I cannot say enough about Alvin and his crews. They are the most professional group I've ever had work on my property to create a safe environment from the elements: ie rain and water. They provided excellent drainage for my property that enabled the water to drain away from the house in an efficient manner. He has secured my fence and trimmed my trees. He does anything and all things pertaining to the grounds around my house. Excellent!!!

I have used this landscape company over the years since 2009. My first experience was contracting Alvin and his company to landscape my entire yard. (When I purchased the house, the yard was nothing bu MUD!). They did a beautiful job! Alvin listened to my ideas and he made excellent suggestions. In the end, I have one of the most beautifully landscaped yards in my neighborhood. Since then, I have secured their services over and over again to mulch, replant, and add new, beautiful hardscape in different areas of my yard. The work is done quickly and perfectly. The workers are respectful, punctual, and professional. And Alvin is so wonderfully creative with his ideas.

Universal Landscape Services is simply the best.

We selected Universal for two recent projects on our home: tree trimming and landscaping. Both were top-notch professionally handled from initial consulting to post-project follow-up. They provided expert advice on exactly how much to trim and thin two large oaks encroaching on our home. Looks great: nicely raised canopy and just enough thinning to leave nice shade. Jon gave us some excellent advice ahead of the landscaping that helped us choose a design and plants to maximize our budget while still getting beautiful results. The crews for both jobs were prompt, kind, hard-working and skilled, with spotless clean-up and washing after the work. Very highly recommend.

WOW! Jon and his crew did an amazing job. They put in a Xeriscape area next to my driveway and landscaped around my new pool. Jon is great to work with and his designs and the final results exceeded our expectations. They even got my 23 year old sprinkler system back like new. Pricing was very reasonable and the crew cleaned the cool deck, driveway and sidewalks before they left each day. Jon was onsite numerous times and checked everything to make sure both he and we were satisfied. Highly impressed and strongly recommend Universal Landscape Services. Already getting quotes on additional work.

Great company that has great pricing and fantastic service. They went above and beyond for a drainage issue that I was having on my backyard.

They actually showed up on time and did exactly what they said they would do!! In my past experience with dealing with contractors, it's a rarity and should be complimented. I would also like to mention, everyone, including owner, to workers, everyone was very very polite!! Highly, Highly recommend them.

I had given them 5 stars, but not now. Needed some of the work fixed due to my dogs. I emailed numerous times and never a call back. I even called and left messages, nothing. Great starter, but did not follow through. I had to get another company to finish up the work.

I would highly recommend Landscape & Design. We had our entire yard (front, back, and sides) done. I don't know anything about landscaping but I did have an idea of how I wanted our yard to look. John listened and incorporated everything I wanted into the designs and within our budget. I met with a few landscapers before deciding on Landscape & Design but I liked John's drawing and estimate the most. John was always available to answer any questions I had. We couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done and how professionally it was done. The workers worked hard and persevered even in some rainy weather. The flagstone patio looks amazing as does all the plants, beds, and paths. This was not just an easy plant some plants type of job. Paths were made, beds were made, sod was laid, bull rock placed, cement poured and flagstone laid. So thankful that now we have our dream yard.

John and his crew installed drains to get rid of all the standing water in the yard. They designed and put in flower beds, irrigation, and sod. My yard has never looked so good! Friendly and fast.

Fantastic work for a great price! We got multiple quotes, and theirs was by far the best. Great communication, prompt, professional, and a good eye for design. We had them do our front yard, and then hired them for our backyard later. The plants are doing great. Later, one juniper started to turn brown, and they replaced it for free months after the job. Highly recommended!

It is my pleasure to post this review ! I worked with Jay from Byron‘s landscaping and found not only him but his entire team to be incredibly professional. I was amazed at the turnaround time for both estimates follow up phone calls and scheduling. It was wonderful to work with the service industry that was so receptive and so professional. The entire process was amazing and we are so grateful to have this new front yard. I would recommend working with these people anytime.

I highly recommended Byron’s landscaping, especially Ricardo and Byron and their whole team, they are all professional workers, after seeing some of their professional and landscaping designs around the neighborhood I decided to reached out to Byron’s for an estimate,from the first call Byron’s landscaping was prompt responsive knowledgeable, and worked hard to develop the perfect and beautiful design and vision for my front yard, they were highly knowledgeable and specialized in the plants and their needs,throughout the course of the project, they were fast in delivering results from removing the dying dry bush old mulch and bricks to adding organic soil fertilizer cedar mulch healthy and blooming plants and all for a very reasonable and competitive price they are the best $12,500 dollars I have invested in landscaping, finally I just have to emphasize that Ricardo and Byron’s landscaping and his whole team were hardworking responsive professional detail-oriented,wonderful people to do business with I highly recommend them .

I used Byron's for a big project fixing up my yard, that cost over $10k. It is run by a man named Ricardo who pretends he is one of many reps, and has a boss named "Byron" to defer blame. When you ask about Byron apparently he moved to Hawaii.

Pros - Byron's was quick and started working within a day or two. His sprinkler guy was good and honest.

Cons - Terrible job. They poured cement slabs, the cement came out very poor and looks chipped everywhere. When I told them to fix it they came back with a cheaper cement that now after 2 months, looks even worse. He spilled cement all over my driveway, all over the street, and won't clean it. He committed to picking out plants with me for the garden bed, instead he planted whatever he wanted suddenly. I had my grass lawn outside the sidewalk turned to gravel - he did not do this properly and within a month the place was covered in weeds. I have to get it redone now.

He's also not trustworthy. He lies about his costs and adds on fees, pretends he visited when he doesn't, and then shows up unannounced to make you stop what you're doing.

This is one of those landscaping companies that distributes their fliers all around neighborhoods, ironically creating a ton of litter in your current landscaping if you don't take the time to carefully peel the tape off your property before the Houston weather gets to it.
I wish they would spend their money on marketing that is less inconvenient to the customers they are trying to gain.

I paid $8800.00 for installation of a retaining wall and installation of some artificial turf in my small front yard. The work progressed smoothly. The retaining wall was well done, the turf install is a little ruff but acceptable. I fully paid. I then turned on my sprinkler system, which they agreed to cap in places and found leaks. Repeated contact asking for assistance with no response. I would not recommend or would suggest you not fully pay until everything completely checks out.
