We love our Goodsmith membership. Every team that has come out for various projects has been very professional, friendly and detail oriented. We like knowing that everything is taken care of and working in our home and that we have someone on call if anything goes wrong. They have special ordered and replaced built in lights for us - I would have had no idea where to find them and definitely did not want to get on a ladder to replace them. We also love using them for pressure washing and window cleaning and more. Everything they have done has been a major step up from previous contractors.

Getting a quote is easy. Adding photos to their app is a nightmare as their system doesn’t seem to have the proper engine. If you have LOTS of patience eventually pics load. Now watch it!!! Their quotes are not always true to estimates because their technicians are very quick to reassess while on site, not let the customer know, finish the job then you get a higher than estimated bill. It happened to me twice!!!! I was upset and let them know thru the app as they refuse to speak to customers. Whoever provided the estimate even admitted they had made a mistake, gave me a small discount to quiet me up. On the follow on visit to actually finish the job it happened again!!!. I then requested a phone call to speak to a manager. Nothing!!! Nobody called or apologized for increasing the estimate again. I’m a decent person so I paid but I will not be calling on this company again! Technicians do quality job but honestly the management of this company and customer satisfaction is HORRIBLE!!! This company seems to be good for the regular service or small little job you that you can find your own handyman to do. Don’t expect good leadership management from this company.

We really like Goodsmith! Getting a quote is a breeze, as is scheduling, and they are always on time. They may be a little pricier than others you see out there, but depending on how you value your time, it all evens out with not needing to get multiple quotes, re-do the task, waiting for late or no-show technicians, etc. And you save all of the frustration! I recommend. We have worked with them for so far mainly on plumbing, handyman services, lightbulb changes for reference.

The BEST!! So incredibly professional. I got on board early on, based on @tell it to your neighbor. I would trust them to just leave a key for them to get in!!

This is by far the best service we have ever used. We just had the team out to do our maintenance visit (all the lightbulbs that were out, the smoke detectors that we had taken batteries out of...) and it was so easy and convenient. We also had them come out and replace a ceiling fan correctly (my husband tried to DIY and it was a disaster). Now I'm walking around the house taking pictures of all the projects we need done and putting them in the app to get quotes and schedule the services. Everyone we have interacted with has been so professional and so nice. Seriously, love this team! We will be customers for life.

We moved to Houston 4 years ago and quickly learned that many service providers don't return phone calls, don't show up on time or don't show up at all! As with many of their members, we too realized chasing providers was not a good use of our time and joined about 5 months after we purchased our home. Goodsmith has handled large projects for us (exterior stucco repair, pool spa re-tiling) to appliance repair/maintenance, painting, plumbing, electric, garage door and quarterly service for lights, filters, smoke detectors and much more! If they don't have a partner who provides a service you need, they'll recommend a provider. I am most grateful for the generator they installed. Due to space limitations on our property we were not able to install a Generac. Goodsmith did the research and found an option that would work, plumbed into our existing gas line and reworked the circuits on the electrical panel. When we lost power from Hurricane Beryl, we were very fortunate to have the generator! It has capacity for one HVAC unit, the master bedroom, the refrigerator, stove, fireplace and the bedroom with the WiFi equipment. It is their team that helped us find a solution for our home!

The techs have always been prompt, polite and willing to answer all questions. The same goes for their project managers. The ad hoc services they provide to their members before extreme weather provides peace of mind that your home is protected. Just had my first maintenance appt with Goodsmith. The Tech was polite, thorough, and fast. He changed the filters, batteries on smoke alarms, checked a few other things and changed a flickering light fixture that has been bothering us for 6months! We would’ve never gotten around to taking care of these seemingly simple tasks without the help of this service. Great first experience.

This was my first time using a handyman repair service. I was out of town and the garage man door came off the hinges at the top. My tenant was unable to do anything with the very heavy 8-ft door hanging ajar. After a little research on Google, I found the good Smith app. I liked what I saw so I took a risk and put in a request. The company was extremely communicative, and the handyman did an impeccable job. The final rate was extremely reasonable… Reasonable enough that I will definitely use them again. It’s helpful to find a service you trust that you’re not scared to call because rates are crazy. Give them a try!
