruptcy and thus their employees will not get their pay and all subcontractors will not only NOT get their pay for labor, but they will also not get reimbursed for ANY materials they purchased for the work they completed.

In my 25 years representing tenants, I have used CRI multiple times for tenant buildout work. I appreciate the firm's itemized up front cost estimates, their diligence during construction to stay on time and within budget, and most importantly, their follow up after the work is completed to make sure that the client is satisfied.

Capital Reconstruction has completed several commercial interior projects for us. They have well experienced project teams that communicate very well and are quick to respond.
