The best in the city!

We had the best first experience with Uptown Maids today. I called yesterday and they were able to schedule me so quickly. The women who came did an incredible job. Their cleaning is very thorough and detailed for such a reasonable price. They even switched over my laundry which I absolutely did not expect. Everything looks and smells great. I usually maintain the cleaning in our home but this was such a nice treat after a long week. We will definitely be using Uptown Maids again!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I HAD TO FILE A POLICE REPORT TODAY FOR $500 CASH THEFT. I do not make accusations especially regarding theft lightly. However, I think this review is necessary because having someone steal from you is such a violation and I would not want anyone else to endure this horrible experience. I called the police, got the owner Brenda involved but I never got my money back. I believe they stuck it in their shoes and or on their body. They knew that they could not be legally searched so they were both cool as a cucumbers. I mean if I was ever accused of stealing I wouldn't have a problem with a small pat down in the bathroom by a women or at the very minimum take off my shoes. I mean who wouldn't want to prove their innocence, right? Unfortunately, Brenda was so defensive and concerned about being right that her response to my request for a body search was "We don't do that."

Some of you may ask, well how does she know it was them. Well, I will say this much:

1. I've been in this business for over 10 years and this has NEVER happened.
2. I just counted the cash the day prior and I recorded it in 2 separate places which I showed the police officer.
3. It was $500 even all in five dollar bills. I wrap my money so it wasn't scattered cash. It was wrapped nice and neat.
4. NO ONE ELSE has been in our home this entire week. My husband and I do not have children so that rules out family theft.
5. Roxanne entered my room although I asked her not to and was less than 1 ft away from the cash. I mean the room looked just like it did when I left. She hadn't started to strip the bed which is the first thing they do when they clean. I mean you have to see these ladies...THEY WORK FAST. Instead she was in my office by my cash fake dusting a window sill. I mean who starts dusting a window sill when you have to change linens on a king size bed? Not to mention a very large en suite bathroom to clean. But yeah, she thought "let me dust this window sill in her office near all this cash".

I keep kicking myself for not putting away my cash. This is why I asked them not to enter my room. I work from home and own a cash business. I am ALWAYS home when they clean and I do not allow cleaners in my bedroom, where I have my home office, unless I am present. The cleaners arrived around 8:15 am and my husband gave them instructions to start on the 1st or 2nd floor since I was still getting dressed. Around 8:55 am I proceeded to the kitchen to make coffee but not without closing the door and asking them not to enter my bedroom. I needed time to secure my cash and personal belongings such as jewelry. I always secure these items prior to the cleaners arrival but I did not follow this procedure the night before because I hadn't received confirmation from Brenda that they were scheduled to clean.

As I was preparing my morning coffee, I thought that I should make sure that they were not in my bedroom/home office cleaning. Thus, I went upstairs and noticed that my door was opened and Roxanne was dusting the window sill in my office! I was literally in the kitchen for all of 10 minutes but this was an opportunity that was seized. I immediately told Roxanne to leave. I was furious because she was right next to my cash which was on my desk and I had told her not to enter my room.

I do believe this was premeditated and that she was looking for an opportunity to steal but I cannot prove this because you must catch a thief in the act. I strongly recommend that you stay away from this company. They started off great but ended poorly. I should have paid attention to the early warning signs when each time a different cleaner would show up at my door. You never get the same cleaners with the company, they either quit or were fired. I learned a very expensive lesson today. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

They were on time, and did not rush their job. The house was so clean we didn’t even want to use the dining room table. The quality of work is unmatched by the team they sent to us. Thank you uptown Maids

I have been a customer of Uptown Maids for the past 3 years and would highly recommend them. They have always been flexible with my schedule and do a great job cleaning and organizing my apartment!

I’ve used them for a few years and they do a great job. A couple minor things here and there, but there have never been any significant issues. They’re very responsive, flexible, they bring all their own equipment (e.g. vaccuum), and the price is right. Definitely recommend!

Imagine coming home after a long day of work to your newly fill prescriptions being thrown out. It is bizarre to me that someone would throw away prescriptions especially when you pick it up you can hear the pills. Do not recommend at all. Save yourself the stress and find another company.
