Run away. These guys have been called out by the home warranty several times over the past couple years. Every time they try and sell us all kinds of stuff we dont need. Most recent was a water heater that they said they would need to bring up to code and it would be $2700.00. We know what the code requirments are for a water heater and the city inspector looked at it and verified that the water heater did in fact meet code requirments. Stay away from these people.

Rep from this company came out to fix a clogged drain. He tried to snake it and left the sink clogged even more and wanted to cut several holes in my wall to fix. He ran out as fast as he could. Another company came out next day and unclogged it within 20 mins. Don’t use this company.

We called for 2 broken toilets. The Pipe Doctor (who is awesome) told us he would send a guy over to look at the problem. The tech was very friendly and had a caring attitude about the problem we were dealing with. Took the time to explain what he would be doing and worked until he got the problem resolved. Would highly recommend this company. They will definitely be our first call if we ever need anything else done.

There is a reason Pipe Doctor has 1 star ratings on some sites, and a 3.7 of 5 on Google. Josh Beck came to my house via OneGuard, my (now former) warranty company. He was rude, unprofessional and refused to do his job. The likely truth? Josh is about 50 pounds too heavy to have diagnosed the problem - as he'd have had to get under the house. I requested an average to slim plumber for that request - clearly nobody got the memo.
He claimed he needed authorization to go under the house - which OneGuard confirmed he did not.

When he submitted his report to OneGuard? He stated he wouldn't come back into my house "until it is entirely clean and sanitized." My furniture is out. What's left are things that had to come out of chests and file cabinets due to a flood. I told him that - when I said, "Don't judge, I'm so embarrassed." Packers and movers came today - even though my shower leak is still not diagnosed - and 2/3s of what's in the house is gone.... as I told him it would be.

He also stated that "multiple animals must be contained." I have 8 cats and a parrot (in a cage). They are ALWAYS "contained" when work is done in the house. I am not a hoarder or some weird animal person. Prior to this unexpected disaster in the house - I have a cleaning lady 3 times a week. I'm moving out temporarily after a catastrophic series of events, my house is being gutted on Monday (and homeowner's is covering it - so it was not caused by me, my cats, or a lack of cleanliness). It LED to a messy house, for sure.

The shower was spotless. The access point was spotless. The rest was dust and boxes and depressing (to me) - which is why I apologized to him, and explained I'm moving the rest of these things out over the next few days.

Truth? He isn't physically capable of doing the job because he doesn't fit under the house. The warranty company apologized for him. So... my lesson? Check references, even if they're sent by a warranty company.

I am certain he'll reply to this... and all I can say is, I remodel and flip houses for a living. These 7 rentals I thought I'd try with a warranty company (2 months ago). I can't remember a single time I've had a contractor as rude and unprofessional as Josh Beck. (I'm also canceling the warranty company. It was supposed to help my blood pressure, not make it worse.)

    Run.

Luckily he was still in my driveway and he came back and fixed it. I am still having a leaky toilet. We have arranged for them to return . But they will not return on day s needed. Plumber had a a class to attend ,plumber not available on so on. One guard will not let us change plumbers. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Quoted me over $1000 to fix a toilet leak via my home warranty company. I was told they needed to reinforce my bathroom floor. Anyways, the issue was the wax ring and another plumber fixed this for much cheaper. Not sure why a plumbing company thinks I pay them to reinforce a floor.

Took one look at my water heater that was leaking and said well we will contact your home warranty that might be a few days then left. Made no effort to help to stop the leak or any suggestions. Now I have more home repairs to do as a result.

Used First American Home Warranty due to a bathtub leak soaking my carpet. Plumbers arrived with boots on, walked across my carpet. Spent about 10 minutes and told me I lacked calking. I asked them to stay while I refilled the tub. They just drove away. I had the calking fixed, carpet soaked again. On my own, I found 2 screws mounting the overflow valve and tightened them. Fixed the problem. Took me 10 minutes, right in front of me. First American refunded my money when they discovered just how bad these guys are. Run, don't let them in your house.

WORST PLUMBING SERVICE! You are better off on Craigslist. Book you 3 weeks to month out, then don’t show. The MOST UNPLEASANT and RUDE phone receptionists. Will go out of my way to help people to avoid this “company.” Worst experience ever

After being serviced by 2 other plumbing companies that were not able to successfully complete the job, our third attempt with Pipe Doctors finally completed the job correctly! The plumbers were professional, pleasant and successful. Will definitely use again.

