I contracted Absolute Building Consultants to build my mom a basic studio apartment above our garage last year and wanted to give it a little time of her living in it before writing a review.
We started with a basic layout but after sitting down putting everything on paper we decided we could stretch the budget a bit further. We ended up going from the planned bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette, to a full 960sq.ft. one bedroom apartment that overhangs my driveway enough to cover 2 cars.
The quality of work greatly surpassed our expectations. As soon as we did the reveal to mom, she started crying because she wasn’t expecting to have such a beautiful home. Garrett and Carlos were excellent in helping us make decisions, not only on the basic layout but everything all the way down to door hardware. Once they had an idea of what we were looking for, they executed it perfectly. I can’t say enough what a pleasure it was working with them and they stand by their product. Any issue we’ve had, even though they were minimal, was taken care of immediately and with a smile.
Unfortunately, mom passed 6 months after completion but those 6 months were some of the happiest times she had in a long time. She was constantly taking pictures and sending them to family, saying “look at my new home. Isn’t it pretty?”
If you’re looking to remodel, add-on, or build a new custom home, these are the guys to reach out to first. They’ll do everything in their power to make sure you have a smooth build with as little disruption as possible. Just all around great guys that will treat you like family.

Jerrod Robertson and his guys did a great job at a good price for our residential breaker panel replacement. We had a previous quote from John Moore for 3 times what Jerrod charged. A written contract was used, which seems to be rare these days for residential contractors. Best residential contractor experience I've ever had.

We were due for maintenance on our generator before Beryl struck the Houston area. We never imagined to be without electricity for 7 days straight. We were unsuccessful in finding maintenance service and were in dire need due to my sister’s use of a ventilator, which she utilizes 24/7. I came across Robertson Electric on Nextdoor. I called and spoke with Mr. Robertson and explained my sister’s situation and was informed he would send someone to do maintenance on our Generac generator that day. Robertson Electric is unbelievable! The owner, Jerrod Robertson, personally came and serviced our generator. We had called ~20+ other companies and nobody would take us on as a customer. I was impressed with the quickness and professionalism that Robertson Electric provided in our time of need. We had wires that were messed with and we contacted them and within a day they were already making movement to fix the issue. I appreciate Jerrod Robertson for coming and assessing the situation himself and explaining all needed procedures to make the process not only fast and efficient, but also with no issues. Hunter, Robert, and Jerrod’s communication was also great, from explaining what needed to happen from the start, to updating us through the process the whole time, and even when they encountered an extra problem that needed fixing (they fixed it), until finishing the project. Got an interlock kit and a 50a generator inlet plug installed in my house. The installation is very professional and the generator works as it should. Highly recommend 👍
