I spent a year and a half trying to find a landscaping company that would listen to the plan I had for my yard and help me make it happen. Plenty responded and plenty flaked out. When asking around, someone told me to reach out to Greenthumb. Fast forward to the completion on my 3 month project (my idea, their design, their installation and final touches) and I am 100% pleased. I am very particular about things and they accommodated every request. Not only did they (owners Mark and Dawn) accommodate me wanting things done in a particular way, but when I asked one of the guys doing the labor to change something, they did so happily and were genuinely concerned that I was happy with their work. My house now looks like something you would see in a magazine. I am beyond thrilled.

I would 110% recommend Greenthumb and am excited about future projects with them. My most OCD requests were met with an understanding that it was what I wanted and they followed through. The crew was amazing and worked hard from beginning to end. They did it all, new beds, removed clay, proper planting of plants, irrigation, drainage, fence enclosures, landscape lighting and they have an extensive knowledge of which plants to recommend for certain areas of the yard. They were there when they said they would be and worked until the job was done. Mark and Dawn are personally involved in every aspect and take pride in the final result. They have the resources and their crews have the knowledge you would expect from a giant company, but they still operate in a format where you don’t feel like just another customer.

Did a large landscape install that is beautiful and held up well over the years. I interviewed multiple companies for this job and felt like Mark and the crew were far and away the best value.

Mark is great at servicing our lawn. He recently planted privacy trees for us at a fair price and was able to accommodate my request to squeeze in his schedule (weather cooperating) due to potential HOA penalty.

After a couple of years of struggling to keep our grass and a garden alive, I spoke with Mark. He suggested a compost treatment on the lawn, and a change out of plants in the garden to some that are better suited to my soil and local climate. He also recommended changes to the irrigation design in the garden. Lawn and garden work have both done the trick, and my yard looks great!

I also asked Mark to look at some drainage issues in my yard that were driving me crazy. He designed a French drain to manage water flow, and it looks and works great. When the crew installed it, they went far above and beyond and even made some fixes to gutter water flow that they discovered. They also put sod over areas they dug for the French drain, which was unexpected but appreciated!

I will be using Green Thumb for further projects moving forward, as well as for regular fertilization, weed control, and compost treatments.

I started a project that took me a ton of time. I didn't finish it and realized how long it was going to take me. I called mark and he made time to come out that week and look at the space. The following week, Dawn contacted me with a fair estimate and had a number of interactions with me until every question I had was answered. The team that came out and did the pavers for me did awesome and Dawn came out herself to check on my project during the day. What i thought I could do by myself took 5 guys and 8 hours, every penny spent was worth it. Thanks Green Thumb!

We have used Green Thumb Landscaping on 2 different projects. The projects included new plants, new sod, slate walkway, patio extension, landscape lighting, and backyard design and renovation.
All work was done to our satisfaction and at a reasonable cost. We were especially pleased with the landscape lighting as it proved to be very reliable as compared to lighting fixtures at the home improvement centers.
We highly recommend Mark and Dawn for the above reasons and because they don't try to "up sale" and they do what they said they will do.
We plan to use them again in the future.

We are so lucky we found Green Thumb Landscaping! Mark was personable and easy to work with. Prices are reasonable and quality of work was even better then expected. They created a beautiful garden bed in our backyard with stonework, trees and a variety of other plants. Mark created a beautiful design. There were some obstacles with very large rocks under the soil and Mark worked with us to find a solution that was still within our budget. I have had the pleasure of working with Mark and Dawn and their company, Green Thumb Landscaping, for nearly 10 years. Green Thumb has done some major landscaping jobs for us at our home and also handles our weekly grooming. After the October 2019 tornado that struck us and other neighbors in north Dallas, Mark and Dawn mobilized their crews and did a tremendous job of clearing 6 large trees in our yard that had been destroyed. I can’t overstate how great Mark and Dawn were in the aftermath of the tornado – both of them were personally at our house supervising the crew multiple times. They also stepped-up and helped one of our immediate neighbors in taking some trees down.
Green Thumb recently completed a landscaping project that they designed for us to compensate from the loss of trees – my wife and I are very, very happy about the design and installation of two new beds in our front yard, new trees, lighting and repairs to beds, driveway borders and our sprinkler system. I have no reservations in recommending Green Thumb for all aspects of your landscaping needs – they will take good care of you!

Dawn and Mark did an amazing job designing and constructing our side-yard. They were extremely patient in helping us come up with an idea that fit our small space. We love the fact that Dawn created detailed drawings of what the project would look like! The finished project exceeded our expectations and blew us away! We are so excited to use our new outdoor living area and cannot recommend using Green Thumb Landscaping enough!
