I am very pleased with the repairs done by Brushers Chimneys on my house. My chimney use to leak a lot every time it rained. My chimney cap was old and rusted. Brushers Chimney installed a new Custom Chimney Cap. There has been many rainy days since the repairs were done but now I do not have to worry about rain falling down my chimney and into my fireplace anymore. I am a very satisfied customer.

The stressful task of repairing our fireplace and chimney was especially daunting because there was not a local company to service our problems, but Brushers Chimney came to our rescue. The fine employees diagnosed our problems, gave sensible solutions and acted quickly to resolve our issues. The workers were pleasant, efficient and steadfast. Most of all they did a fine job. Now we can use our fireplace again without fear of setting the house on fire.

I highly recommend this company if you’re looking to fix up your fireplace/chimney. They were more than helpful, did a deep clean of the whole thing, fixed up all the cracks. Not to mention they were super efficient they had one guy cleaning from downstairs, one from the roof and they left my house cleaner than before! 10/10 I’ll be using them again.

Daniel is a professional! Very safety-minded and EXCELLENT worker. He delivered on all promises and did it with a smile. He called and texted to keep me informed of the status of my service. Great execution of the agreed on deliverables. In fact, I needed a special order chimney cap, which original delivery date was 3 weeks. Daniel worked closely with Brushers' management to find an alternate source with a 1 week delivery. Brushers Chimney are fortunate to have such a fine representative of their goods and services.

These guys are super professional. They explain and break everything down for you. They didn't make a mess at all and left the fireplace in a safer place for me and my family. They came all the way to Louisiana so don't think that just because they are from Texas that they won't service your home. I highly recommend this company!

We had some hurricane damage to the trim around our chimney. Brushes was very quick to come out and give an estimate. Agreed to the price and was called to schedule that same day.
Work was completed on time and the they and was very professional. Pictures were provided of the work completed which was very helpful since I wasn’t going to climb onto the roof.
I will definitely use Brushers Chimneys again.

I posted a review on Thumbtack regarding the service I received from Brushers Chimneys which I gave a designation of 2 stars. They used a subcontractor, Samual, Who was not properly trained or outfitted to perform the task which lead to soot being distributed throughout our living room and most of our kitchen. Shortly after I posted that review in November 2025 I received a call from BC asking me if I would change my review to at least 4 stars. I told the woman that I give honest reviews of services both good and bad. I negotiated a price of $350 cash down from $450 which I felt even then was a bit too high. The woman stated after some discussion that they would refund my money after I provided some photos, which I promptly did. My wife actually has a video during our clean up efforts to show the soot being cleaned up. The woman then requested that I change my review. I explained that what she was attempting to do was purchase my integrity to which I said that would not happen. I said I would modify my review once I had received the refund she offered and not before. As of the writing of this review, 12/31/25, I have not received the refund, not reimbursed for my time spent cleaning up the mess, nor received any other contacts from Brushers to follow up. People in Houston may be receiving a different quality of service since this is Brushers home turf. Outliers beware. You will get substandard service from subcontractors not sufficiently trained that will arrive with improper equipment for the job, and may likely leave you with a home full of soot deposited throughout left behind for you to then clean up. No amount of response to this post from Brushers Chimney will offset the fact that they offered a full refund that was to be in the form of a check mailed to me that they have not fulfilled. This not only gives Brushers Chimney a black eye, but it harms the Thumbtack brand, as well. I intend to get with Thumbtack to reiterate my experience as my follow up. I would recommend to anyone looking to have their chimney cleaned to consider what happened to us before you agree to allow these unprofessional, untrained, improperly equipped people into your home.

This is an update: After making this post I was contacted by Brushers Chimney. After some discussion I was assured that a refund would be forthcoming. The refund arrived on 1/8/2026. I submitted it to my bank 1/9/2026. Verified check cleared 1/10/2026. On 1/9/2026 I received a call from Brushers as they noted I had deposited the refund which was for the amount I paid for their service. There was no additional money added for my lost time and the inconvenience of the mess left behind although, they did offer to have someone come to clean up the mess. Naturally, my wife and I had pretty much tackled that job which I reiterated in earlier conversations. I had no intentions of waiting while soot covered everything in our living room and kitchen. I admit I was less than pleasant with the young lady when I received a call asking me to remove my reviews of them on the platforms I posted on. I'm at this time adjusting my review from 1 to 3 stars only because they finally sent the refund after multiple postings. I still do not recommend their services since I was informed that the individual that serviced us is, in fact, one of their trained employees and literally less than half of what is on the website of the service to be performed was actually done. Earlier I stated he was a subcontractor based on what he told me and the fact that he initially bumped the price $50 then lowered it after we spoke.

I had a great experience with Brushers Chimney here in Houston. Daniel came out to my house and not only revived my roof so I could get several more years out of it, but he also fixed a sag near the chimney, cleaned out the chimney, and made sure everything was ready to go for the winter. He was professional, straightforward, and I really feel like he gave me a good deal. Daniel did excellent work, and I’ll definitely be using him again. I would absolutely recommend Brushers Chimney to anyone looking for reliable service and quality craftsmanship.

I'm so impressed with the services by Brushers Chimneys. Not only is the fireplace pretty enough to leave the screen open, it's fully vacuumed, sealed, painted, and refreshed. The technician was so polite and professional, completing a very thorough job in a reasonable timeframe. I'll be scheduling Brushers for my annual maintenance going forward.

Adam & William did a GREAT job for me! Adam gave me a fully comprehensive inspection report explained everything completely. The work was done perfectly and I can finally use my fireplace after too many long years. Both workmen were professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and very kind. Highly recommend!

These contractors are very professional. They called in advance and arrived on time, set up and spent several hours on our chimney. They went the extra mile in caulking a couple of items at our request too. Before and after pics- It looks great!

We really needed our fireplace inspected and cleaned. Daniel came out and gave us a very knowledgeable and thorough explanation of our options. We are seniors and he was very polite, patient and kind while answering all our questions.

We are very happy with Daniel and the service done on our fireplace. He was very professional and knowledgeable.. I was impressed with protecting the inside of our house with the cleaning using mats to prevent dust and dirt flying everywhere.
