Edgar came out this morning and did an inspection of our chimney. He explained in detail what he would be doing then did the inspection. When he finished, he had photos of what needed attention, again explained the processes and the cost for each then emailed me a copy. Very professional and proud of what he does. We recently purchased a house and wanted to get a chimney sweep done before using the fireplace. Val did a through inspection along with the cleaning. He gave us the option for some repairs or to add a gas log system. We got everything done and in a timely manner. We highly recommend them and will use them again in the future. We bought a house and the gas fireplace had not been well maintained. The fireplace had been burning improperly and had 25 years of creosote build up. Edgar came out and told us what he recommended. A few days later he and his partner were out there cleaning and repairing. They did an excellent job, the fireplace looks great! They even painted the exterior chimney just so the repaired area would look seamless. Edgar and his partner explained everything they were doing, just so we could understand how things worked. He also took a lot of pictures so we could see what things looked like in that chimney and the work they had done. And, very importantly, he saved us a lot of money. He recommended only the things we really needed, the things that would add most value, last the longest and be the safest choice. They were knowledgeable, courteous, professional and communicative. I can't say enough about Edgar and his partner, I highly recommend them for any fireplace work you need.

Val from Lone Star Chimney was incredibly professional from start to finish. He installed a new gas log system for me and performed a thorough deep cleaning of my chimney. During the inspection, Val also noticed some cracking in the seal on my chimney’s top cover—something I would have never spotted myself—and he took care of it right away.

They were wonderful. Called them out to fix the outside Chimney that was leaking. They gave us a quote and gave us a quote and looked inside our chimney from inside and advised us that we didn’t have a wood burning fireplace flume but a gas flume. We had been burning wood for years. Extremely dangerous. Edgar was wonderful and was always here when he said he would be his crew were very kind and professional. Edgar explained everything along the way.

I decided to call Lone Star Chimney to come and fix my chimney after experiencing water leakage in my fireplace during heavy rain. The representative of Lone Star, Edgar, came out the next day to diagnose the problem, took pictures and explained everything in detail. Its’ crew came back within a week and fixed everything as promised. Edgar took pictures and walked me throughout the process. He reported and explained everything in detail including the warranty, and answered all my questions. The service was clean, professional and precise. I would highly recommend Lone Star to anyone who is looking for a roofing or chimney maintenance service.

I had a chimney cap and Chase pan blown off my chimney top from a 60 mile an hour wind over a week ago. Lone Star Chimney sent Edgar and his partner to inspect it. This house is 40 years old and Edgar showed me that it could not be restored due to the severe rust. Chimney top was covered with a tarp while waiting for the custom-made pan to be manufactured.They returned with the new cap and pan. They restored the loose bricks and installed both items with a seal and screwed it to the chimney and was secured with screws and anchors. Edgar was highly professional, extremely courteous and explained everything in great details. I couldn’t ask for anything better; exceptional job, well done. He sent me pictures of the finished job, my wife and I thank him very much.

Val installed stainless steel chase caps and chimney tops on two separate chimneys at our home during the same visit. Overall we are very pleased with the upgrade. The stainless steel components are a big improvement over what we had before and should provide long term protection for the chimneys.

Val is knowledgeable about chimney systems and was willing to explain the work and answer our questions. We appreciated that he took the time to make sure the main components were properly installed and secured.

I am including photos with this review so others can see the finished work and make their own assessment. Overall we are happy with the improvement and glad to have both chimneys better protected.