If I could give him a 0 I would. He didn’t even introduce himself. My water heater is in the garage and I left the garage door open. He walked in my garage and took a few pictures and then told
Me it would cost at least $1207 to replace using a warranty service. He was at my house no more than 5 minutes. He did nothing but then called and texted several times the next few days to see if I wanted to do the repairs. We had someone else come and explain everything and replace our water heater for way less! Total scam!

UPDATE: I did get a 2nd opinion and then escalated my claim to First American showing that the existing faucets didn't need "modification" but needed a new cartridge which is a repair. First American reviewed and approved the payment to my 2nd opinion to repair my faucet. NEVER USE PIPEDOCTOR 24-7!

THEY QUOTED $1000 TO CHANGE 2 BATHROOM FAUCETS NOT INCLUDING THE FAUCETS! A handyman will install a faucet for $50.00 - $100 each if you provide the faucet. Home warranty sent PipeDoctor 24-7 to stop my leak, he didn't stop my leak, he couldn't get the faucet off and told the Home Warranty the pipes needed "modification" which is not true so they denied the claim because "modifications" are not covered. I am getting a 2nd opinion from my plumber who said the fact the technician didn't know how to get the faucet off shows he is either not a plumber or he doesn't know what he is doing. He said he could have stopped my leak in 15 mins before he left, but he didn't also another tell that he didn't know what he was doing. Also, I am left now with a heavy leak ALL WEEKEND because of this companies INCOMPETENCE since my plumber can't get here, until Monday, to give me a 2nd opinion write up to send to the HOME WARRANTY so they will cover my repair that IS covered under my premium warranty I have. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY WILL GOUGE YOU & YOU WILL REGRET IT.

1 Star is too much for this company - please avoid. Abandoned a leaking pipe and said another technician needs to come out to fix this... Provided no timeline and was unreachable following the visit. Called another plumbing company who diagnosed the problem quickly. Pipe Doctor/Scammer team was not interested in fixing as it required a part replacement (covered in Home Warranty plan). First American Home warranty and this company are a great team to work with if you want to lose money and sleep. Cost me an additional $250. Need these businesses to be shut down.

I woke up to a weird dripping sound coming from the bathroom, only to discover a slow leak from the toilet base. I thought it was something huge, but the repair guy checked it and fixed a loose seal in no time. The bathroom finally feels normal again.

We reported a water leak to our warranty company and they submitted our service request to The Pipe Doctor. The tech who arrived at our property worked on the toilet tank fill for about 10 mins. and said that he was finished. I checked the water meter and water was still running. I told him the there was still a leak and told he me that "the company doesn't pay him enough" to find the leak. I informed the warranty company and told them never send this company to any of our properties in the future, and to arrange for another company to complete the job.

I wish I could give zero stars. These people are crooks and scammers. Do not trust them at all.

First American Home warranty sent them out for a leaky toilet. The tech took one look at my toilet and said I needed to replace a rusted flange. He said he’d contact the warranty company for approval and schedule the repair.
Somehow, the new flange turned into a $975 quote for a “modification” to extend my drain pipe by 3 inches. This was of course, not covered by my warranty.

This tech never touched or looked at anything on my toilet so I have no idea how he could know that the drain pipe needs to be extended because of a leak. I called and emailed them multiple times for an explanation and they never responded to me. I guess they knew they had no explanation for such an outrageous lie.

The leak was actually caused by a worn out wax seal, something any half decent plumber would have known. I took the cashout from the warranty company and had someone else come fix it for a much more reasonable price.

Crooks and liars like the Pipe Doctor need to be put out of business. If your warranty company tries to force them on you, cancel the warranty.

Seems like my experience has been very similar to others. I would never hire this company! They were contracted through First American, my warranty company, and did a terrible job and had terrible service. The tech who came seemed very inexperienced and didn't listen to us when we explained the problems we're having. He ended up breaking our kitchen faucet without fixing the problem and when First American requested that a different technician come to address three problem, the begrudgingly send the same technician who ended up walking out halfway through assessing the problem because he "knew that it wasn't that." I highly recommend you find a different company.
