House Cleaning reviews in Houston, Texas

The worse pool service ever. My pool is green. Where is the pride and dignity? Wish I could give a zero star because they don’t deserve any star rating from me!
-
Pool Scouts shows up on time as promised. They are very professional. Their technicians are always in uniform and my pool looks great week after week. I highly recommend them.

They are always on time when they service your pool. They do not take short cuts. If there is a problem with the pool, they respond immediately and resolve it no matter what it takes. I’m very satisfied with Pool Scouts!

Worst pool service I have ever worked with. Jeremy took us off the schedule after I let him know we were putting our home on the market. He claimed that I said we had sold the house. Still, miscommunication happens. We got put back on the schedule but the rarely showed up to service the pool but were happy to continue to bill us for all extra chemicals and no-show appointments. Jeremy was annoyed when we were able to reach him. There was no contacting the pool scouts office. No one was EVER there. The last straw was yesterday when my husband spoke with Jeremy the day before. Jeremy said that a tech would show up on Thursday morning. Like always, no one showed up. After a month and a half of taking Pool scouts at their word that they would stop by and add proper chemical and clean our pool, our pool is disgusting. We are at the point where we have to drain it and refill it. On our final call with Jeremy, he was rude and condescending, defensive because he knew he had not performed his job whatsoever. If you are a customer of Pool scouts of North Houston, you are not a priority to them

My grandson came over to visit and asked when I last had the dryer vent cleaned. I told him I probably never had, so he called DryerHive for me right away. They came out the next morning to take a look.
I couldn't believe how much lint and mess they pulled out of the vent after all these years. It was a lot worse than I thought. Since they finished the dryer vent cleaning, the dryer actually runs quiet and gets the clothes done much faster. I didn't realize it would make such a big difference. I’m glad my grandson noticed it and called them! -
When my fiancée and I moved in together to a new apartment, we combined two households' worth of laundry to our dryer and it struggled immediately. We assumed it could not keep up with the volume but DryerHive came out and found the vent had been partially blocked long before we even moved in.
They did a deep dryer duct cleaning and removed the dirt that was causing the dryer to work poorly. The increased laundry load just made an existing problem impossible to ignore. They cleared everything out and our dryer handles our dirty clothes without any problem now. -
There was a faint burning smell in my laundry room every time the dryer ran and I kept telling myself it was nothing. Weeks went by before I finally admitted that it was not normal. DryerHive came and found the vent was so blocked that the dryer had been running dangerously hot for a long time. The technician was honest with me about how serious it had gotten and I appreciated the honesty even though it was uncomfortable to hear.

DryerHive has done it and made my vent system feel relieved of the thick cloggin’. Also made me feel relieved of anxiety from the dangers it impose. Super thankful and happy.

My dryer was acting very weird lately and it smelled a bit like it was burning. I was very nervous to use it because I did not want to have a fire in my home. The team came over and did a dryer vent cleaning for me today. They found a lot of lint and dust inside the pipe that was blocking all the air. Now the smell is totally gone and the air flows out perfectly. I am so happy I did not have to buy a new machine. They were very sweet and did a great job here in Houston.

We live in a duplex and share a vent stack, and we realized the neighbor’s lint was actually blowing back into our line because the old damper was stuck open. DryerHive came out and cleaned both sides at the same time, which was super convenient. They cleared out the common pipe and installed a backflow damper, so now we aren't trading lint with the neighbors anymore!
-
We use commercial liquid fabric softener in the dryer which appears to create a waxy paste when mixed with the dryer lint. Our vent wasn't just dirty, it had a coating of sticky residue on it that your average leaf blower couldn't budge. DryerHive in Houston used a motorized brush system during the dryer vent cleaning process to scrub the pipe walls. It's the only way to get that chemical buildup out so it doesn't stick next week with all the lint.
-
We recently had spray foam insulation done in our Houston house. The foam installers accidentally sprayed over the dryer vent pipe in the attic which led to it overheating with nowhere for the heat to escape. DryerHive discovered the hot spot with their thermal imaging during a dryer vent cleaning. They were able to clear it out and help us make a thermal gap so our attic wasn't a fire danger.

I was tired of waiting all day for my laundry to finish. It took two hours for just one load of towels. After the dryer vent cleaning, everything is done so much faster now. It gives me more time to relax and I am very happy I called them.

Al and his guys did a great job in re-plastering our pool. We had a lot of rain during the process but it did not affect the quality of work. Very professional and a company that you can rely on with pool service and major repairs.

We’ve used Sandstone Pool Service for more than 5 years and they have kept our pool in great condition! Marcus is fantastic—he keeps the pool and filter clean and the chemicals balanced.

I appreciate when companies emphasize the importance of communication, but I recently encountered a situation that highlighted a significant lapse in that area. After having a service performed, I wasn't informed that a screw cap might be stripped. Unfortunately, the pump was left on, which led to my pool dropping 15 inches in water level later that day.
While I had a technician come out three days later to address the issue, I was informed that the company could no longer accommodate my service needs and would need to discontinue my service after just one week. This experience has been quite frustrating, and I feel it’s important to share it with my HOA community so others can be aware.
I believe it’s crucial for companies to take responsibility for their actions and work towards better customer service. I hope they can learn from this situation and improve in the future. -
We have been using Sandstone for roughly a year. They are great and the owner is very personable and easy to get a hold of and chat with.

Switched to Sandstone for my weekly pool service recently and I’m really glad I did. Albert came out and personally bid my pool, and their work and communication is outstanding. They send a follow up email with all of the work they performed and a photo of the pool when they left. They even pulled all of the debris from Beryl out before I had a chance to get to it myself! I’ll be using them in the fall to remodel and resurface my pool. Great company, highly recommend!

Our pool was 12 years old and needed new plaster. We knew there were some leaks that needed identifying and taken care of as well. We received a number of bids for the plaster and felt that Sandstone (Al) gave us the best value for our money. We agreed to move forward and could not be happier.
Al brought in Andy McCoy and team (A+ Leak Detection) to perform a leak test. Very reasonable price and leaks were found. Al gave us a price for taking care of the leaks and redoing stone work around the water fountain. Andy and team went WAY BEYOND to make sure everything looked great and leaks were gone. Take a look at the fountain and pictures.
We upgraded the plaster to Quartzscape (blue) for a richer and deeper blue look. Once the plaster was completed and we were filling up the pool, a storm came through and blew in a lot of leaves and such. Combined with rain, the leaves and mess stained parts of the plaster. We called Al about the stains and he said he would take care of it. Technically, it was not his problem as the plaster was complete. Nevertheless, he sent guys out that literally got into the pool, found every stain, and removed them.
There are things that the homeowner must take care of to ensure the plaster looks great and does not streak. Al made sure upfront that we were aware and what our responsibilities were. (I have heard of other people that did not fill the pool promptly or brush the sides as instructed and were displeased. That is their responsibility and not the pool company.)
The pool looks great and we are very pleased. Al has someone coming out weekly for the first month, included in the price, to get the chemicals and water just right. The pictures show the pool after the first week.
Al did a great job keeping us informed along the way. When we had questions, he called, texted, or stopped by within minutes. Regardless of the issue or concern, he made sure everything turned out great.
Would I do it again with Sandstone and team? Absolutely. Great result, great price, and great customer service along the way! -
Had a pool leak and it was fixed within 2 days + new fire pit rocks and metal screens. Good solid company will use them again on my renovation
