After trying three different AC vendors without success, Air Current identified the problem - their team cleaned the upstairs unit's outside compressor, which had become clogged and was causing error codes every day during peak heat hours. They confirmed that I needed to replace the Lennox S30 Thermostat/Smart Hub, as it wasn't connecting to Wi-Fi.
